“The Amazing Race” airs its season finale tonight May 5, 2013. The four remaining teams are Max & Katie, Caroline & Jennifer, Bates & Anthony and Mona & Beth. Who do you think will win The Amazing Race and take home the grand prize?

Max & Katie are the first team to leave the start line, heading to Belfast, Ireland by way of ferry. Bates & Anthony are right behind them and are trying to lose Caroline & Jennifer. Mona and Beth are the last team to leave. All four teams end up on the same ferry ride so, all are on even footing until they get on shore. Now, it’s a footrace to their Ford Fiesta cars.
Caroline & Jennifer and Mona & Beth go in the wrong direction after they get their cars. Next on the race is a RoadBlock which involves bog snorkeling in a wet suit in murky marsh and complete a route in under four minutes. Bates & Anthony finish first and head back to Belfast to for their next task of finding the Thing with the Ring.
At the Roadblock, Jennifer is having a hard time breathing and wants to give up. She failed to finish her first attempt the first time and is on her second attempt. All the other teams have finished and did so on their first attempt and are on their way to find the Thing with the Ring.
Max & Katie asked a local about the location of the ring and are the first team to find it and the clue box which is a Detour. Mona and Beth followed them to the Ring as well and the newlyweds are upset. For the Detour, teams must choose between “Tray It” where they have to serve five courses of actual meals served on the Titanic, or “Spray It” where the teams have to draw graffiti.
Meanwhile, Jennifer is on her third try back at the bog snorkeling..but she finally finshes with some cheering on by Caroline. At the Titanic site, Max & Katie have already served two of the five courses and Bates & Anthony start on theirs. Mona and Beth and Anthony and Bates are all tied up on their first course but Max & Katie are all done. Mona & Beth and Anthony & Bates are both having trouble with their second of five courses.
Caroline & Jennifer are lost on their way to The Thing with the Ring. They ask for directions but get sent out to the wrong place. Bates & Anthony finish their fourth course but Katie and Max are still stuck on their second. Caroline & Jennifer finally find their way to the Detour and try their hands at “Spray It”. Max & Katie finally get their five courses and head out. Bates & Anthony are now the ones stuck on the fifth and last course.
Max & Katie are headed to the Pit Stop at Ulster Hall and are the first team to arrive there. The first three teams to check in tonight will be the only teams racing for the million dollar prize. Bates & Anthony are the second team heading to the pit stop and head there in second place as well.
FIRST PIT STOP ORDER:
1st: Max and Katie–they win a trip for two to the Dominican Republic
2nd: Bates and Anthony
3rd: Mona abd Beth.
Jennifer and Caroline didn’t make the final three and are eliminated from the race!
THE 12TH AND FINAL LEG OF THE RACE:
The last remaining three teams are headed to London next. They get a pint of beer there for their next clue and now have to head back to the States and Washington, DC, their final destination. Once there, they have to head to Lincoln Memorial where Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous speech. From there, they get their clue for a Roadblock at the Tidal Basin which has them being a Spymaster who have to figure out what one of 50 spies has the next clue.
Bates & Anthony finish first. Max is still looking for the right spy. Mona & Beth have just arrived and start as Bates & Anthony head out to Nationals Park. At the Park, one person has to zipline while another is dressed in a baseball mascot costume. That person has to catch balls dropped by the suspended player.
Mona & Beth and Max & Katie get their clues from their spies and head out to Nationals Park but Bates & Anthony finish and are headed to Hains Point where teams have to find marked balls from inside a large pool filled with thousands of balls. The balls they need to retrieve include names of countries they have visited during the race. Once they have all the balls, they then have to place them in order of countries visited.
Bates & Anthony finish and head to George Washington’s first home at Mount Vernon which is also the Finish Line for the race! Will Bates and Anthony win it all??
WHO WON AMAZING RACE TONIGHT:
BATES AND ANTHONY WIN THE AMAZING RACE!
Max and Katie came in second. Mona and Beth come in third.
