Mel Gibson’s Movie Comeback: “The Beaver.” Watch The Bizarre Trailer

With everything going on in Mel Gibson‘s personal life, it’s hard to believe that his big on screen comeback revolves around Mel having his arm up a beaver as a form of mental therapy.

But that is exactly what the bizarre, but true-to-life-sounding movie, The Beaver, is about: Mel plays a depressed father and estranged husband who attempts to bounce back from his downward spiral by communicating with the world via a beaver puppet.

The Beaver stars and is directed by fellow Academy Award winner Jodie Foster and is scheduled for a Spring 2011 release.

7/25 UPDATE: GENE SIMMONS PROPOSES!

Rock legend and Kiss bassist, Gene Simmons, and his long-time girlfriend and former Playboy Playmate of the Year, Shannon Tweed, play suburban parents to their two children on their hit reality show, Family Jewels.

The power duo came to The Grove in Los Angeles for an interview with Mario Lopez of Extra.

Mario asked Shannon, “Which is your all-time favorite episode of Family Jewels?” Shannon jokingly replied: “All of them because we get to make fun of Gene!”

A fan had a very important question for the couple. She asked them: “Would getting married ruin your relationship?” As you can see in the picture above, Gene chuckled out loud “Ohohohoho!” Shannon, on the other hand said: “I think getting married would be really great for us but I may be alone in my thoughts!”

Family Jewels airs Sundays on A&E 9/8c.

Oh my loving God, what is this? If you are a child of the 80’s and 90’s, you will want to watch this immediately!

Funny that the video is shot with an ocean in the background because the video includes the most random group of washed up celebs ever, lip-synching to “Let It Be!” Why?

Apparently this video is a promo spot for a Norwegian talk show. I wont tell you who all is in this video, but, it’s pretty crazy how they got all these people to sign up for this project. Well-done!

Last week, Director Bill Condon threw all of us Twihards a bone by tweeting a still photo of Breaking Dawn. That one ambiguous shot was enough to send all of us Twihards into a state of utter dizziness.

But now, oh my, a video has surfaced capturing a couple of takes of the beach kissing scene between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson – A scene celebrating the honeymoon of Bella and Edward.

There is no sound, but, I don’t think any sound would have been loud enough anyway to drown out the screams of fans watching this masterpiece! So, who needs sound…

Taylor Swift Named Entertainer Of The Year

Entertainment Weekly has named Taylor Swift  “Entertainer of the Year.” Congrats young lady Swift.

What made her top dog this year? She starred in a movie, Valentine’s Day, won four Grammys including album of the year, released her third record, Speak Now, which sold 1,047,000 units in its first week of release alone – the highest tally for any release in five years – and has sold out one concert arena after another. All of this before reaching her 21st birthday.

In the interview, Swift talks about tabloid rumors about her music being all about men she has dated in the past; men such as Taylor Lautner, Joe Jonas, and John Mayer. She says, “Sometimes I would laugh because I would see it in print and it would say, ‘This song, which is written about her ex, so-and-so…’ And they would write about it as if it was fact. 
The fact is, I haven’t ever confirmed that any song is about any particular person. There’s something kind of freeing about that. As far as I’m concerned, it’s all still up in the air.” [You notice though, she doesn’t deny it; just sayin’.]

Wesley Snipes Headed To Prison December 9

Wesley Snipes will begin his 36-month prison term December 9 in a federal prison in Pennsylvania.

Snipes was found guilty of tax evasion in 2008 for failing to file a tax return for several prior years and owing the government $12 million dollars.

Snipes appealed the sentencing as being “unreasonable” and has been out on bond since the appeal. But a federal appeals court denied Snipe’s appeal this summer and Snipes had been waiting to hear of the commencement date of his sentence.
