Judges’ Commentary: Len Goodman: He said Ingo came out and danced this week. Added that Ingo did “exactly” what he asked of him last week. Footwork was hit or miss but still a huge improvement. Ingo needs to work on his feet, but overall, he improved. Bruno said it was a bonanza of tricky steps. says Kim is giving Ingo hard steps, but he performed well and “overall [they] have the spirit, speed, and attitude.”  Added that Ingo needs to work on his footwork. Carrie Ann disagreed with Len and said his frame was the problem. “Keep it strong.” She loves his presence. Tells him that his elbows were dropped a bit.

Judges Commentary: Bruno says Dorothy gave it “a very brave attempt,” because she’s dancing with a cyst on her ankle. he said she lost her footing many times and tells her to relax her shoulders. Carrie Ann says Dorothy has natural grace and sense of movement. But Carrie Ann sensed the fear Dorothy had about injuring her ankle. Len simply says “it didn’t quite deliver” and said there were mistakes and it was a mess.
Judges’ Scores: Carrie Ann: 5, Len: 5, Bruno: 5 = 15/30. Combined with last week’s score of 21, they have a total score of 36/60 for both weeks.

Judges Commentary: Carrie Ann loved it! Len “thoroughly enjoyed it” said it was fun and filled with razmitazz, and wants them to maintain this level of energy moving forward. Bruno said it was like watching “a headlining star at the Cotton Club.” He said it had wit, charm and filled with outstanding moves.

Judges Commentary: Len says the dance “didn’t knock my socks off”–if you remember, he asked them last week to knock his socks off. Bruno called it “a runaway train…causing all the stylistic aspects to go out the window”. He called it a Zumba dance. Carrie Ann said Victor needs to “work on his feet.”
Judges’ scores: Carrie Ann: 6, Len: 6, Bruno:6 = 18/30. Total score= 36/60 for the entire competition thus far.

Judges Commentary: Bruno liked the start but added that it ended up in a casual stroll. He told them to try and keep up their energy “all the way.” Carrie Ann thinks Wynonna is on the right track but needs to loosen up. She added that her frame and posture are beautiful. Len said they certainly entertain but felt it was a bit too slow and needed “a bit more attack.”

Judges’ Commentary: Bruno says Sean has charm and charisma and is light on his feet but the dance was a bit too Lindy hop and jitterbug. He needs to do more “underarm passes.” Said he has a wonderful presence on the dance floor, not just because of the muscles. Carrie Ann called it a solid performance though he needs to stay in sync more often with Peta. He said he is not feeling the music but once he does, ‘watch out!’ Len says there was not enough jive and called it too theatrical.

He did make one critical comment: Aly’s head went “too far to the left.” Bruno said it was like watching a magic bluebird in full flight. He added that the pair took a “classic dance” and gave it a personal spin.

Judges’ Comments: Len said he felt “it was a little bit wooden…it never took off”. He did not think it was “neat and precise.” Bruno said “the service was lacking a little bit” and he wants Lisa to concentrate on containing and placing her movements. Carrie Ann likes Lisa’s refinement. She tells Lisa and Gleb that Gleb needs to watch the lifts and Lisa needs to work more on her arms. She said Lisa did well “holding herself with such refinement.” She added Lisa should let loose a little more.
