Zooey Deschanel: “Part Of Me Is Totally Dorky & Weird”

Fox has a breakout hit on its hands: It’s new show, New Girl, was the network’s biggest premiere episode for a sitcom in 10 years!

One of the show’s stars, Zooey Deschanel, sat down with TV Guide to dish about her new gig.

Here are some excerpts:
On what she likes to do on the set
“Sometimes I’ll just sing at lunch for people.”

On the show’s enormous success:
I’ve been around a long time and I know to not expect too much because you don’t want to get disappointed. We’re just so happy that people are watching it and sharing this moment with us.”

On her male costars:

“I’ve always had a lot of guy friends and I like male energy. We have a good, playful rapport, all of us.”

On her character, Jess:
“She’s really a 13-year-old version of myself. There’s still that part of myself that’s totally dorky and weird. There are a lot of people who work hard to be seen as different, but I always wanted to be normal and I never really felt like I was.”

Kris Jenner Explains Kim Kardashian’s Trip To See Kris Humphries

Kris Jenner was at The Grove in Los Angeles for a chat with Maria Menounos of Extra about her new book.
During the interview, the managerial matriarch was asked why daughter Kim Kardashian went to visit estranged husband Kris Humphries in Minnesota this week.

“She really needed to talk to him,” Jenner responded.

“Kim is a hopeless romantic,” Jenner further explained. “So she wants the fairy tale. She wanted to get married and have babies and raise a family and the white picket fence and all that comes with that. She’s a really good person with a huge heart.

“Whatever decisions Kim is making right now, she’s a very smart girl and she’s gonna do the right thing. All I can do is wrap my arms around her and make sure she’s okay.”

Jenner continued, “They [need to] show their emotions. She needs to do what she’s doing now and cry and figure it out.”
Jenner added, “She’s just trying to follow her heart, and she’s going to be okay.”

Adam Lambert Reflects On The Past, Talks About Future Direction Of His Music

Adam Lambert channels Elvis Presley in the latest issue of Out, posing as The King did once for Andy Warhol.

During the accompanying interview, Lambert repeatedly talks about the lessons he learned about portraying the right impression to “the masses.” Specifically calling out his Details spread and kissing his keyboard player during the American Music Awards, Lambert says: “The AMA thing was maybe a little too much, too soon, and the photo shoot for Details, although very beautiful, maybe it wasn’t the right timing,” he admits. As for the future, Lambert says, “Now that I have established who I am and I’ve gotten it out of my system, what’s really important – without denying or downplaying my pride as a gay man – is the music.”
About his sophomore album which will be released next year, Lambert tells his fans to expect personal songs and says he has a lot more control on how it will be recorded. “This is definitely the album that I want to make. I’m getting time with it, I’m able to say, ‘I want to re-record that vocal,’ or ‘Let’s bring this song to another producer or a different beat put on it’. So I’m getting to immerse myself in the process. I feel like I’m getting to take the necessary time.”

Fashion Police co-host Kelly Osbourne was rushed to the hospital Sunday after receiving an open head wound in Miami.

Kelly was in Florida working on a casting call for Madonna’s Material Girl fashion line and somehow ended up mysteriously injured. She tweeted: “Long story short I cracked my head open then kept passing out I have the all clear my mum came 2 get me.”

Then she sent this, “I just want 2 thank all the incredible doctors and nurses @ Mercy hospital in Miami 4 taking such good care of me u guys really are amazing!”

Scary stuff. At least she is OK enough to tweet!

PHOTO: Maksim Chmerkovskiy & Derek Hough Confirm: “We’re Definitely On A War Path!”

TWITPIC OF THE WEEK.

Rumor has it that there is a big feud brewing between Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Derek Hough. It all started when Maks had a few fighting words with the judges of Dancing with the Stars and Derek was quoted as saying the judges are fair. The plot thickened when Maks rebounded by saying that “When you say judges have been generous, with all due respect, if I had Nicole Scherzinger followed by Jennifer Grey followed by Ricki Lake, I probably would not be very upset with the judges either.”

The media took that quote and started all kinds of rumors that there is a “war” between the two professional dancers.

And the duo just confirmed! In mocking jest, of course. Maks tweeted the picture below with the caption, “Yup! We’re definitely on a war path with @DerekHough ! LMAO! Amazing read!”

YUP, now we know!
