EMBLEM3
Song: Secrest by One Republic. The three boys sing sitting on stools at first and sound awesome.
Judges’ comments: L.A. said their stardom and appeal are never in question but they lacked emotion. Britney thought it was a nice change of pace from before and said Simon is doing well. Demi agreed with Simon. Simon said not to listen to the Grinch and the song showed a different side of them.

ARIN RAY
Song: Enrique Iglesias’ Hero, dedicated to his brother who helped raise him after their parents’ divorce.
Judges’ comments: LA said it was a great song choice but too big and tough for Arin. It required a gut wrenching performance and Arin did not give a $5M performance. Demi said Arin has to step us his A game as the competition goes on and she would not sign him if she had a record company. She was bored. Simon asked him why he’s not connecting. Arin said he’s not being himself. And Simon agreed that he’s not hearing who Arin would be in the real world. I don’t blame YOU! Britney said last week’s performance was tough and Arin was being a pro coming out here and singing again. Arin said he wants to come and sing AND dance. He wants to PERFORM.

Song: ‘Wind Beneath My WIngs’ by Bette Middler. Cece dedicates her song to Kelsey, her sister who died at a young age from cerebral palsy. CeCe sounded shaky and overtaken by emotion so much that she could not finish.
Judges’ comments: LA said “When you chose a song like that, you have to pray for emotion and I could feel yours.” He is proud of her and calls her a champion. Britney said it’s hard to critique someone who pours out their heart like that. “You’re amazing.” Simon said he can’t believe CeCe could sing after watching the emotional back story about her sister right before she took the stage. Simon said he hopes she stays in the competition. Demi is proud.

Judges’ comments: LA said it was hard to critique after all the emotion and it being a holiday, but his critique is “that was great.” Britney: “Bravo!”. Demi said she loves watching the girls together because they’re so genuine. She didn’t like the song choice but thinks their harmonies were and always are great. Simon loved the song choice and said they have clicked as a band and they’re great friends.

BEATRICE MILLER
Song: ‘Chasing Cars’ by Snow Patrol who Beatrice dedicated to her three adopted singers.
Judges’ comments: LA said Beatrice is really cute and an inspiration to every little girl in America. He added, “Britney, you have really good taste.” Demi said Beatrice is adorable but Demi is getting concerned that there is no progress week to week for her and it sounds like the same song every week. She wants to see her sing something fun and young. Simon said he slightly disagrees because he could see this song means something to Beatrice and she looked like she was chocking up. He called her sweet and said it was better than last week. Britney said it was her best performance to date.

VINO ALAN
Song: God Bless the USA. Vino dedicates his song to the military. After 911, he tried to join the military but was not allowed because of his tattoos.
Judges’ comments: The judges give him a standing ovation. What a brilliant patriotic song choice during this Holiday. Britney said it was the first performance for him that was spot on. “It was amazing.” Demi said she’s been hard on him for weeks because she just didn’t see anything in him and thinks she must be missing something about him since he keeps coming in at number 3. But she really got it tonight and thinks America will really love him tonight. Simon said you can’t judge a book by its cover: Says Vino has a hard exterior but has a soft heart inside. Simon thinks this song is beautiful anyway and Vino may be #1 in tomorrow’s results. LA says he is the truth and LA is proud of him for standing up for the troops.

PAIGE THOMAS
Song: ‘Everytime’ by Britney Spears. Paige dedicated her song to Colleen who took Paige in when her own mother died at 14. She started out great – the Paige we first saw. She had some shaky moments throughout but finished strong in a soft way.
Judges’ comments: LA said he’d like to hear first from Britney because this was her song. Britney said, “You performed it beautifully.” Now, back to LA who said last week Paige ranked 10/10 in votes. “While I thought it was good, I don’t think this will get you out of the 10th spot.” Simon said there were moments that she sang it really well (I agree). Bu then the emotions took over and it was muffled at times (I agree). “Your problem is others have done well tonight and it could be a tough time for you tomorrow.” Demi said it breaks her heart because she’s so close to all the girls. She said she was pitchy and sounded better in rehearsal.

CARLY ROSE SONENCLAR
Song: Somewhere over the Rainbow. Carly dedicates her song to her older brother for always being there for her. This girl can sing anything and turn it into a concert, even this song.
Judges’ comments. The judges gave Carly Rose a standing ovation, deservedly so. LA said, “Wow girl. You are an absolute force of nature. I don’t know where it comes from and when you least expect it, you pull out the bog one. You pulled out two big ones.” Demi said she needs to see a school ID to see how old she really is. She said Carly Rose must be an alien but she likes aliens. Simon said “You are the best alien I have ever heard sing.” Simon said he’s heard this song many many times and that was one of the best versions of that song he’s ever heard. He said “When I said to Vino he will be number 1, I changed my mind. You just blew the competition wide open.” Britney, “I agree with everyone. You are amazing.”

  4. Carly rose wins it all a. Vino 2nd and nate 3rd. Awesome performances. Cece. Your fried. Your beautiful though. Peruse a modeling career sweetie cause singing is not your thing. Sorry just keeping it real.

  5. 1. Carly Rose 2. Vino. 3. Tate 4. Diamond 5. 5th harmony 6. Emblem3 7. Beatrice 8. Paige 9. Cece (her vocals were AWFUL) 10. Arin (like the guy but was totally bored).

  6. Tonight Diamond and Beatrice were amazing, had both my husband and I in tears with their performances! I only wish I could vote! Carley was very good too but she didn’t have the emotion the others did. Most of these people are so good they don’t even need to be on here, I think they will get gobbled up by record company’s with no problem!
