Mila Kunis followed in the footsteps of Justin Timberlake and attended the Marine Corp Ball in Greenville, N.C. Friday night as the date of Sgt. Scott Moore.
“She’s going to get a chance to learn about the Marine Corps, and we’re all going to have a great time celebrating the Marine Corps birthday,” Capt. Scott Sasser told Access Hollywood.
When Mila accepted Moore’s proposal, he said, “My initial reaction was disbelief. It’s going to be a great experience to meet her, and it’s going to make the ball more special for everyone.”
Who do you think will win the mirrorball trophy on Dancing with the Stars? Will it be fan favorite J.R. Martinez? Or will three-time champ Derek Hough and talk show hostess Ricki Lakepull it off? Don’t count out the dark horse Rob Kardashian either who has hit his prime right when it counts!
Here are some odds: Bodog, an online gambling site, has J.R. Martinez winning it despite his ankle injury. The odds? They give J.R. a 1 to 2 chance to win it all. Ricki Lake holds 3 to 1 odds, and Rob has a 4 to 1 chance of winning.
But, fan votes count for 50% of the final vote. So, if the judges’ votes are close, any one can win this thing! Who is your favorite? Who do you think will win it all?
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 may not have beat Harry Potter at the Box Office, but it did set a franchise record $30.25 million in midnight ticket sales and earned an estimated $72 million on Friday.
This latter figure makes it the third biggest single-day gross ever, falling short only of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 ($91 million) and The Twilight Saga: New Moon ($72.7 million).
It is expected that Breaking Dawn Part 1 will gross over $140 million over the weekend which would be the fifth biggest opening weekend for a movie.
UPDATE: Breaking Dawn Part 1 made $139.5 million over the weekend in the US and $283.5 million worldwide.
Unlike other celebrities who shirk their responsibility as role models, Taylor Swift embraces hers.
Based on excerpt’s from tomorrow night’s 60 Minutes, the singer says she understands that some people may look up to her and she takes it seriously.
“I definitely think about a million people when I’m getting dressed in the morning, and that’s just part of my life now,” Swift tells the news show. “I think it’s my responsibility to know it and to be conscious of it.”
Swift also says she won’t take the easy road and act badly only to blame it all on her young age. She says, “It would be really easy to say ‘I’m 21 now, I do what I want. You raise your kids!'” Swift continues,”But it’s not the truth of it. The truth of it is that every singer out there with songs on the radio is raising the next generation.”

On Thursday night’s The X Factor, Astro was in the bottom two along with Stacy Francis and this obviously-disappointing result got the worst of the 15-year old rapper.
At first, Astro seemed resigned to the possibility of going home, telling the audience, “Don’t be sad. Hip hop made it this far.” But a few minutes later, when Astro came to stage to sing for survival, he stopped the music and said he would rather not perform, calling it “unnecessary.”
His mentor, L.A. Reid and the audience urged him to sing and he eventually gave a rendition of Never Can Say Goodbye which L.A. called “lackluster.”
When the judges were to vote on who should stay or go between Astro and Francis, judge Simon Cowell asked Astro why he threw a temper tantrum and Astro explained, “If you want to put me in the bottom two, I don’t want to perform for people who don’t want me here.” Despite this bad attitude, somehow, Astro’s talent saved him from extinction and Stacy was sent home instead.
L.A. showed support for his student, telling the audience, “He’s dealing with being in the bottom 2 in his own way. There’s a pain, we don’t know the pain that he may be going through.” Reid continued, “When you enter a competition, you have to be prepared for the results. And if the results don’t land in your favor, good sportsman-like conduct is still required. I was disappointed in the attitude.”
Stacy Francis said after the show about her ouster, “The thing to be disappointed about is when you see someone like Astro have such an obnoxious attitude about it is that he gets to stay.”
“Astro’s 14 [he’s actually 15] and you can call him a teenager and give him an excuse, but bad behavior is bad behavior. He was ungracious in that moment, and in the real scheme of things, no matter what you have to be grateful,” Francis continued.
Astro later thanked his fans via Twitter and tried to explain his antics. “Politics!! don’t be fooled by what you don’t know!” Astro Tweeted. “Thank you AstroNauts for holding me down! Its funny how people are quick to judge not knowing whats going on behind the scenes. Maybe I should have given my Disney smile instead!”
Astro added, “I feel yall on that but I wasn’t talking about viewers when I said I don’t wanna perform. If you only knew what I know you’d say otherwise.”
Feeling a bit more calm this morning, Astro took to Twitter again. “I had a ‘fight the system’ moment last night. Sorry if i disappointed you guys. I WILL make you all proud next week!”
Last Sunday, three-time GRAMMY Award-winning band Maroon 5 performed for nearly 4,000 people as they celebrated the U.S. arrival of Carnival Cruise Lines’ newest ship, the 3,690-passenger Carnival Magic. Carnival Magic will homeport year-round in Galveston, TX.
The chart-topping group, nominated for the 2011 American Music Awards’ “Favorite Pop/Rock Band,” performed an hour-long concert set to the backdrop of the stunning new vessel at Pier 21.
“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton.”
Moore continued, “As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation.”
Kutcher took to Twitter to respond: “I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail.”
