Giuliana Rancic made a horrible announcement Monday on Today: “I have early stage breast cancer.”

The 37-year-old E! personality told Today host Ann Curry that her doctor discovered the illness back in August as she was about to begin IVF.

Before going through IVF, her doctor insisted that Rancic get a mammogram, an insistence which ended up saving her life.

Her husband, Bill Rancic, has been extremely supportive during this ordeal. “Bill is unbelievable. He lets me cry when I want to cry.”

“He just lets me feel what I want to feel.”

And what about her pregnancy plans?  Giuliana says, “I’m not gonna give up. That baby will have saved my life.” She continued, “There’s some master plan. Now I know that [God] was looking out for me. I think a lot of us think we’re invincible. We have to start putting ourselves on the to do list.”

Celebrities and fans have shown their support for Giuliana and husband Bill took to Twitter to thank everyone:

E! released a statement of “love and support” for Giuliana:

“Giuliana has chosen to talk about her breast cancer on E! News prior to her lumpectomy later this week. We are very grateful that thanks to early detection Giuliana is expected to have a swift and complete recovery.”

Police Take Selena Gomez Death Threats Seriously

LAPD is taking recent death threats made against Selena Gomez seriously, according to TMZ.

19-year-old Selena has obtained a restraining order against 46-year-old Thomas Brodnicki who allegedly told his psychiatrist that he was going to kill the teen star.

Brodnicki was reportedly picked up for mental evaluation last month after threatening to “scratch people’s eyes out on the street.” He also reportedly told his psychiatrist that he traveled from Chicago to L.A., visiting the actress’ workplace three times, and telling people he had conversations with God about killing the star.

Court papers state that Gomez is in “extreme fear,” even though the LAPD is taking the threats very seriously.

VIDEO: Shia LaBeouf Gets Beat Up In Vancouver

Shia LaBeouf was beat up by a shirtless, hairy man on a Vancouver sidewalk last week and TMZ has the video footage which you can watch below.

No one knows what started the fight but TMZ reports that Shia first got into it with the man inside a bar called Cinema Public House. Supposedly, the both got kicked out of the bar and the fight seems to have continued until stopped by a man on crutches.

When Shia tried to run after his attacker, someone stopped him, telling him, “You gotta lay low right now!”

A rep for Cinema Public House told TMZ that Shia has been a regular at the bar since he’s been in town to shoot The Company You Keep.

VIDEO: Harry Belafonte Falls Asleep On Live TV

Harry Belafonte fell asleep on live TV Friday morning and the video is making its rounds online.

The 84-year old songwriter and actor, was waiting via satellite to promote his new memoir, My Song, in an early-morning interview with KBAK in Bakersfield, Calif. But while he was waiting, he fell fast asleep.

“Hey, good morning Harry!” says anchor Layla Santiago. “Wake up, wake up! This is your wake-up call! OK, I’ll tell you what, he’s meditating. He’s taking a little nap.”

The news crew then went on to referencing his classic hit, Day-O, and making jokes such as “Guess daylight hasn’t come, man.”

A Belafonte spokesman did not like what he saw and released the following statement after the incident: “After weeks of literally hundreds of interviews promoting his HBO documentary, memoir and CD, Mr. Belafonte had an early morning satellite TV tour this past Friday. True to form, there was a technical glitch in the feed to a local station in Bakersfield, CA. His earpiece wasn’t working, so he decided to take the time to mediate before the rest of his Day-O. Mr. Belafonte is 84 years young, but sharper and more awake than most who have been interviewing him. Maybe the world would be a better place if more people took a moment to meditate.”
