Paula Abdul Confirms Her X Factor USA Exit

We now have confirmation that Paula Abdul will not return to The X Factor next season.

“Yes, it’s true; I won’t be returning to The X Factor next season," Abdul said in a statement. "I’ve learned through my longevity in this industry that business decisions often times override personal considerations.

“Simon [Cowell] and I, along with Fox and Fremantle, have been communicating about this for a while now, and I have absolute understanding of the situation.

“Simon is, and will remain a dear friend of mine and I’ve treasured my experience working this past season with my extended family at Fox and Fremantle. I want nothing more than for The X Factor to exceed ALL of their wildest dreams. This truly has been a blessing and I am most grateful,” Paula concluded.

Also not returning next season are fellow judge Nicole Scherzinger and host Steve Jones.

Heidi Klum has finally broken her silence since she and Seal announced their separation last week. She didn't say much, but she did Tweet her thank you to her fans after her shocking split from her husband of six years.

Klum and Seal separated "after much soul-searching." They said, "We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and we will continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart."

Adele Will Finally Return To The Stage After Throat Surgery

Sidelined since last October after throat surgery, Adele will make her triumphant return to the stage for the first time at the 2012 Grammy Awards.

"I'm immensely proud to have been asked to perform at this year's Grammy Awards," Adele confirmed in a statement. "It's an absolute honor to be included in such a night and for it to be my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-racking, but what a way to get back into it all."

It's a good thing too that she will be present at the awards show since she is nominated in just about every category including, Record and Song of the Year for Rolling in the Deep, Album of the Year for 21, and Best Pop Solo Performance for Someone Like You."

Major Shakeup At The X Factor: Which Three Familiar Faces Will Not Return Next Season?

And just like that, there was a major shake up at The X Factor late Monday night with host Steve Jones and judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger rumored to not be returning to season 2 of the hit NBC show.

The rumors first involved host Jones who himself took to his Twitter account to confirm the news.

"I won't be hosting next seasons X Factor which is a shame but I can't complain as I've had a great time," Jones wrote. "Good luck to everyone on the show."

But who will still be on the show? Per E! News, it won't be Scherzinger who has decided not to come back. "She wants to focus on her music career," a source told E!. "She's spoken to Simon [Cowell] and he's given her his blessing."

And before it was all over, there was even more bloodshed. E! also reported that Abdul won't be sitting next to her buddy Cowell next season. "She found out today," a show source told E!. "At this point, the only ones staying are Simon and L.A. Reid."

Another source confirmed to E! News that both Paula and Nicole were not renewed, "Simon wants to take the show in a different direction," says the insider.
