Oh no, Ochocinco! The former NFL star and Dancing with the Stars contestant Chad Johnson will serve a 30-day jail sentence handed down by a Florida judge for a dumb move he pulled during proceedings taking place for a misdemeanor domestic battery case against him.

The judge was about to approve a plea deal where Johnson would not see any jail time for the misdemeanor but instead would perform community service and undergo counseling. But when the judge witnessed Ocho slapping his attorney on the butt, the judge slammed the breaks on the plea agreement.

It turns out that before the offensive act took place, the judge asked whether Johnson was satisfied with the performance of his attorney, Adam Swickle. Instead of a simple yes, Ocho playfully tapped his attorney’s behind as players oft do on the football field –but that act did not sit well with the presiding judge in the courtroom.

Amidst laughter from the court attendees, the judge said, “I don’t know that you’re taking this whole thing seriously. I just saw you slap your attorney on the backside. Is there something funny about this?”

Ocho tried to apologize. “This is your courtroom. I have no intent to make this a joke. It’s not funny.” Johnson added, “My life is in shambles right now and I try my best to laugh and keep a smile on my face.”

But the Judge took Chad’s smile away by slapping him with jail time. “It’s not the first time he’s behaved that way in my courtroom,” she said.

Johnson was then placed in handcuffs and taken away to jail. He later took to Twitter to explain himself. Sort of. “Love me through the good and the bad because I’m gone love you regardless… See you in 30…”
