The production of the upcoming Fast & Furious 7 has come to a halt due to Paul Walker‘s tragic death.
“Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul’s immediate family and our extended Fast & Furious family of cast, crew and filmmakers. At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise,” Universal released in a statement. Christian Slater got married this week to his girlfriend of three years, Brittany Lopez. Slater’s rep says the 44-year-old actor and Lopez walked down the aisle so to speak at the local courthouse in Coral Gables, Fla.

The L.A. County Coroner’s Office has revealed its autopsy results on Paul Walker and friend Roger Rodas and, based on dental records, officially identified the two as having been the ones killed in a fiery car crash on Saturday.
The Coroner’s office also confirmed the speculation that Walker was a passenger in the Porsche Carrera GT and Rodas was the driver.
Per the report, Walker died from “combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries.” The report also states that Rodas was killed by “multiple traumatic injuries.” The deaths were ruled accidental. Toxicology reports are pending and may take several weeks to complete. Continue reading
