James Franco & Seth Rogen Recreate Kanye West & Kim Kardashian’s ‘Bound 2’ Video!

James Franco and Seth Rogen have really done it. The comedic duo have just released a heelarious remake of Kanye West‘s music video for “Bound 2″.

Franco and Rogen have recreated the nauseating mountain and cloud-laden motorcycle ride, frame by frame. For the video parody which was posted to Franco’s Facebook page today, Franco channeled his inner Kanye and Rogen transformed into a much hairier but just as bouncy Kim Kardashian.  Continue reading

James Franco Bashes ‘Twilight’: It’s All About Sex

Am I the only one that doesn’t see or get James Franco‘s much-admired and so-called acting “brilliance?”

I mean, I even called the disaster that the 2011 Oscarswould be the second I heard he would be a co-host of the event.

So, it doesn’t surprise me one bit that this actor does not get what we TwiHards get and totally trashed the Twilight franchise in a column for The Paris ReviewContinue reading

This Just In! Eddie Murphy Will Host The Oscars !

Oscar nominee Eddie Murphy will host this year’s Academy Awards show on Sunday, February 26, 2012.

Can we all sing a collective hallelujah for that!

I mean, seriously, Murphy may be one of the few people on the planet who could drag up the awards show after the complete debacle of last year’s dual-hosted event by Anne Hathaway and James Franco. Please don’t mention The Adventures of Pluto Nash. Think Donkey instead!

This will be Murphy’s first hosting stint on the Oscars. “Eddie is a comedic genius, one of the greatest and most influential live performers ever,” said telecast co-producer Brett Ratner. “With his love of movies, history of crafting unforgettable characters and his iconic performances – especially on stage – I know he will bring excitement, spontaneity and tremendous heart to the show [Oscars co-producer- Don [Mischer] a and I want to produce in February.”

Commented Mischer, “Eddie is a truly ground-breaking performer, whose amazingly diverse array of roles has won him a devoted audience of all ages. His quick wit and charisma will serve him very well as Oscar host.”

“I am enormously honored to join the great list of past Academy Award hosts from Hope and Carson to Crystal, Martin and Goldberg, among others,” said Murphy. “I’m looking forward to working with Brett and Don on creating a show that is enjoyable for both the fans at home and for the audience at the Kodak Theatre as we all come together to celebrate and recognize the great film contributions and collaborations from the past year.”

Murphy began his career at the age of 15 as a stand-up comedian. In 1980, at the age of 19, he joined the cast of “Saturday Night Live,” becoming the show’s youngest cast member to that point, and bringing to life many of the show’s most memorable  characters. His 1983 album “Eddie Murphy: Comedian” won a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Recording. It included portions of his groundbreaking HBO special “Eddie Murphy Delirious.”  In 1987, “Eddie Murphy Raw” was theatrically released and went on to gross over $50 million. Murphy made his feature film debut in 1982 with the classic “48 Hrs.” and would go on to star in such box-office hits as “Beverly Hills Cop” and the “The Nutty Professor” and “Shrek” franchises. All told, movies in which he has performed have earned in excess of $7 billion worldwide during their theatrical releases.

Murphy earned an Oscar nomination in 2006 for his supporting role in “Dreamgirls.”

Anne Hathaway Speaks On Being Compared To Tasmanian Devil By James Franco

Anne Hathaway graces the latest cover of Harper’s Bazaar and inside she discusses her controversial debut as cohost of this year’s Academy Awards with James Franco.

“In the grand scheme of things, I got to have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” Hathaway said. “I met great people, wore beautiful clothes. And I got to put on a show. I don’t see a downside. Anyone who disliked my personality probably disliked my personality before the Oscars.”
It wasn’t just her personality that people may have disliked. Many also wondered if her cohost Franco was under the influence during the broadcast. Franco addressed the accusations on Late Show with David Letterman and said he may have looked stoned on the Academy Awards because “Anne Hathaway is so energetic, …the Tasmanian Devil would look stoned standing next to Anne Hathaway…she has a lot of energy.”
What was Hathaway’s reaction to being compared to the Tasmanian Devil? “How did I take it? I let James know that a whirling dervish is a more flattering comparison than a Tasmanian Devil. I called him, and we e-mailed a bit,” Hathaway said. Say what you will about her hosting capabilities, at least Hathaway proved she is a good sport!
In the interview, she also talks about her upcoming role as Catwoman in Dark Knght Rises alongside Christian Bale, and her boyfriend, Adam Shulman.

James Franco Fights Back Against Oscar Joke Writer

It’s true – James Franco did not exactly kill it as an Oscar‘s host. But Oscar joke writer Bruce Vilanch opened up a can of whoop ass on Franco in New York magazine’s Vulture blog and Franco did not wait long to strike back via Twitter.

Vilanch told Vulture: “[Franco] has so many balls in the air, he didn’t get to town till Thursday before the show on Sunday…I don’t think he realized how big a deal it is to do it until he was actually confronted with it. I think he thought he would kind of … I don’t know what he thought.” As if that wasn’t a big enough stinger, Vilanch continued,”I have to call James Franco and tell him the show’s over. He doesn’t know. He took a nap and he woke up in class.” Continue reading

Watch The Oscars Opening Montage Video Of Anne Hathaway & James Franco Getting “Inceptioned” By Alec Baldwin

VIDEO CLIP OF THE DAY.

What did you guys think of Anne Hathaway and James Franco as Oscar co-hosts? I ask because I still have not been able to watch most of the show – Too busy posting photos from the red carpet.

But the parts I watched did not seem too amusing or impressive. I mean, all I saw were verbal mistakes and shameless butt kissing of other celebs. They also lost me when Hathaway said a perk of her Oscars hosting gig was her chance to breathe the same air as Oprah Winfrey. Now, I love Oprah as much as anyone, but come on, really? Breathing the same air?

Maybe the earlier parts of their hosting were good? You tell me, cause I would love to know.

I did see the Oscars opening montage video and found that quite funny and well made.
Watch it for yourself as Hathaway and Franco try to break into Alec Baldwin‘s dreams ala Inception style:
