“In the number seven spot is none other than “Jersey Shore” star Pauly D, who makes a fist-pumping (or some might actually say depressing) $11 million a year for his DJing appearances. That sort of money can buy a lot of hair gel and tanning-booth visits.”
The now-multi-millionaire DJ hailing from Rhode Island never even attended college and got a job straight out of high school working at a car dealership. On weekends and nights, he moonlighted as a DJ, making a few hundred dollars per gig.
Well, as you know, Jersey Shore came along in 2009. Pauly D not only stars on the hit MTV reality show, he has since become the owner of a slew of his own products, opened for Britney Spears on her Femme Fatale tour and now gets paid $40K per DJ gig.
“Everybody was skeptical at first, because how everybody heard about me is probably from Jersey Shore. But now I’m six seasons deep in the show and I’ve been touring all over the country, touring with major pop acts and stuff like that. That legitimizes everything, and they’re starting to say, ‘This kid isn’t just a reality star, he’s an actual DJ.’”
