David Letterman: “We Were Duped!”

VIDEO CLIP OF THE DAY.

OH OH! Did David Letterman get duped? It seems that way….

On Tuesday, CBS’s The Late Show with David Letterman announced that Lindsay Lohan would be a guest on the show Thursday to read the “Top Ten List” via satellite. Of course this news spread like wildfire until Lohan herself denied the upcoming appearance via Twitter.

Lohan wrote: “I am NOT going to be doing David Letterman. I’m not sure how this happened, but I am sorry for the confusion….”

On Wednesday night’s Late Show, Letterman gave his side of the story with a big old apology. He said that after he joked about Lindsay stealing a Grammy on one of last week’s shows, in reference to her court case over a stolen necklace, he received a call from a “guy” who told him, “Lindsay thought the joke was hilarious.” And the same mysterious “guy” (who we all have been told is Lindsey’s father, Michael) said to Letterman that Lindsay wanted to be on his show.

And it was based on that telephone exchange that Letterman asked the show’s publicity department to release the news via an official statement, which they did. Letterman adds, “But then Lindsay Lohan says, ‘Oh, I don’t know, none of that is happening, I don’t know what’s going on. It’s not true.'”

“So it turns out we were duped.” letterman admits. “And I have no one to blame but myself, and boy, is my face red!”

Legendary actor and star of “$#*! My Dad Says,” William Shatner stopped by The Grove to talk with Mario Lopez. Shatner said he calls his show, “Poop My Dad Says.” “It’s the poop Dad says, so what’s wrong with that? It’s cool.”

Shatner revealed he has been riding horses for a lifetime and competes in reining (a western riding competition for horses where the riders guide the horses through a precise pattern of circles, spins, and stops). He plans to use those skills for charity in a competition on April 30 sponsored by Wells Fargo. “All the proceeds go to help children’s charities.”

Christina Applegate Introduces Her Baby Girl Sadie

Meet Sadie, Christina Applegate‘s beautiful baby girl whom she had with musician fiancé Martyn LeNoble.

Christina gave birth to Sadie on January 27th and is introducing her baby to us for the first time in the latest issue of People mag.

Christina tells People: “I felt my heart literally open up for the first time and like wrap itself around her. It was profound. And I’m more in love with her every minute of the day.” That’s the sweetest thing I have ever read, pun intended.

Christina was diagnosed in 2008 with breast cancer and had a double mastectomy. Sadie has helped Christina change her focus from having had to deal with cancer to being a mom. She told the mag: “I’ve had to talk about that word [cancer] more than I’ve ever had to talk about a word in my life. After a while you’re like, ‘There’s got to be something else to me.'”

Justin Bieber Talks Sex, Abortion, And Politics

Justin Bieber, the 16-year-old music sensation from Canada, is on the March cover of Rolling Stone magazine where he talks about sex, politics and abortion. Whether or not you agree with his views, you have to admit, at least he has opinions and seems pretty mature despite his few years on this planet.

Here are some highlights from the interview:

On never becoming an American Citizen:
“You guys are evil,” he jokes. “Canada’s the best country in the world. We go to the doctor and we don’t need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you’re broke because of medical bills. My bodyguard’s baby was premature, and now he has to pay for it. In Canada, if your baby’s premature, he stays in the hospital as long as he needs to, and then you go home.”

On politics and abortion:
He does not know which political party he would align with if he were old enough to vote, saying: “I’m not sure about the parties. But whatever they have in Korea, that’s bad. I really don’t believe in abortion. It’s like killing a baby?”

On Having Sex:
“I don’t think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them. I think you should just wait for the person you’re…in love with.”

CBS Reporter Lara Logan Sexually Assaulted In Egypt

CBS television correspondent Lara Logan was beaten and sexually assaulted by a mob while covering the jubilation in Cairo’s Tahrir Square on the day Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak stepped down, the U.S. broadcaster said Tuesday.

Per a statement released by CBS, the news reporter, “her team and their security were surrounded by a dangerous element amidst the celebration. It was a mob of more than 200 people whipped into frenzy.” The statement continues, “She sustained a sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers.”

Logan has since flown to the U.S. and is currently recovering in the hospital.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Girlfriend Is Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Cover Girl

Cristiano Ronaldo‘s 25-year-old Russian girlfriend, Irina Shayk, is this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition cover girl. Irina found out she was the cover girl during a taping of Late Show With David Letterman.

“There were 10 models there to do the Top 10 List, and nobody knows until the last minute who the cover will be,” Shayk said. “And then I saw it, and I couldn’t believe it.”

Irina is not new to the mag. After winning the “Supermodel 2004” Chelyabinsk beauty pageant, Irina pursued a career in modeling. In 2007, Shayk debuted in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and has appeared in each annual edition since.

You may have also seen her in A|X Armani Exchange summer 2010 swimwear campaign and in Kanye West’s Power video.

Sofia Vergara: “My Eyes Are My Most Appealing Body Parts”

OH DEAR GOD! Sofia Vergara may start a fire on this site with this picture. Smokin’!

The picture is her Shape magazine cover and I don’t think she’s ever looked sexier. In fact, Shape calls her the “sexiest woman in Hollywood.”

In the mag, Sofia talks about maintaining her curves, her most appealing body part and being called the sexiest woman in Hollywood.

Here are some excerpts from the interview:

On being scrawny growing up:
“I was ridiculously skinny. They called me palillo, which means toothpick in Spanish … but suddenly I had these big boobs. It was terrible! I used to tell my mother: ‘I’m going to cut these off as soon as I turn 18.'”

On her most appealing body part:
“I’m sure men would tell you it’s my boobs, but I like my eyes. They have a natural cat’s-eye shape, so I try to play that up.”

On working out:
“Oh, I hate it! But I also know that at my age—I’m almost 40!—I have to do it to maintain my figure. When I can, I do Latin dancing for exercise because it’s so much fun and I just love the music.”

On being the sexiest woman in Hollywood:
“To be called the sexiest woman in Hollywood, at my age? It’s fantastic. Latin women are very comfortable with their bodies and their sexuality. We aren’t afraid to show that off a little bit more.”

Victoria Beckham Lives In A Really Happy House

Victoria Beckham graces the cover of Allure‘s 20th anniversary issue and talks about life with hubbie David Beckham, the kids, being comfortable in her own skin, and oh, Oprah wearing her line.

Here are some excerpts from the interview:

On her happy home life:
“Our house is a really happy house. There are kids running around and laughing and joking, I smile so much more than people would think. There’s nothing better than being in LA with my kids, cooking dinner with my husband and having a romantic night in, and I get an email, and Demi Moore, Madonna, Drew Barrymore, Blake Lively, or whoever it is, is doing the red carpet and wearing my dress.”

On being comfortable in her own skin:
“For the first time, I feel like what you see is what you get. This is me: the more natural hair, the slightly more relaxed way of dressing. I feel really content personally and professionally. I’m not freaked out about getting older. I’m growing older with the most amazing man I’ve ever met – with my soul mate. Life’s great.”

On Oprah wearing a dress from her fashion line:
“I was so proud, I rang my mum.”
