NBC Releases “Goodbye” Preview Video Clip For Steve Carell’s Departure

VIDEO CLIP OF THE DAY.

Sadly, the end of The Office as we know it is fast approaching unless Craig Robinson’s campaign, “Steve Don’t Leave” is successful.  If not, which is likely the case, Steve Carell who perfectly portrays Michael Scott will leave the show at the end of this season.

Once I was able to wipe away my tears at the inevitability of this absolute horror, I watched the “goodbye” preview video clip below which NBC just released for Michael Scott and The Office. While watching it, I started crying even harder.

What’s gonna happen to Dunder Mifflin once Michael Scott is no longer around? Michael Scott once pondered about this possibility and asked out loud, “What happens to a company when they take its boss away?” He answered his own question with another question: “What happens to a chicken when you take his head away?” To which Michael answered himself, “It dies! Unless you find a new head!”  If you found this paragraph absolutely dumbfounding, then, in essence you get the enigma that is Michael Scott.

We will miss you so very much Michael Scott.

Watch the video below for the clip, starting at the 16:00 minute mark!

Rainn Wilson & Ferraby Lionheart Make Music Video Together [Video]

VIDEO CLIP OF THE DAY.

Rainn Wilson (Transformers: Revenge of the FallenJuno; The Rocker; The Office; Six Feet Under), makes his music video debut in his friend Ferraby Lionheart‘s music video, Harry and Bess.

The two met through their shared belief in The Baha’i Faith about a decade ago and have been great friends ever since. Wilson says of Ferraby to EW.com: “He had a band with his cousin who’s a good friend of mine called Telecast, and I used to go follow them. I’m just a big fan of his, his very unique vocal and song style. He reminds me of one of those old troubadours, like a strange ’20s lounge singer… Is that the wrong word? He’s just kind of from some other time.”

Amy Ryan Returns To The Office

BREAKING CELEBRITY NEWS.

We all know by now that Steve Carell is leaving The Office after this upcoming season. This departure will be a huge blow to the show as this show is extremely ensemble-cast-centric and I believe any changes will hurt the dynamics tremendously. But let’s hope I am wrong.

So, I’ve been thinking: The only thing that will make Carell’s  departure any less painful on loyal fans such as myself is if Carell’s character, Michael Scott, leaves Dunder Mifflin because he has finally found true love and pursues his heart somewhere outside of Scranton.
Well, looks like the show’s producers have read my mind and are bringing Amy Ryan back next season for eight episodes! Amy played Holly Flax, Michael Scott’s love interest in season 5 and gave the character Holly an openness and innocence which in turn exposed a new, more sensitive and sweet side of Michael Scott. Holly ended up breaking Michael’s heart when she transferred out of the state at the end of that season.
However, last season’s finale showed Jo (Kathy Bates) promising Michael that she would look into transferring Holly back to the Scranton branch. And looks like Jo has delivered on her promise! This is OMG! stuff–I can’t wait until the season premier in September, and can only hope that Holly and Michael end up together, happily ever after.

NBC’s Office Contest: “Meet The Cast”

CONTEST.
Marcus York is a wheel-chair bound actor who has a recurring part as business park manager, Billy Merchant on NBC’s The Office. Marcus was previously involved in a car accident which rendered him a paraplegic. That is why he also works for SCI Cure, a foundation striving to help those afflicted by spinal chord injury and get them “out of their wheelchairs as quickly as possible.”

SCI Cure needs money to help in researching a cure. How do they intend on raising money? They are asking you to donate $1 towards the cause. That $1 could also win you and a friend an all-inclusive trip to Los Angeles for a taping of The Office Oh ya, that means, airfare and a two-night hotel stay for you and a guest, transportation to the studio, and a meet-and-greet with cast members …all for a dollar.

And as reported earlier, this upcoming season will be Steve Carell’s last season on the show, so, this will be the last chance for meeting him on the set.  “The winner can expect to meet a cast and crew that are probably some of the friendliest people in Hollywood,” York tells PopEater. “And it would certainly assist in bringing in the funding to help the millions of paralyzed individuals worldwide.

Steve Carell Leaving The Office

BREAKING CELEBRITY NEWS.

Steve Carell has just confirmed that he is leaving his  role on NBC’s The Office after next season.
Steve says:

“I just think it’s time. I want to fulfill my contract. When I first signed on I had a contract for seven seasons, and this coming year is my seventh. I just thought it was time for my character to go.  It doesn’t certainly mean the end of the show. I think it’s just a dynamic change to the show, which could be a good thing, actually. Add some new life and some new energy…I see it as a positive in general for the show. I didn’t see it as a huge thing and I certainly didn’t anticipate any sort of hubbub over it. I’m just not going to extend my contract, but I didn’t see it as a huge deal. And the show is great, and the ensemble is so strong, and the writers are great, so it’s just one part of that ensemble drifting off. They’ve incorporated so many new characters and so many new, great storylines that I have no doubt it’ll continue as strong if not stronger than ever.”

My Two Cents Worth: I think The Office has the best ensemble cast on TV. However, I just can’t imagine Dunder Mifflin without Michael Scott! It’s the same thing with American Idol; I just can’t imagine American Idol without Simon Cowell. I am hoping that I am wrong, but I just think both shows will tank given the respective blows to each cast.
