“This tragedy was something that I had to face too so we’ll get through it,” Bon Jovi continued. “And people’s warm wishes for my family and I have been really reassuring. So, we’re good.”

Usher Is NOT Dead, Flexes Muscles On Twitter

Usher is NOT dead, no matter what Twitter users want you to believe.

In fact, the R&B sensation is not only alive, but he’s kicking it pretty well all beefed up.
Usher has apparently become the latest victim of the stupid trend of creating fake celebrity death stories and watching the rumors go viral online. LAME PEOPLE, lame!

Jon Bon Jovi IS NOT Dead Losers

Jon Bon Jovi is not dead

I am in a pretty bad mood today. So, this was not the best day for an idiot out there in the world to falsely claim the demise of my favorite musician and humanitarian, Jon Bon Jovi.

JBJ is the latest celebrity to fall prey to a death hoax, this time, by an a-hole who works for a loser blog. This loser blog which wont be named here hence I give it any more traffic, “reported” that Bon Jovi was found unconscious in a room at the Empress Hotel in Asbury Park, N.J., and later pronounced dead at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Jon Bon Jovi Opens Ground-Breaking ‘Pay What You Can’ Soul Kitchen

I’ve always been a fan of Jon Bon Jovi – his music, his concert booty shaking and most importantly, his philanthropy!

Just when I think he can’t outdo himself, Jon surprises me and one ups everything and everyone else. This time, the singer has opened a restaurant featuring healthy foods and which allows customers to “pay what you can.” Jon explained, “When I learned that one in six people in this country goes to bed hungry, I thought this was the next phase of the (Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation’s) work.”

“At a time when one in five households are living at or below the poverty level, and at a time when one out of six Americans is food insecure, this is a restaurant whose time has come. This is a place based on and built on community – by and for the community.”

Called The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen, the new digs are located in Red Bank, New Jersey with a goal to provide low-income families with healthy alternatives to inexpensive fast food. For its October 19 grand opening, the menu included crusted catfish with red beans and rice, grilled chicken breast with homemade basil mayo and rice pilaf, and grilled salmon with soul seasonings, sweet potato mash and sauteed greens.
“This is not a soup kitchen,” Jon said. “You can come here with the dignity of linens and silver, and you’re served a healthy, nutritious meal. This is not burgers and fries.”

To eat there, one can pay whatever amount they can afford or, better yet, volunteer for the restaurant or the local food bank.

But don’t go to the Soul Kitchen expecting to see The Man doing any of the cooking, though you may just catch Jon doing something behind the scenes. “I’m an expert at washing dishes,” Jon explains, “but I can cook less than zero … But picture the coolest brasserie in your hometown, that’s what this is. It’s the hottest-looking restaurant in this town.”

Sofia Vergara Talks Babies, Boyfriend, & Jon Bon Jovi

Modern Family star Sofia Vergara graces the cover of this month’s Redbook magazine and talks about her boyfriend, possibility of babies, and Jon Bon Jovi.

Sofia feels like a lucky women these days with two Emmy nominations under her belt, starring in a super successful prime time show and dating her cute boyfriend, politician Nick Loeb.

Here are some highlights from the interview:

On motherhood, then, and now:
“When I had Manolo, I was 19, and I had the energy for everything. My boyfriend now wants to have kids, and I don’t even want to think about it. I would have to get into that mind-set again, the waking up early.”

On when she accepted her now famous curves:
“The thing is, I’ve had these ridiculously huge boobs since I was super young. Like, 13. I was really skinny at that time, so it was weird to have those f—ing boobs and be skinny. It was hideous. Then after I had my kid, I got hips and everything started to come together.”

On helping Modern Family writers:

“When Modern Family was just beginning, I’d have to tell the writers what I thought would be better for me to say. Most of them are American men, so to write for a Latin woman is not as natural for them as writing for Julie [Bowen], for example. Because they have wives like Julie, sisters like Julie, you know what I mean? But now they’re so good, they’re like hot Latin girls!”

On Jon Bon Jovi:

“When I was going to film [upcoming movie] New Year’s Eve with Jon Bon Jovi—I mean, in Columbia, he is the biggest thing. I grew up being in love with him. So when I saw him, I was like, “Oh, my God, it’s Bon Jovi!” But when he saw me, he was like, ‘Oh my God, it’s Gloria!” Its just insane.”

WTF?! Bon Jovi Plays Concert Without Richie Sambora

Richie Sambora and me 🙂

Richie Sambora, Bon Jovi’s guitarist, allegedly checked himself into rehab last week, but as they say, and as incredulous as it sounds with this band, the show must go on for Bon Jovi without Sambora. So, the unthinkable happened. The band started a new tour anyway without a partial heart and soul of the group and headlined the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on Saturday (April 30).

Say it isn’t so?! It’s like Disneyland losing Mickey Mouse…you know how the rest of that song goes..”Get me through the night..Make everything all right.”

But it is sadly so. Phil “X” Xenidis filled in for Sambora. Bon Jovi started the show with Blood on Blood and then ripped right into You Give Love A Bad Name. Per Rolling Stone, Xenidis subbed in “admirably, picking up Sambora’s talk box parts and adding muscle to a show that only got better and better, especially in its last hour.”

Apparently, Bon Jovi never talked about the switch at guitarist during the show. The band even played their signature encore song, Dead or Alive during well, the encore. Having seen these guys in concert 20 times or so, I know Sambora’s absence must have been tremendously felt throughout the show but especially so during this song. I don’t care what any review by Rolling Stone or other mags say. When Bon Jovi played Livin’ on a Prayer Saturday night as one of the last songs, Jon Bon Jovi finally acknowledged the pink elephant (not) in the room stage, by saying, “I’m sending this out to our brother Richie.”
Bon Jovi’s next show is May 3 in Ontario, Canada. No word yet on when Richie will return to perform.

In response to questions about Richie Sambora & Bon Jovi’s upcoming performance schedule, the band released this statement on their Facebook page April 28:

“Our support for Richie is absolute. He is, and will remain, a member of Bon Jovi. Although he will be absent from upcoming shows for the time being, we very much look forward to his healthy return. In the meantime, we will keep our commitment to our fans and continue our tour.”

I don’t know, man. As much as I love this band, and as much as I jock Jon [hell, I named my dog after you!], this “fan” will sit this tour out until Richie returns. And, Richie – YOU get better soon. I and millions of others are rooting for your full recovery.
