DJ Pauly D & Deadmau5 Start Twitter War Over Pauly’s First Music Video!

Remember when I told you that DJ Pauly D of The Jersey Shore had become a member of 50 Cent’s G-Unit team, signing on to the rapper’s G-Note record label? Well things have progressed nicely for Pauly D since and he just premiered his first official music video Night of My Life yesterday. You can watch it below! YAY PAULY!

But the video release did not come without some drama, of course; drama which somehow involved a dead mouse no less.
After Pauly premiered his video, he asked his Twitter followers what they thought of it and Deadmau5 took it upon himself to give it a not-so-raving review. “Well since you asked, i didn’t really enjoy it. it looked like it cost about $150 to make, and nothing really creative about it.” And if that weren’t enough, he added: “@DJPaulyD yer ‘overmarketing’ the hell out of it. just being honest. your fans aren’t idiots. engage them, and the music will do the selling.”
Well, that wasn’t nice Deadmau5.
Those two little ‘ole Tweets lead to a full day of entertainment for the rest of us when Pauly quickly shot back in his usual jovial style, “T-Shirt $40, Jeans $120, Hair Gel $12, Being Hated On By Deadmau5 #Priceless.”
Priceless indeed. Thank you Pauly!
But you knew Deadmau5 couldn’t leave well enough alone. He Tweeted: “Hating? the f–k? you clearly don’t know me enough if you thought that was ‘hating’. was just some friendly-ish advice.”
And, so, just like that, the Twitter war between the two artists started and the Twitter war ball was now in Pauly’s court. “Wonder If I Could Get @Deadmau5 To DJ My Birthday ?? Now That Would Be The #NightOfMyLife.” Pauly added, “Maybe He Just Needs Some Cheese To Go With His Whine … #WheresMyMau5Trap.”

You knew it wouldn’t be long before the fans got involved too — mostly sticking up for Pauly D of course. @THEjoecat addressed Deadmau5, writing: “So you critique the quality of DJ Pauly D’s video based on what you think it cost? So, spend more on gear=music is better? #jackass.” Deadmau5 responded: “nah, i just thought it was a piece of shit, in short. typical bottlepopping playpressing garbage im sure everyones sick of.”

Another fan wrote: “@deadmau5 ur music SUCKS dude!#WMC ur party was by far the worst u are in no position to critique @DJPaulyD for doing his thing nd killin it.” Deadmau5’s response? “i’ll just leave it at: “Don’t blame your failure on haters. If everyone thinks you suck, they’re not haters, they’re right.”

This went on for a while until Deadmau 5 couln’t take it any longer. He Tweeted: “well, now that Jersey (and quite possibly the rest of the eastern seaboard) ‘came at me bro’ i guess its time for bed soon…”

Pauly got the last words in: “Well DeadMau5 Today Was A Pleasure , Hope U Had Fun Too , But I Got Show To Watch Tonight #PaulyDProject U Should Tune In @MTV.

Watch DJ Pauly D’s first music video, Night of My Life, in the video clip below. Since the video’s received over 500K hits already, looks like Pauly had the last laugh here…Oh, that and the fact that Pauly’s song on itunes (Dance) is at # 12 and Deadmau5’s The Veldtdropped under him to number 13. A little poetic justice at play, don’t you think?
