MTV Passes On Lauren Conrad’s New Show

Lauren Conrads name no longer means reality “cha-ching” for MTV, the network who made her a star on Laguna Beach and The Hills

According to EW.com, MTV has decided to pass on Conrad’s latest reality project, which would have chronicled her post-Hills life.

“She did do a pilot. There were talks about whether we could somehow manage to put together a special based on that footage but that’s also a big question mark based on her interest in that and the finances,” says MTV’s EVP, Head of Programming, David Janollari. “We decided not to go ahead with the show.”

Conrad herself tells a different story. She released this statement: “We sold a show to MTV, filmed it and are really proud of the final result. MTV felt the subject matter was too high brow for their audience and offered me the opportunity to change the show by incorporating more of my personal life. We agreed going into the project that this show would be an aspirational one, focusing on my career and my goals and not my personal relationships. We delivered the show that we sold and are sorry MTV didn’t feel their viewers were savvy enough to appreciate it.”

Mila Kunis Feels Lucky

Mila Kunis graces the latest cover of LA Times Magazine in a Georges Hobeika Spring 2010 couture cocktail dress. And by “graces” I mean she looks smoking hot.

In the mag, Mila talks about her career and making comedies.

Here are some excerpts from the issue:
On her TV/Film career:“I was very lucky to have a show for eight years. Now I can sit back and think about what I want.”

On acting in comedies:“I love doing comedies. They’re just as hard, if not harder, to make work, compared with a drama. You work 17 hours a day, and you have to try to make things different and funny and relatable onscreen all at the same time.”

On not having any projects lined up right now:“I know people say this all the time, but it’s true: I don’t ever want to work for the sake of working.”

After an epic season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Bravo has revealed the latest iteration of its flagship franchise: The Real Housewives of Miami!
Promising a “unique flavor,” the series goes inside this cultural hot spot to follow six of the most connected and influential women living life to the fullest.
Alexia Echevarria, a.k.a. “Cuban Barbie,” has her finger on the pulse of Miami’s Latin culture. Professionally, Alexia is executive editor of Venue Magazine.
Personally, she loves nothing more than spending time at her Miami Beach home with husband Herman and her two sons from a pervious marriage.
Marysol Patton is one of Miami’s most sought-after women both socially and professionally as the head of one of the city’s top PR firms, the Patton Group.
When Marysol’s not working, she finds time to hang with her mother Elsa, a character in her own right. NOTE: Elsa considers herself a “seer,” not a psychic.
Larsa Pippen is the wife of NBA Hall of Fame member Scottie Pippen. She shares the unofficial title of “Hottest NBA Wife” with friend and co-star Cristy Rice.
A snarky Lebanese beauty, Larsa boasts that she’s successful at everything she does, including playing wife and mother to the couple’s four young kids.
Cristy Rice is a Miami native with a sassy Latina flair. Recently divorced from former NBA star Glen Rice, Cristy has entered a new phase of her life.
When she’s not out dancing the night away or dealing with relationship drama, her life is packed with being a single mom or running her clothing store.
Lea Black is a deeply loved, occasionally uncompromising, but universally respected Texas native leaving an indelible mark on the city of Miami.
Married to one of the top defense attorneys in the country, Roy Black, and raising their 9-year-old son, Lea has a reputation as a community leader.
Adriana DeMoura-Sidi is a Brazilian bombshell, full-time mom and highly respected Miami art curator who just came out of a traumatic divorce.
While she wasted no time meeting her new fiancée, Fredric, that relationship is often on the rocks due to her flirtatious ways and fiery personality
Larsa Pipen: Larsa is Scottie Pipen’s wife and probably has the potential to be the star of the show. She’s a “snarky Lebanese beauty” who is staying busy by “turning her three little boys into star athletes.”

Cristy Rice: She used to be married to NBA superstar Glen Rice, but now she’s basically a single mom looking to party away her problems.

Alexia Echevarria: Alexia may be the only one with an actual job. She’s the executive editor of Venue Magazine in Miami. She’s married with two kids.

Marysol Patton: Marysol is the social butterfly of the group. She’s a publicist with the Patton Group and claims to be semi physic. She provides “spiritual guidance” to her A-list clients. Right.

Lea Black This Texas born Miami housewife is married to one of the top criminal defense attorneys in the country, Roy Black. She raised money for President Barack Obama during his 2008 presidential campaign as well as many other local Florida politicians.

Adriana DeMoura-Sidi: Adriana is the Brazilian bombshell. Coming off a traumatic divorce, Adriana wasted no time meeting her new fiancée, Fredric. Sounds like she’s the troublemaker of the group.

Any of the ladies sound interesting? If so, check out RHOM on Tues, February 22nd at 10/9 central.

American Idol hopeful, 17-year old Courtney Penry of Missouri City, Texas wants to be Julianne Hough.

“American Idol” Apologizes For Steven Tyler’s “Outrageous” Behavior – Watch The Video

VIDEO CLIP OF THE DAY.

I know I am not alone when I say, “I l-o-v-e Steven Tyler as a judge on American Idol!”

Ya ya, he’s quirky. So what if he’s blatantly hitting on some of the female contestants? Yes, he uncontrollably breaks into song at any given moment. And, yep, I caught him scolding veteran judge, Randy Jackson and telling him not to tell contestants they sing badly when they really really do sound awful.

All that aside, and maybe because of all of that, he is still the breath of fresh air this show needed at its most desperate hour.

So, when Idol started its Austin, Texas auditions show Wednesday night with an “apology” for Steven Tyler’s “outrageous” behavior, I was like, huh? What for? Who complained? No one ever apologized for Simon Cowell!

Then, Idol rolled the video clip. And the joke was on us.

American Idol, you are back you wacky favorite show of mine!

Watch for yourself!

Kristin Davis To Be Honored By Humane Society

Sex and the City star, Kristin Davis will be honored March 19 by the Humane Society of the United States with one of its most prestigious awards for her work on behalf of African elephants.

Davis will receive the Wyler Award for the awareness she has brought to the predicament of orphaned African elephants, targeted by ivory poachers.

“I am so excited to receive the Wyler Award from The Humane Society of the United States, as it gives me the opportunity to keep talking about an issue that’s a profound labor of love for me. Elephants are truly amazing animals and they need our protection, and what people in this country may not realize is that they can help by not buying ivory items.”

Beverly Kaskey, Sr. Director of the Hollywood office of the HSUS says: “Kristin Davis is the embodiment of the Wyler Award. Known for her compassion for all animals, Kristin has made elephants a primary cause, and we are proud to acknowledge her work spreading the message about a critical animal issue.”
On behalf of all animal lovers, I say a big loud, “thank you Kristin!”
