Ladies won big Sunday night at the 2011 American Music Awards.
Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Adele, Beyoncé, Katy Perry and Jennifer Lopez all went home with at least one award, with Swift winning artist of the year!
The show opened with Nicki Minaj performing SuperBass. Katy Perry performed her new hit single, The One That Got Away and she also received an achievement award for being the first female artist to have five No. 1 singles from a single album (Teenage Dream).
Jennifer Lopez performed twice and won an award for favorite Latin Music Artist. “It’s been up and down and just exciting and overwhelming and so many things,” said Lopez.
Other performers of the night included Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Daughtry, Kelly Clarkson, Maroon 5 with Christina Aguilera, Pitbull and Marc Anthony, The Band Perry and many more.Here is a complete list of winners at the 2011 AMAs:
