John Mayer Says He Was Humiliated By Taylor Swift’s “Dear John” Song

Taylor Swift and John Mayer dated eons ago and broke up. Taylor then wrote a “Dear John” song for her “Speak Now” album about a relationship gone sour, without ever confirming that the song was about Mayer. Two years later, Mayer has spoken up and is not a happy camper about that song. To say the least.

In case you don’t know the lyrics, they go something like this….”Dear John, I see it all, now it was wrong / Don’t you think 19 is too young to be played by your dark twisted games, when I loved you so?”
In a new Rolling Stone interview, Mayer calls the Swift tune “cheap songwriting” and say it made him feel terrible. And he wants us to know that he did not deserve any of it. The song came out a little after Mayer went on a two-year hiatus following his controversial interviews with Rolling Stone and Playboy.

“I was really caught off-guard, and it really humiliated me at a time when I’d already been dressed down. I mean, how would you feel if, at the lowest you’ve ever been, someone kicked you even lower?” John concludes the interview with admitting that Swift is the biggest thing in music now. But says, “I think it’s abusing your talent to rub your hands together and go, ‘Wait till he gets a load of this!’ That’s bullshit.”

Leighton Meester: “I Love, Love”

Leighton Meester sports a Dolce&Gabbana on the cover of the July 2012 issue of Lucky.

The 26-year-old “That’s My Boy” and “Gossip Girl” star had this to tell the mag:

On falling in love:

“I love love. It’s the most intriguing universally understood emotion, and it comes in so many forms: family love, love of friends. I fall in love with everybody all the time.”
On how Gossip Girl’s Blair has changed her real-life style:
“My friend says that before the show I dressed like a homeless person. I used to buy everything at garage sales. It was hard to give up! I’d be like, ‘But this crazy sweater is amazing, and it only cost 25 cents!’ I’ve learned from Blair, though. Now I like to pepper in something designer with my usual stuff.”On her makeup routine:

“I’ve stopped wearing makeup when I’m not working. For a while I thought I had dark circles and bad skin, and then I realized I was seeing myself that way because I didn’t recognize myself anymore without makeup. Now when I wear it, I think I look really weird!”
On knowing she’ll find success in Hollywood:
“I don’t know. Yes? But you can’t count on success in this business. And anyway, being famous or rich or making a certain kind of movie – none of that means ‘success’ to me. Success to me is being happy and fulfilled, truly fulfilled, and being proud of myself and doing different things all the time. So thus far, yes, I’ve been successful.”

Sheryl Crow Diagnosed With Benign Brain Tumor

Breast cancer survivor Sheryl Crow has another health fight on her hands. But thankfully, this one is much less dangerous. Crow has revealed she has a benign brain tumor. “I worried about my memory so much that I went and got an MRI.” Crow added, “And I found out I have a brain tumor. And I was like, ‘See? I knew there was something wrong.’”

A month ago, the 50-year old singer forgot the lyrics to her hit song “Soak Up the Sun” while performing on stage in Florida. She told her fans then, “I’m 50. What can I say? My brain’s gone to sh*t.”  Continue reading

Kristen Stewart seems to be on the cover of every major mag lately and the July 2012 issue of Vanity Fair is no exception!

In almost every one of those issues which I have read, the 22-year-old Snow White and the Huntsman actress has opened up, frankly telling us that she just doesn’t give a sh*t about what people think about her. And just when I finally think I believe her, she turns around and reveals in this interview that she has been bothered by what some people have thought of her. It’s just a specific certain group of people who’s opinion is of no importance to Kristen. Continue reading
