The Bachelorette Ashley Hebert is down to two men after tonight’s episode (Monday July 25, 2011). But before the night is over, one bachelor leaves on his own and another returns asking for a second chance at love with Ashley.
Ashley and her final three bachelors, Ben F., Constantine and J.P., traveled to the tropical island of Fiji for three overnight dates.
DATE WITH BEN F.
Ashley’s first date was with Ben upon a luxurious yacht. The two sailed to a remote island and spent the afternoon snorkeling in Pirates’ Den. They were very flirtatious and Ashley told the camera that she feels like they are on their honeymoon. She feels like she has known him forever and he said that she makes him feel like a teenager.
They then enjoyed a romantic candlelit dinner as Ben finally revealed his feelings for her. He said he is available for a relationship today whereas he was not at the beginning. He sorta said ‘I love you’ to her. It was more like, “My feelings are growing and I am on my way, you know, to the whole ‘I love you thing.” So, of course, BAM, Ashley dropped the Fantasy Suite card on Ben and he said after today, “continuing on would be wonderful.” And with that, the two of them jetted off to the hotel room.
They went for a private swim in a pool and made out. And then he carried her away out of the pool inside the room against Ashley’s voice over that she is really falling in love with him.
DATE WITH CONSTANTINE – CONSTANTINE LEAVES

Constantine and Ashley went for a breathtaking helicopter tour over the gorgeous Fiji Islands. They spent the day diving into vast waterfalls and later got together for a romantic dinner which turned tragic for Ashley. What is the big shocker? Constantine eliminated himself from the show and from Ashley’s life. Why would he leave at this point?
Ashley kept asking Constantine why he has been slow to warm up to her and she also asked him if it was weird for him to be dating the same girl as his twin friend Ben. Constantine said no, because he wouldn’t be able to stop them from falling in love if that were to happen.
He said things like holding hands, hugging and kissing in relationships come easy to him–he does it without thinking but with Ash, it has not come easy. He finally said he doesn’t yet have that madly head over heels in love feelings for her. He said he knows what the Fantasy Suite is and what it implies and he had told himself that if he had gotten to this point and if he weren’t in love with Ash, he would not accept the offer. He said he wants to show her a level of respect by making this less hard than it needs to be and that this was the end of the road for him.
I’d heard that after Ashley visited his family who are Greek Orthodox, his family convinced him that it would be hard to be with someone who is not religious like Ashley. At least Constantine did the right thing and walked away before the final rose, or before the two spent the night together.
ONE BACHELOR COMES BACK ASKING FOR SECOND CHANCE
Ryan Park who Ashley eliminated during a one-on-one date before the hometown dates flew all the way to Fiji to surprise Ashley because he felt there were things unsaid between the two of them. He felt that they had something and wondered if she were regretting sending him home.
Ashley was shocked to see him and he told her that he did not see his dumping coming. When he got back home, he felt that he had to fight for a second chance. So, he called Chris Harrison and he told Ryan that she is in Fiji so, that’s why he was there. Ryan asked her to let him know if she wants more time with him. Ashley sat quietly for a long time and just heard him out. He told her he will be in Fiji for two days and she can take her time to respond to him. With that, he left her to her thoughts.
Ryan waited for a few, excruciatingly painful days for Ashley’s answer but she finally met with him the morning after Constantine left her. So, the fact that he came back, made Ryan look real good in her eyes. She went to his cottage and told him he is the type of guy she was looking for on paper and saying goodbye to him was really hard on her and she was distraught after. His coming back to Fiji reassured her that he is the type of guy she thinks he is but, she knew it was the right decision to let him go because she doesn’t feel that passion and she has found that with, “actually, two people.” He asked her if she is happy and she said she is.
Oh well, nice try and you can’t blame a guy for trying. Ryan’s coming back should help Ashley feel less abandoned after Constantine left the show. And, who knows, maybe this will help his chances of becoming the next Bachelor. We last saw Ryan trying to convince himself that he will find love eventually by keep telling himself, “It will happen, it will happen, it will happen.”
DATE WITH JP
Ashley surprised J.P. with a sea-to-air adventure and they flew over the panoramic seascape, landing on a private island filled with white sand. Ashley calls JP her rock, so, it was no surprise that she wanted to tell him of all her surprises of the week (Constantine leaving, Ryan coming back.) It’s like the two of them are best friends on a journey together and she feels comfortable telling him of all of her experiences along the way. Or staying silent while the two of them enjoy the magical scenery together.
Ash said she’s been counting down the days until JP got to Fiji. He said his family loved her and he feels really good about the two of them and he is ready for the end.
JP told the camera that today was a great day and even though he knows she’s still dating other guys, he’s gonna forget about that and just live in the moment. They both tell the camera that they can see themselves living the rest of their lives together.
They had dinner in middle of a jungle and she told him, “I said goodbye to two guys this week.” She said about Constantine, “we” decided there was nothing between us so “we” ended it. LOL. No Ash, he left you. But OK, tell it like you saw it. She also said she sent Ryan back home and JP was just glad it wasn’t Bentley that had come back again.
Even knowing he is one of only two guys remaining, JP still did not want to take a leap of faith and tell Ash how he feels about her. To the camera, he said he wants Ash to be his wife but that is contingent on how she feels about him and he is scared to share his feelings even though he knows he is in love with her. But he wasn’t scared enough to jump on the Fantasy Suite option! The two walked to the room, hand in hand. Ash said their villa in middle of the jungle was like their home. She changed into comfortable clothing which was just a guy’s shirt. We left the pair making out on the bed.
ROSE CEREMONY
There is no need to ask who received a rose from Ashley since Constantine eliminated himself, leaving two men for the finale. The two men who received a rose and who will be in the final two are Ben and J.P.
Before the rose ceremony, Ash told Chris Harrison that it was harder for her to say goodbye to Ryan than to Constantine.
