Kanye West & Justin Bieber: The Twitter Love Fest Grows

Kanye West has close to 690,000 followers on Twitter and until recently, Kanye followed no one back. Not a single person. But all that changed a couple of days ago when Kanye decided to start following his first Twitter friend.

Of all the people in the world, the last person I or probably you would have guessed that one person to be would be Justin Bieber. But, that is in fact the the only person Kanye now follows.

Earlier this summer, we had the start of the still-ongoing Twitter love fest between Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco, who are now also known as Batman and Robin to each other, respectively.
Now we have a new blossoming Twittership between Kanye West and Justin Bieber. See if you can follow their love Tweets to each other:

California Gay Marriages Stopped Once Again

   I saw this coming a mile away: Same-sex marriages in the state of California are once again up in the air and on indefinite hold after the three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals blocked the unions Monday while it considers the constitutionality of the state’s gay marriage ban.

This decision trumps U.S. District Judge Vaughn R. Walker’s Aug. 4 ruling that would have allowed county clerks to begin issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples on Wednesday.

The panel agreed to hold a hearing on the case during the week of Dec. 6 and ordered both sides to present arguments on whether the campaign for Proposition 8 has legal authority to appeal Walker’s order.

Justin Bieber Launches Twitter Attack

Don’t ever piss off Justin Bieber because he has a rabid army of 4.5 million strong Twitter fans, growing by the second. Apparently, that fact was lost on Kevin Kristopik who allegedly attempted to hack into a friend of Bieber’s account to steal Bieber’s phone number.

What did Bieber do to get even? He tweeted this to his Twitter army base: “Everyone call me 248-XXX-XXXX 🙂 or text,” before deleting it shortly after. But it took just the few minutes that the Tweet was live for Beiber’s army to go to battle and launch a fury of missiles in the form of calls and texts to the listed number which happened to be Kristopik’s cell number. Rooney Mara Cast as Lisbeth in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara have been cast in the lead roles of Columbia Pictures’ three-picture adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s literary blockbuster The Millennium Trilogy under the direction of David Fincher.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo – the first film of the series, which also includes The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest – begins shooting next month in Sweden and is set for release October 21, 2011.

Rooney Mara’s casting for the much sought-after role of Lisbeth Salander is quite a bit surprising given that such A-List actresses such as Ellen Page (Inception), Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) and Kristen Stewart (Twilight series) were also trying for the same role. I would venture that most people do not yet know who Rooney Mara is because her previous acting credits only include Youth in Revolt and 2010’s A Nightmare on Elm Street. But this project will re-team Mara with director David Fincher, with whom she worked on The Social Network set for release Oct. 1 about the rise of the popular social media network site Facebook. So, Mara is sure to be a household name soon.

Jake Gyllenhaal & Anne Hathaway Star In Love And Other Drugs – Trailer

Last week, I was invited to a screening of Love and Other Drugs, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway. But, before seeing the movie, I signed a contract agreeing that I would not tell anyone particulars about the movie or I would be sued for a crap load of money. Sorta defeats the purpose of having seen this movie in advance. 

But no law against my sharing the trailer with you. 
In this movie, Gyllenhaal and Hathaway reunite for a second go around at love after their failed attempt in Brokeback Mountain. Since you can readily tell from the trailer, I can say that Jake plays a womanizing Viagra salesman in it and Anne bares a lot of skin. I wish I could tell you more….
