Larry King Retires From CNN – Announced on Twitter

   Twitter apparently has become the official news source via which celebrities quit showbiz. Or maybe Larry King has taken notes from Amanda Bynes on how to announce his retirement. Just like Amanda did so earlier in the month, Larry King announced Tuesday via Twitter that he is going to step down from Larry King Live.

The 76-year-old will not be leaving CNN altogether: He signed a new contract to host quarterly specials on the cable news channel. But his departure from prime time marks a major turning point for CNN, which has built its schedule around Larry King Live for 25 of the network’s 30 years on the air.  I mean, how can they have a Larry King Live without a Larry King?  You can read more about the story on Los Angeles Times
