Jackie Evancho Of America’s Got Talent Has Become Top-Selling Debut Artist of 2010

She may not have won the competition but Jackie Evancho, the 10-year old phenom discovered by America’s Got Talent with an out-of-this-world operatic voice, has set a Billboard record with the release of the album “O Holy Night.”

The album sold 239,000 copies in its first-week of release, is ranked number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and made Evnacho the top-selling debut artist of 2010. Not too shabby for a pre-teen.

“Jackie Evancho is one of the purest and finest vocalists I’ve ever heard, and the initial response to her debut release has been phenomenal,” said Steve Barnett, Chairman of Columbia Records.

In a first of its kind, big-time celebs are actually going radio-silent just to prove a point and raise funds for charity.

Stars such as Usher, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Ryan Seacrest, Kim Kardashian, and Justin Timberlake will go dark on all online activities starting Wednesday, December 1.

The Digital Life Sacrifice event will raise money for Alicia’s charity, Keep a Child Alive and raise awareness for World AIDS Day. As soon as $1 million is raised to help families with HIV/AIDS in Africa and India, the celebs will sign back online.

“This is such a direct and instantly emotional way and a little sarcastic, you know, of a way to get people to pay attention,” Alicia told the Associated Press.

The celebs have also filmed their “last tweet and testament” videos which show each star lying in a coffin.

Hey Twilight saga fans – Can’t wait until Breaking Dawn hits the theaters November 18, 2011? Me either.

Well, Director Bill Condon has thrown us all a bone by sending the first pic from the movie via Twitter, and, well, it’s a doozy! 
What did he Tweet? It’s a real still shot from the movie which may not make any sense to anyone who has not read the Twilight books, but which is crystal clear to us Twihards: A shot of Bella in bed, clutching a fist full of feathers. 
Oh, how I can’t wait….
Here it is….It’s not much, but it’s just enough to make you get anxious for the release of the movie in less than a year…

Justin Bieber Tells Bullies “Bullying Isn’t Cool” – Video

Justin Bieber said recently he has had his own problems with bullies. Then again, seriously, which one of us hasn’t at one point or another in our lives?

But Bieber is doing something about it and he is the latest in a long line of celebrities who have recorded a public service announcement to speak out against bullying for the “It Gets Better” project.

In this video, Justin is enjoying the music of one of my favorite musicians, Bruno Mars--appropriately singing “Just The Way You Are!”

Axl Rose Sues Activision for $20M For Including Imagery Of Slash On “Guitar Hero”

Where’s the love? It’s no secret that Axl Rose and Slash, former Guns N’ Roses bandies, are not exactly BFFs these days but apparently the dislike for each other goes a bit deeper than that.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Rose is actually suing ‘Guitar Hero’ maker Activision for $20 million for violating an agreement to exclude Slash and his likeness and Slash’s new band Velvet Revolver in ‘Guitar Hero III.’

The complaint filed by Rose and his company, Black Frog Music, at the Los Angeles Superior Court states:

“[Activision] began spinning a web of lies and deception to conceal its true intentions to not only feature Slash and [Velvet Revolver] prominently in ‘GH III’ but also promote the game by emphasizing and reinforcing an association between Slash and Guns N’ Roses and the band’s song ‘Welcome to the Jungle.‘” 
‘Guitar Hero III’ was officially released on Oct. 28. No comment yet from Activision.

 Step aside MacGruber and make room for Macarooner! MacGruber would be one of SNL characters that would get the boot if the long-time Sesame Street resident Cookie Monster gets his wish for relocation to Rockefeller Plaza where SNL is taped “live”.

Watch the hilarious audition tape below that our beloved blue man has put together to land himself a gig on Saturday Night Live. If I were an executive at SNL, I would book this little critter immediately!

John Travolta And Kelly Preston’s Baby Boy Is Born!

Per E! News, John Travolta and Kelly Preston welcomed their third child together Tuesday night at a Florida hospital. As the couple had indicated before, the baby is a boy and they named him Benjamin.

Per Travolta’s rep, “John, Kelly and their daughter Ella Bleu are ecstatic and very happy about the newest member of the family. Both mother and baby are healthy and doing beautifully.”

Baby Benjamin came in at 8 pounds, 3 ounces.

After weeks of competition and after so much drama on and off of the dance floor this year, the time has come to crown our winner.

Starting with third place for Season 11 of DWTS, we have Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas.  Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer came in second and as most people expected since the competition began, Jennifer Grey has taken home this season’s mirror-ball trophy. Congrats Jennifer and Derek Hough.
