Grammy-nominated Adam Lambert was at The Grove in Los Angeles, CA Wednesday for an interview with Extra TV where he spoke about The Grammys, his next album and of course, American Idol and Simon Cowell.

Lambert, who is nominated for a Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, spoke highly of the musicians nominated alongside him. “Bruno Mars, who I love, he’s fantastic. The legend, Michael Jackson. Amazing. I can’t believe I am nominated in the same category. That doesn’t…that doesn’t feel right! He’s such an influence and a legend and an icon for me. Also John Mayer and Michael Buble.”

As any die-hard Glambert fan knows, Adam will release Glam Nation Live (19 Recordings / RCA Records), a CD/DVD, on March 22nd. Shot in Indianapolis, Indiana at Clowes Hall on August 31st, 2010 and directed by Doug Spangenberg, the CD/DVD will feature 12 tracks plus a bonus cut and includes some of Lambert’s most beloved performances such as Ring of Fire, If I Had You and the Grammy- nominated Whataya Want From Me. About this CD/DVD, Adam said, “We filmed it in Indianapolis, Indiana, which seems a little random but that’s where I was born. And it is just a live presentation of what the show is all about.”
When asked about the new judges on American Idol, Adam gave them glowing reviews: “Steven Tyler, he’s a rock legend. He’s amazing. Amazing voice. Amazing sense of style. Sense of humor. And then, JLo. I remember when Waiting for Tonight came out. I was in high school and just jamming out to that song New Year’s Eve. She’s so glamorous and she’s been working in the business for a really long time.”
As for his buddy, Simon Cowell’s new show, The X Factor, Adam said, “I am excited for The X Factor. That should be very cool.” He also said that people probably miss having Simon on TV, and joked, “but I need a break!” To make sure we all knew he was joking, he continued, “I love Simon. He busts my balls, I bust his.”
Most importantly, Adam took time to promote charity:water, a non-profit organization for which Adam and his fans have already raised $285,210 as of the time of writing this article.  Charity:water’s mission is to bring clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.

Adam told Extra so much more, so, you will have to tune in to watch the entire interview and hear his words for yourself.

As a side note: I had a whole speech prepared to tell this rock star Idol of mine, and when I ran straight into him, all I could muster is, “Good God, You’re Adam Lambert!” And that, he is and so much more.

Thanks everyone for all the Re-Tweets!

  1. OMG that boy is hawt. Do not blame you one bit for choking on your prepared ~speech LOL. Wat is that awesome alien commander vest? Love that guy!

  2. My GOD He looks absolutely flamin’ GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!

No wonder you couldn’t think. I’m impressed you got any words out at all!!! hahahahaha

  3. Adam is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY past American Idol. How about Grammy nominated Adam Lambert, or singer Adam Lambert, or musician Adam Lambert, or international pop star Adam Lambert, or even just Adam Lambert. AI was almost two years ago!!!!!!!!!

  4. LOL This is what you get when you have The Glam God on Board!!! OVERWHELMING NUMBER OF HITS!!! Adam is simply amazing, isn’t he? In every way…….

  5. If you really love him, maybe try to help him move past the American Idol stigma. Step 1: drop the “American Idol Adam Lambert”, that title is really bothering a lot of fans considering all he has accomplished.

  6. I just came back from Grove. Adam looked stunning in person. Lots of fans were there. I feel on cloud 9 right now. Weather was perfect and seeing Adam was just out of this world. They asked him bunch of questions about his charity water, American Idol, Grammy, his date for the grammy, Masaratti, his next album, GNT, GNT DVD, etc. Few fans got hugs from him and autograph. Checked out his skin and it was flawless and gorgeous. Truly cameras don’t do him justice. Even though he looks gorgeous in these pictures. Saw bunch of paps there. Demographic of fans were from all walks of life. Young, old, male, female, black, white, Asian, kids, etc. He’ll be as big as the best of them!

  7. The book on THE TALK was MANLINESS. Adam’s picture should be on the cover. The man is hot, confident, assertive, funny, articulate, strong physically and in his character. I don’t know what to say about not being manly enough to predict the weather…… I guess no one’s perfect.

  8. Thank you for the wonderful pictures of Adam, I don’t think I would keep it together if I saw him up close and personal.

  9. These photos are AWESOME!! And thanks again for “Grammy nominated Adam Lambert”. Adam has worked so hard to move his career forward.

    Elizabeth from Canada

  10. Adam and Elvis share a resemblance for sure, but in a lot of shots, with his hair like this , Adam reminds me of JFK Jr., another one of the most gorgeous men who ever lived.

  11. Adam has magnetic personality and down to earth sweetnes and lods of hotness, Good God he is Adam Lambert alright!!!!!!! The one and only Adam Lambert. So good to see him in the spotlight again, was going through some major Adam withdrawal, thanks for the pics, finaly, a much needed Adam fix…………indigo.

  12. Butterflies in my stomach all the way up to my throat, upon seeing Adam’s gorgeousness. Knowing how kind, strong, smart, and talented he is makes him even more sexy than any of the personalities out there who exude beauty only one dimensionally. Never felt so faint or melted with any male celebrity/public personality. Maybe because no one ever had the whole package of beauty, brains, charisma, and artistry before. I’m in awe of how close to the ideal male Adam is.

  13. Thank you sooo much for the awesome pics of this beautiful man…Adam Lambert. Looking forward to seeing more of him on your site. 🙂

  14. Great interview. I’m concerned that he won’t be on Idol this year based on what he said (“I don’t really have any material”). Heck, he could sing the Birthday Song for all we care. But why not sing Aftermath on IDOL to promote the Trevor Project. Things are looking good.
