Mariah Carey is still the only confirmed judge on the American Idol judges table for one!
Katy Perry who was “hotly pursued” by the Fox hit show is now reported by TMZ for having turned down a $20 million offer to judge the show.
How could Perry turn down such a seemingly lucrative opportunity? In July, the singer told The Hollywood Reporter: “People have reached out to me about the possibility of being involved, and it’s not right for me yet.” Insiders also blame Perry’s busy schedule in addition to her belief that it simply not a good career decision as the reasons for the rejection of the offer.
Mariah Carey may be really busy soon as an American Idol judge, but for now, the singer is taking a backseat to the spotlight and just chillin’ with her twin babies.
