Oh boy! Like a good ole’ fashioned STD, MTV has just announced that Jersey Shore is an unwanted gift that keeps on giving. And give it will to us a sixth season.

“What? You thought the series was a wrap once Snooki announced she was pregnant?” MTV asks its fans. And then it answers itself, “Being a baby mama doesn’t mean you can’t have some fun in the sun and a cocktail or two!”

Before you get too nervous about a preggo downing drinks at Karma, MTV has some sense to defensively explain, “Don’t expect Snooks to be doing the Jersey Turnpike at Karma or getting into any more food fights.” The show’s producers say there will be some changes on the boardwalk this summer but promise the cast’s “trademark hilarity and family dysfunction” to remain the same. And, we wouldn’t expect anything more.
