Gene Simmons Daughter Auditions For The X Factor [VIDEO]

Sophie Tweed -Simmons X Factor Audition

The most notable audition on The X Factor USA tonight (September 26) belonged to Sophie Tweed-Simmons, daughter of KISS founder Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed.

Although the 19-year-old wanted to keep her identity on the back burner, the second she walked on stage in San Francisco and introduced herself judge Demi Lovato noticed. “That’s where I know you!” she said. “You’re Nick’s sister … Gene Simmons’ kid.” Continue reading

Gene Simmon Marries Shannon Tweed

KISS frontman Gene Simmons married Shannon Tweed, his three-decade long partner and the mother of his two children, on Saturday.

The nuptials took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel and was attended by their son Nick, 22, and daughter Sophie, 19.

Gene told ET‘: “It is time for me to grow up. I’m 62. I’ve been doing a lot of wacky stuff for an awfully long time…and there’s nobody I’ve ever said I love you to. I even find it difficult to say ‘I love you’ to my mother. But I love Shannon with all my heart and all my soul, and always will.”

It may have taken Gene Simmons 28 years, but the 62-year old musician is finally tying the knot with long-time girlfriend, Shannon Tweed, on October 1st.

“You’re the only friend I’ve got. You’re the only one I love and you’re the only one I ever will love,” the KISS rocker gushed to Tweed during his proposal.

The long overdue nuptials will be held at the legendary Beverly Hills Hotel and the dress code will be “classy cocktail attire…although we know some Rockstar attire will be worn.”

What’s funny is that instead of the parents of the groom and bride sending out the announcement, the wedding invite is sent by the couple’s grown kids:

“After 28 years of loose strings, our parents have finally decided to tie the knot. Our mother will share our horrendous hyphenate of a last name and our father’s life … well, it doesn’t change that much.”

It continues: “But we will be united as a family in spirit and in title forever.”

“There will no longer be a Team Tweed or a Team Simmons but instead a Team Tweed-Simmons,” the message continues.

The wedding comes after a recent split between the two from which Tweed claimed they were unlikely to recover from.

At the time of their seemingly permanent breakup, Tweed told PEOPLE:

“I need some sort of commitment.” She threatened that if Simmons’ on the side and well-documented affairs continued, the duo would be over. “Something has to give,” she said. When Simmons finally proposed, Tweed took to Twitter to tell her fans that it was “the most shocking moment” of her life.

VIDEO: Gene Simmons Proposes To Shannon Tweed

It may have taken almost three decades of dating her, and two children together, but on Tuesday night’s season finale of Gene Simmons Family Jewels, Gene Simmons will finally do something he swore he would never do: Get down on one knee and propose.

In a promo video for the episode, we see the legendary KISS rocker get down on one knee on a beach with long-time girlfriend Shannon Tweed by his side and saying those magical two words she’s been waiting to hear forever: “marry me.”

“I come with so much baggage, but you’re the only friend I’ve got,” Simmons tells Tweed. “You’re the only one I love… and you’re the only one I ever will love… I’ve never said those words to anybody. And I don’t ever want to… funny, I used to watch movies where they say I can’t live without you, but for me it’s true.”

Not sure if this episode was taped before or after the publicity tour for their show earlier this summer where Shannon said their relationship had ‘unraveled.‘ But, if it were a publicity stunt, it worked because interest in the duo is at an all time high.

Only time will tell if the proposal is still alive and kickin!  The proposal will air on Wednesday night (July 26) at 10 on A&E.

VIDEO: Shannon Tweed Says Relationship Has ‘Unraveled’ With Kiss’ Gene Simmons

There is trouble in paradise. The Family Jewels’ stars and long-time lovers Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed may have ended their relationship. The duo were on Today this morning and you could have cut the tension between the two with a knife.

Kathy Lee Gifford even asked Simmons if he were in “deep pooky” and we all know she didn’t mean pooky. And it seems to me that the answer is a big yes. Of course, it seems that Simmons’ decades-long infidelities have finally taken a toll on Tweed and she looked angry and withdrawn during the entire interview. She even said the relationship has ‘unraveled.’

The power duo came to The Grove in Los Angeles for an interview with Mario Lopez of Extra.

Mario asked Shannon, “Which is your all-time favorite episode of Family Jewels?” Shannon jokingly replied: “All of them because we get to make fun of Gene!”

A fan had a very important question for the couple. She asked them: “Would getting married ruin your relationship?” As you can see in the picture above, Gene chuckled out loud “Ohohohoho!” Shannon, on the other hand said: “I think getting married would be really great for us but I may be alone in my thoughts!”

Family Jewels airs Sundays on A&E 9/8c.
