Hilary Duff announced some great news for her fans: She is releasing a new single, possibly as soon as this coming spring!

The 26-year-old actress and singer made the announcement to host Dina Pugliese of Citytv Toronto’s Breakfast Television on Wednesday in Toronto, Canada.

“I think by Spring I should have a single!” Hilary said, adding, that “the first six songs I’ve done have all been really dancey and upbeat, uplifting, happy stuff. So now I’m getting into the moody.”

About the upcoming album, Hilary explained, “It’s important to have that fine balance and show all your sides. It’s got a bit of an indie, dance feel.”
