QUOTE OF THE DAY: Carson Kressley: “Oh My God I Died!”

CELEBRITY QUOTE OF THE DAY.

Carson Kressley sadly got the boot off of Dancing with the Stars last night, but, as expected, he left in entertaining style. This is what he said right after the show:

“At the end when they played the montage, it was like, oh my god I died! I even started to well up a bit. Am I going to fade out and is there going to be a date [of death]?

“…we were dancing our final dance … you’re never gonna dance again…and I am going to dance again, da**it!”

VIDEOS: Dancing With The Stars 10/3 Recap: Who Brought Us All To Tears, Who Found Love Again & Who Found Life’s Redemption?

Season thirteen of Dancing With The Stars third week performance show aired October 3, 2011. Ten couples remained to dance the night away and had to tell a personal story through dance to commemorate the most memorable year in the stars’ lives. Here is a full recap of how things shook down:

HOPE SOLO AND MAKSIM CHMERKOVSKIY
Dance: Cha Cha Cha
Song: “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You) by Enrique Iglesias
Telephone No.: 1-800-VOTE4-08

Hope chose 2011 as her memorable year because her team (USA) made it to the finals of the World Cup. As tough as that loss was for her, she realized for the first time in her life that it is not about winning, it is about the journey. The song is her team’s song and gives her the energy she needs before games and she will use it for her dance.

Carrie Ann Inaba: “You’re a very strong dancer and that was very sexy and very hot. But….I see so much potential in you…I want to take you and work on your walk. You don’t need quite so much strength when you walk. I loved your routine and you executed it excellently. Just work on your walk, fluidity and femininity.”
Len Goodman: “I found the costume and part of the routine a little provocative for me. However the actual Cha Cha Cha was very good. For me, that was your best dance so far.”
Bruno Tonioli: “Hope, the sexy minx is out of the cage. You were going for him like a panther. The man eater is there and it is good to see you embracing your gorgeousness. But they’re right about your walk.”

Scores: 8+8+8=24 out of 30. That is a 5-point improvement in score over last week.

KRISTIN CAVALLARI AND MARK BALLAS

Dance: Samba

Song: “Crazy in Love” by Beyonce
Telephone No.: 1-800-VOTE4-03

Kristin choose this song because it was written in the year she moved to LA in 2005. It was her most memorable year because she also graduated high school then as well and had to decide whether to continue her education or enter the entertainment world. Her ex-fiance, Chicago Bears Quarterback Jay Cutler, was in the audience watching her dance!

Len: “The Beyonce stuff is not my cup of tea, the side by side, the hair…Talk to the hand (as crowd boos). That was only 20% of the dance. The other 80% was fabulous.”
Bruno: “That was more than crazy love, that was crazy lust! You fast moving devil woman. Who can say no after that? It’s ‘Yes yes yes’ for me all the time and all the way. Keep going that way, you’re going right.”

Carrie Ann: “Beyonce has some pretty big shoes to fill there my dear but you did darn good. Keep it up.”
Scores: 8+8+8=24 out of 30. Kristin improved her score from last week by two points.

DAVID ARQUETTE AND KYM JOHNSON

Dance: Rumba

Song: “Ooh Child” By Nina Simone
Telephone No.: 1-800-VOTE4-06

David chose last year as his most memorable year because that’s when his marriage fell apart and he escaped into alcohol to mask his pain. It made him take a hard look at himself to be a better father to his daughter, Coco.
Len: “It was a good mix of motion with emotion. I thought you did a great job, I am proud of it. Well done to you.”
Bruno: “You brought sensitivity, vulnerability. You were achingly romantic. You were the young man smitten by the femme fatale, broken hearted yet ready to go again and again because you were gonna get the girl at the end. Wonderful.”

Carrie Ann: “Very nice come back. I know last week was devastating. You came back and you brought us so much more of you. What is so special is that you have this incredible raw emotion that is pure and honest….that is what dancing is about, bringing pure joy to people.”

Scores: 8+8+8=24 out of 30. This is a 6 point improvement over last week for David who was in the bottom two.

ROB KARDASHIAN AND CHERYL BURKE

Dance: Foxtrot
Song: “Fly Me to The Moon” by Frank Sinatra
Telephone No.: 1-800-VOTE4-02

Rob wanted to dedicate his Foxtrot to his dad, the late Robert Shapiro, Sr., who died in 2003 and who taught him anything is possible in life. Rob was only 15 when his dad passed and his world turned upside down. Rob chose Fly Me to The Moon because it was one of his father’s favorite songs and he wanted to dance to it as a celebration of his father’s life. He said his dad would want him to show his goofy personality.

Len: “You just put the ‘dash’ in ‘Kardashian.’ Posture was good, footwork was good. Listen, I hope your dad is looking down to say, ‘Rob you did good,’ because you did.”
Bruno: “Rob the man is getting the upper hand. I like the way you started to toy and play with Cheryl. The dominatrix has found her match! A bit of Brando there, a bit of Frank there. There was a beautiful story line behind it.” Bruno also compared Rob’s performance to Guys and Dolls musical and Rob had no idea what that meant.
Carrie Ann: “I like watching you dance Rob because you stick to the program and each week you genuinely make progress. This was a debonair, charming and very smooth performance.”

Scores: 8+8+8= 24 out of 30. This is a 3 point improvement over Rob’s performance score of 21 last week.

CARSON KRESSLY AND ANNA TREBUNSKAYA

Dance: Tango
Song: “It’s My Life” by No Doubt
Telephone No.: 1-800-VOTE4-09

Carson choose 2003 as the most memorable year of his life because that’s the year his show, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy came out. Carson felt like an outsider growing up as a gay person, and said the show was a blessing because it made him proud of who he was for the first time in his life.

Bruno: “Carson, that was insanely brilliant…Arrogant and strong. Yes you got the shoe, and yes you will make it to the ball.”

Carrie Ann: Carson, I love you just the way you are! You brought us drama, entertainment, fun, enthusiasm, craziness, sassy, sexy and technique, beautiful shapes and a little bit girly girly and a little bit masculine.”
Len: “I am gonna be quite positive here but I don’t need a kiss [like you kissed Bruno]. You put the ‘boy’ in ‘flamboyant.’ That Tango had merit and I enjoyed that Tango very much.”

Scores: 8+7+8=23 out of 30. This was Carson’s best score of the season and he improved his score by 5 points from last week.

RICKI LAKE AND DEREK HOUGH

Dance: Rumba
Song: “Gravity” by Sara Bareilles
Telephone No.: 1-800-VOTE4-11

Ricki chose last year as her most memorable year because she went through a tough divorce. She resigned herself to never getting married again as a single mom of two. If that wasn’t bad enough, her house burned down. And through the worst time of her life, she met her new husband, Christian who she says makes her feel loved like she has never felt before. The song signifies Ricki’s ability to love again and she hopes her dance inspires others to find true love too.

Bruno: “Every step was as expressive as a word in a poem. Every move was absolutely essential to the dramatic tension of the story. That was the actress dancer at her best, my darling.”
” Carrie Ann: “Ricki Lake is on fiiiiire. That was fabulous. It was breathtaking, it was gorgeous. It was sensual. Honey, you are looking fierce. You are in love and it is radiating out of you. Fantastic.”

Len: “Derek, may I congratulate you on a great routine. Ricki, may I congratulate you on dancing it so well.”

Scores: 9+9+9=27 out of 30. Best score of the night and 4 points higher than Ricki’s score of last week.

CHAZ BONO AND LACEY SCHWIMMER

Dance: Rumba
Song: “Laugh at Me” by Sonny Bono
Telephone No.: 1-800-VOTE4-12

Chaz’ most memorable year was this year because it’s the happiest he’s ever been. He chose a song written by his dad, Sonny Bono in memory of his dad and to signify that if someone has a problem with him, it is their problem, not Chaz’s.

Carrie Ann: “Chaz, every time I see you get out on the dance floor, I am so impressed by your courage for just showing up here. Tonight was not your best performance and you looked really distracted. You did not look quite focused on the dance. And I also felt like you did not dance enough in this Rumba. It’s breaking me to say this because I just find you to be such an inspiration.”
Len: “Chaz, that was your best dance. Dancing does not come that easy to you and you come back each week after negative comments but you come back and you give it your all. And that says something about your character. Well done.”
Bruno: “We’re all very confused tonight. The fact is there is a very endearing quality about you. The Rumba is a difficult dance because it’s a dance that requires continuous motion. You can never stop and it’s hard to keep the focus and there were moments that you looked lost.”

Scores: 6+6+6=18 out of 30. This was Chaz’s highest score of the season and up by one point over last week.

CHYNNA PHILLIPS AND TONY DOVOLANI

Dance: Rumba
Song: “Hold On” by Wilson Phillips
Telephone No.: 1-800-VOTE4-04

Chynna said 1990 was the most memorable year in her life because she wrote her first hit single then as a teenager with Wilson Phillips. She was suffering from depression and anxiety then. She sought therapy and stopped drinking. She also met her future husband, Billy Baldwin. She feels that she has come so far since writing that song and wanted her dance to serve as inspiration for others that they too can come out of a dark tunnel and enter the light.

Bruno: “I knew you could do it. You are a smoldering siren. Seductive, intriguing, stylish. The body shapes [were] intriguing and elegant. Always so expressive, and the beauty of your lines, you belong in a museum to be admired.”

Carrie Ann: “Well, we asked for more and you certainly did that. You are stunning to watch. Your lines are like butter, it feels so good.”
Len: “Hold on for one more day, cause dancing like that, you’re gonna be here for weeks and weeks. Chynna, you have taken this competition to a whole new level. That was fantastic.”

Scores: Triple 8+9+9=for 26 out of 30. She got the first 9’s of the season and improved her score by 5 points from last week.

NANCY GRACE AND TRISTAN MACMANUS

Dance: Waltz
Song: “Moon River” by Frank Sinatra
Telephone No.: 1-800-VOTE4-05

Nancy Grace choose 2007 –the year she got married–as her most memorable year. The song, Moon River, was the song she walked to down the aisle. Also, it was the first lullaby she sang to her twins when they were in the hospital after a dangerous delivery.

Len: “Nancy you have to get this ballroom stretch and a better ballroom posture. But you showed the emotion of the dance very well.”
Bruno: “Soft like a mother’s embrace. You have to carry through your arms.”

Carrie Ann: “I was transported and it felt like a live action lullaby. Your love and tenderness towards your  daughter and son truly came through the dance.”
Scores: 7+7+7=21 out of 30. Nancy got the same score as last week.

JR MARTINEZ AND KARINA SMIRNOFF

Dance: Rumba
Song: “If You’re Reading This” by Tim McGraw
Telephone No.: 1-800-VOTE4-10

As his most memorable year, J.R. chose the year he was injured in the Iraq war when he drove his Humvee over a landmine. J.R. explained that after he saw his injured face for the first time, he became depressed and he had regret, wishing he had perished instead. At 19, he could not understand how his life had turned upside down. He would go to sleep crying at night until his mom was able to tell him one day some moving words which for some reason resonated deeply with him and made him want to fight for his life.

The song J.R. chose by Tim McGraw is about a soldier’s wife reading her husband’s letter –meaning that if she was reading it, he had not survived the war. He dedicated this song to the men and women who did not get a second chance like he did and who did not make it home.

Carrie Ann: “Heroes are made…they’re ordinary people who do extraordinary things. Tonight, you did something extraordinary. You touched us all. And I could feel the weight with which you dance by dedicating this to all those who we’ve lost. I thank you because that was one of the most profound honest dances I have ever seen on this show.”

Len: “Every season somebody dances to a standard which is unexpected, and this season that dancer is you. I wouldn’t expect performances like that from you. We have to justify our marks…for me, it could have been more musical through the arms. I think it was a wonderful performance, it was so poignant and I loved it.”
Bruno: “Darling you really are a hero and you really are a source of inspiration. You danced from you heart and I could feel every emotion. It was tangible, you could touch it. Great great achievement.”

Scores: 9+8+9=26 out of 30. This score is a four point improvement for JR over last week.
