BOTTOM TWO (AFTER LAKODA RAYNE GOT ELIMINATED):

LeRoy Bell
Marcus Canty

Marcus Canty sings first for survival. He does a rendition of Christina Aguilera’s You Lost Me.
LeRoy Bell sings Don’t Let Me Down by The Beatles.

ELIMINATED / VOTED OFF:
1. Lakoda Rayne
2. LeRoy Bell

VOTING:
-L.A. Reid said Marcus has been consistent all season and so he saved his own mentee, Marcus. He also urged the other judges to remember how good Marcus has been all season (probably since LeRoy killed Marcus in the ‘sing for survival’ round).
-Nicole saved her mentee LeRoy, but said there is no doubt in her mind that Marcus is a star.
-Paula told Marcus that he is one of her favorites but he didn’t deliver tonight (I agree). She chose to send home Marcus because LeRoy sang for his life better (he did – he was electrifying).
-Simon said he likes them both. In the competition, he said, Marcus is nodging ahead of LeRoy but also said that LeRoy sang better for survival. So, Simon chose to save Marcus to tie things up 2-2. Because of the tie with the judges’ votes, we had to resort to fan votes. The person with the lowest number of fan votes was LeRoy Bell so he was eliminated.

VIDEO: Is Melanie Amaro ‘The World’s Greatest’?

On tonight’s (Nov. 22) ‘thanks giving’ episode of X Factor, Melanie Amaro showed us her vulnerable, authentic self after she put on an amazing performance of R. Kelly’s The World’s Greatest.

Before her performance, Melanie gave thanks to God for all he has given her. She said everyone else has let her down at some point in life, including her parents with whom she did not always live. So, she learned to rely on God.
After her performance, Melanie started speaking with a British Virgin Islands accent where she was born to show the fans who she really is. The judges gave her a standing ovation and Nicole asked to give her a hug for showing her vulnerability.

VIDEO: Astro Shows Us What He’s Got – Says Wont Let Hip Hop Down Again

On tonight’s (Nov. 22) ‘thanks giving’ episode of X Factor, teen rapper Astro explained his temper tantrum of last week and promised his fans not to let them down again. The 15 year old rapper from Brooklyn explained in a pre-packaged video that he “didn’t know how to control my emotions” last week when he found himself in the bottom two and he “could have handled it better.”

For tonight’s performance, Astro set his original lyrics to Jay-Z’s Show Me What You Got and rapped, “Got my head in the right place and I’m back to win.”

After he finished performing, he said, “To Team Astro and all the AstroNauts across the world, but mostly hip-hop, I’ll never let you down again.”

Simon Cowell said, “The music business needs unpredictability. As long as you keep a good head on your shoulders and always do your very best, you’ll be fine.”

VIDEO: Josh Krajcik Delivers A Heartfelt Rendition Of Wild Horses For Daughter

On tonight’s (Nov. 22) ‘thanks giving’ episode of X Factor, Josh Krajcik dedicated a soulful and heartfelt rendition of the Rolling Stones‘ Wild Horses to his daughter.

Krajcik said he had his daughter, Rowan, when he was only 17 years old. After he lost Rowan’s mother, he was in utter despair. Rowan was the only reason he was inspired to go on and pursue his music. “The whole reason I’m here [on ‘X Factor’] is for her,” Josh said. “I hope that she watches and says ‘Wow, that’s my dad.’”

Krajcik sat alone at a piano and without any gimmicks delivered a heart stopping rendition of the Stones’ 1971 classic. The audience gave him a standing ovation when he was finished and mentor Nicole Scherzinger said, “I strongly believe that your music can change the world.”

The X Factor’s Astro Apologizes To His Fans

On last Thursday’s The X Factor results show, Astro threw a temper tantrum when he found himself in the bottom two and at first refused to sing for survival.

Luckily, the 15-year old rapper was saved by the judges from elimination once he did sing and has since taken to Facebook to apologize for his behavior.

“What I do, I do for the love of Hip-Hop and my fans, and I would never doing anything to hurt either….I believed I was being mistreated… My guards are always up, and maybe I took the situation too heavy. I seriously apologize to my fans, what I said and my emotions weren’t directed toward you. I’m 15 and I think I know everything, but the truth is, I don’t, and I handled the situation wrong! Win or lose next week, I will make you all proud!”

If you haven’t watched Astro perform, you should. This teen is extremely impressive in his talent and you don’t even have to be a fan of hip hop to have fun watching him on stage. I say we cut him slack for one mistake and let the show go on!

VIDEO: Astro Throws Temper Tantrum On The X Factor

On Thursday night’s The X FactorAstro was in the bottom two along with Stacy Francis and this obviously-disappointing result got the worst of the 15-year old rapper.

At first, Astro seemed resigned to the possibility of going home, telling the audience, “Don’t be sad. Hip hop made it this far.” But a few minutes later, when Astro came to stage to sing for survival, he stopped the music and said he would rather not perform, calling it “unnecessary.”
His mentor, L.A. Reid and the audience urged him to sing and he eventually gave a rendition of Never Can Say Goodbye which L.A. called “lackluster.”

When the judges were to vote on who should stay or go between Astro and Francis, judge Simon Cowell asked Astro why he threw a temper tantrum and Astro explained, “If you want to put me in the bottom two, I don’t want to perform for people who don’t want me here.” Despite this bad attitude, somehow, Astro’s talent saved him from extinction and Stacy was sent home instead.

L.A. showed support for his student, telling the audience, “He’s dealing with being in the bottom 2 in his own way. There’s a pain, we don’t know the pain that he may be going through.” Reid continued, “When you enter a competition, you have to be prepared for the results. And if the results don’t land in your favor, good sportsman-like conduct is still required. I was disappointed in the attitude.”

Stacy Francis said after the show about her ouster, “The thing to be disappointed about is when you see someone like Astro have such an obnoxious attitude about it is that he gets to stay.”

“Astro’s 14 [he’s actually 15] and you can call him a teenager and give him an excuse, but bad behavior is bad behavior. He was ungracious in that moment, and in the real scheme of things, no matter what you have to be grateful,” Francis continued.

Astro later thanked his fans via Twitter and tried to explain his antics. “Politics!! don’t be fooled by what you don’t know!” Astro Tweeted. “Thank you AstroNauts for holding me down! Its funny how people are quick to judge not knowing whats going on behind the scenes. Maybe I should have given my Disney smile instead!”

Astro added, “I feel yall on that but I wasn’t talking about viewers when I said I don’t wanna perform. If you only knew what I know you’d say otherwise.”

Feeling a bit more calm this morning, Astro took to Twitter again. “I had a ‘fight the system’ moment last night. Sorry if i disappointed you guys. I WILL make you all proud next week!”
