Arnold Schwarzenegger Ices Acting Plans – Stands To Lose Millions

Arnold Schwarzenegger was set to pocket 12.5 million from his next movie, Cry Macho, but due to the scandal that rocked his world this week, he is prematurely withdrawing from that movie and any other film project which he was contemplating.

Per Arnold’s lawyer, the actor has asked his acting agent at CAA to discontinue his current film negotiations indefinitely.

The lawyer’s statement reads, “At the request of Arnold Schwarzenegger we asked Creative Artists Agency to inform all his motion picture projects currently underway or being negotiated to stop planning until further notice.”

“Governor Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines. This includes Cry Macho, The Terminator franchise and other projects under consideration. We will resume discussions when Governor Schwarzenegger decides,” the former California governor’s lawyer told UsMagazine.com on Thursday.

Haley Reinhart Channels A Bit Of Led Zeppelin

Haley Reinhart picked Led Zeppelin’s What Is and What Should Never Be as her first song of the night, a choice that American Idol mentor of the week, Beyoncé, thought was “interesting.”

Haley was joined by her dad on guitar Wednesday night (5/18). She proved she is now a force to be reckoned with, and remained poised and unphased even when she fell during her first song.

Randy Jackson: “This is what it’s all about! I love the fact that now in this moment when you need to be great, this girl is slammin’. You are fearless, you chose a song that is not for the weak at heart. This is crazy vocals and one of your best performances ever. Crazy, crazy.”
Steven Tyler: “Haley, did you fall for me? It’s not how many times you fall, it’s how many times you get back up. That was superb.”
Jennifer Lopez: “You keep going. That’s the sign of a professional. It was a tough song and you sang it really really great.”
The judges picked Haley as having won the first round. Watch her first song performance:

She did not impress the judges as much on her second song, Rihannon” by Fleetwood Mac, chosen for her by Jimmy Iovine. Jackson called it somber even though he thought her pitch was perfect throughout the whole song. Tyler said “You sang that song so beautifully, I remembered why I fell in love with Stevie Nicks in the first place.” Lopez, said the camerawork did Haley well and thought she could have taken the song a bit further at the end, but called it “beautiful” nonetheless. Watch for yourself:
Haley’s last song of the night was Alanis Morissette’s You Oughta Know. Jackson said, “America’s got their work cut out for them, because I don’t know, those were some amazing choruses. I love seeing you rock out like that in a soulful way.” Tyler said, “Amazing, that was so perfect. You so nailed the choruses. Beautiful.” J.Lo said, “There is no one that can match you there as far as how high you can go and how much power you can put behind your growling.” Watch the performance for yourself:

Video: Lauren Alaina Shows Her Fun Flirty Side

Lauren Alaina was a bit starstruck by this week’s American Idol mentor, Beyoncé, but she took notes when the R&B icon suggested she get into a stage persona when she’s singing and not be afraid of the audience.
Lauren came out on her first song Wednesday (5/18) night with a flirty attitude and an even flirtier outfit (big flower earrings, a flowing red top and white cowboy boots). And even better, she was all smiles!
Here is what the judges said about her first song, Wild One by Faith Hill:

Jennifer Lopez: “Every time you come out, you have to create a moment. That was very good.”

Randy Jackson: “I love seeing you having fun. That was a nice song choice for you and I could tell you had a connection with it. When you let yourself go, that’s when you’re at your best.”

Steven Tyler: “Oh Lauren, you’re having fun. I loved the way you were singing tonight. You’re so ready for this, you’re ready for America to be all over you. I’m so happy for you.”
For her first song, Lauren sang Faith Hill’s Wild One:

Lauren’s second song, chosen for her by Jimmy Iovine, was If I Die Young by the Band Perry. J.Lo told her about a little miss that she had during the song, “You have the most beautiful tone of our finalists…it’s a magical thing. You got caught up in the honesty of what you were creating, and it was beautiful.”  Jackson said, “You got such a beautiful tone and it was a great song choice.” Tyler said, “I loved it as well. It’s a beautiful song, you have a beautiful voice and you nailed it again.”
Watch for yourself:

For her last song and as judges’ pick, Lauren sang Lee Ann Womack’s I Hope You Dance. She gave J.Lo the “goosies.” J.Lo said: “That was beautiful, I’m gonna dare to say you won that round for me already.” Jackson said, “You slayed it.”  Tyler gushed,”You walked down here like you owned the Grand Ole Opry. You sang that song so perfectly. Lee Ann is a good friend of mine too and she’s so happy!” Watch it for yourself:

Scotty McCreery Makes A Country Music Lover Out Of Me..And You?

Someone give Scotty McCreery a contract already because this seasoned crooner is already way too ready to become a country singing superstar.

On Wednesday’s (5/18) American Idol, Scotty sang the life out of Lonestar’s Amazed as his first song of the night. And then he blew me away with his rendition of Kenny Rogers’ She Believes In Me. Scotty, I believe in you and you are making a country music lover out of me!

Here are the judges’ comments to his first performance:

Steven Tyler: “I just think you get better and better with your melody and your singing. I saw you get angry in the middle of that song, that’s what I have been waiting for. That’s really beautiful. You really did take that song up a notch.”

Jennifer Lopez: “It’s great to see you over the weeks…and how much you have grown. I’m sure there are a million girls out there wishing you were singing that song to them.”

Randy Jackson: “It was a great song choice for you. You know who you are and where your lane is. You put a period at the end of that song. You looked into that camera, that’s money!”

Watch Amazed for yourself:

For his second song, chosen by Jimmy Iovine, Scotty sang Thompson Square’s Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not? Tyler was all smiles! “I never heard you deliver a chorus like that before, you were singing those words, ‘are you gonna kiss me or not?’Beautiful, real character showing through.” Lopez said the performance was full of little moments that she loves so much and showed the audience the singer’s personality. She then asked him to shave his head next week so he can look the way he did in auditions. Jackson said, “It was really perfect, right in your range,” and then compared him to Garth Brooks. Jackson and Lopez called the second round for Scotty!

For his third song, he nailed one of my favorites, She Believes In Me by Kenny Rogers – the song  chosen by the judges for him. Tyler said, “I do believe that’s the first big chorus you’ve sang,. You put it over the top for me. That was it right there.” Lopez said, “We chose that song because we all wanted to know if you could hit that big chorus, I guess you showed us!” Jackson agreed, “It’s about you stretching yourself at this point…seeing you believe you could hit those notes, you were so sweet and tender in the front. You hit the chorus. Very nicely done.”

Video: Scotty McCreery Is “Ready For Super Stardom”

Scotty McCreery rendered a beautiful, moving and pitch perfect performance of Alan Jackson’s Where Were You? on May 11th’s American Idol.

Listen, I am not a connoisseur of conutry music by any means, but I know a damn good heartfelt performance when I see and hear one, and Scotty, you killed it for me!

The Idol judges agree:

Randy Jackson: “Dude, I think it’s the perfect song choice for where we are as a country. I applaud you for that. You set your mark on this stage this season. You are ready for super stardom and I hope you make it.”

Steven Tyler: “That was beautiful. I ditto what Randy said. Passion…that’s really important. I see it in your eyes.”

Jennifer Lopez: “I’m just in love with you. I can’t help it. What you stand for, what you bring to your music. I can tell you know who you are. I can tell you know what touches other people. It’s the mark of someone who is meant to do this. And I’m glad we’re here to witness it.”

For his second song, he sang a more up-tempo fun song by The Coasters Young Blood. Tyler said it best, “You made Gaga’s yaya go lala. How could you do that?” HUH?
