Matthew McConaughey covers the September 2012 issue of Nylon GuysThe 42-year old actor explained in the interview with the mag why stopped filming romantic comedies like The Wedding Planner and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days: 

“On those romantic comedies, I’m going, ‘How do I keep the balls on the dude?’ They’ve written it so you have to come back emasculated and go, ‘I’ve been no one without you. I was lost for all my life but now I found you—take me back.’ And my deal was always, ‘What f–king chick wants that guy?’ C’mon, man, the guy’s gotta come back with dignity. So I said, ‘Let’s just hold out here. I’m going to wait until something really scares me, turns me on.’ And something happened…that allowed me to attract some things I was looking for, to where all of a sudden I was a really good idea for everyone.” Continue reading

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves got married Saturday without any of us knowing. People Magazine however is the lucky outlet with the first photos of their wedding.

The duo tied the knot in  McConaughey’s home state of Texas and celeb guests in attendance at the 120-person wedding party were Reese Witherspoon, Kenny Chesney and Woody Harrelson. The couple’s son Levi and daughter Vida served as ring bearer and flower girl. Continue reading

Matthew McConaughey Is Engaged !

AW the spirit of the Holidays…Actor Matthew McConaughey just announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend, Brazilian model Camila Alves.

“Just asked camila to marry me,” McConaughey said on his WhoSay account, posting this adorable pic. “Merry Christmas,” he added.

The Lincoln Lawyer star (42) and model (29) first met in 2006 and have two children together: three-year-old son Levi and 23-month old daughter Vida.
Congrats to the happy couple.

Javier Bardem, Matthew McConaughey & Helen Mirren Added As Oscar Presenters

Beverly Hills, CA – Academy Award-winning actor Javier Bardem will be a presenter at the 83rd Academy Awards.
Bardem, who took home the Oscar in 2007 for his supporting performance in No Country for Old Men, received his third Academy Award nomination this year for his leading role in Biutiful.  
He received his first nomination in 2000 for his lead performance in Before Night Falls.  His other film credits include The Dancer Upstairs, The Sea Inside, Love in the Time of Cholera, Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Eat Pray Love.
Also announced today as presenters are Helen Mirren and Matthew McConaughey.
Mirren is a four-time Academy-nominated actress and took the Oscar home once for her leading performance in The QueenMcConaughey will be seen next in The Lincoln Lawyer and Killer Joe.  His other film credits include A Time to Kill, Amistad, Ed TV, The Wedding Planner, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Tropic Thunder.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2010 will be presented on Sunday, February 27, 2011, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, and televised live on the ABC Television Network.  The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 200 countries worldwide.
