Lindsay Lohan Must Serve More Jail Time

Lindsay Lohan‘s luck finally ran out and she is heading to jail again. The troubled actress appeared in court today in front of Judge Stephanie Sautner who sentenced her to 30 days behind bars for repeatedly violating her probation.

Hoping for mercy, Lohan admitted that she in fact violated her probation by not attending therapy and getting kicked out of community service at the Downtown Women’s Center.

But the judge would not hear it and imposed the jail sentence. Lindsay must turn herself in to begin the sentence within one week, by Nov. 9. She will not be eligible for house arrest, electronic monitoring or any early release though the Sheriff’s Dept. admits due to overcrowding, Lindsay may just serve about six days.

Lindsay must also put in another 30 full days at the county morgue between the time she is released from jail and March or she will end up with additional jail time.

Lindsay Lohan got herself a brand new set of teeth and she looks awesome.

A short time ago, paparazzi went crazy taking pics of her brown rotting teeth, so, what’s a young girl in the spotlight gonna do but get herself a new grill.

Lindsay Tweeted the photo above of her new pearly whites with the following caption: “Thanks Dr. Dorfman for the zoom. My gums are so sore though!”

Judge Revokes Lindsay Lohan’s Probation

“Probation is a gift, it’s not a right.”

And with those simple words, Judge Stephanie Sautner revoked Lindsay Lohan‘s probation on Wednesday, reprimanding her for getting purposely kicked out of the Downtown Women’s Shelter in Los Angeles where she was court-ordered to perform community service.

“Miss Lohan’s actions made it deliberately impossible for her to perform her services at the Downtown women’s center,” the judge explained, adding that Lindsay has been “looking a gift horse in the mouth.”

The prosecutors took advantage of this situation and asked Judge Sautner to impose jail time.

Lohan’s attorney, Shawn Holley, tried to convince the judge that Lindsay was working to support her family and that is why she was unable to perform much of the community service and added that she could not do community service when she was under house arrest.

The judge would not buy it. “My order was made six months ago. You’re prasing her for doing twelve hours in six months.”  Judge Sautner added: “She’s supposed to be an actress from what I hear. I don’t know how much acting she’s doing.”

Sautner then read the probation report, saying “She wasn’t interacting with anyone. She said the service was ‘not fulfilling.’ Her words. Is that what a sentence is about? Or is it supposed to be rehabilitative and punitive?”
Holley tried to pull the celebrity card, arguing that Lindsay’s fame has led to rallying cries for her to go to jail.

“I don’t care about rallying cries,” the judge said. And with that, she revoked Lohan’s probation and set bail at  at $100,000. Since Lindsay was there with a bondsman, ready to post bail, Sautner said Lindsay will have to complete a minimum of 16 hours at the morgue in the next week.

Lohan will have to appear in court again November 2 for a hearing over her revoked probation.

Lindsay Lohan Sentenced To 120 Days In Jail – But Not For The Crime You’d Think (PHOTOS)

At a preliminary hearing held Friday April 22Lindsay Lohan caught a break on the pending necklace theft charge against her but had the book thrown at her for violation of her probation stemming from her 2007 DUI.

Judge Stephanie Sautner reduced the theft charge from a felony to a misdemeanor, which although a less serious offense, could still carry a jail term of up to one year. Lindsay will have a chance to go to trial to prove her innocence.

On the probation violation, Lindsay was spanked with a sentence of 120 days in county jail and 480 hours of community service. 360 of those hours must be spent at the Downtown Women’s Center and 120 hours at the L.A. County morgue.

Lohan immediately appealed the ruling and was allowed to post a $75,000 bail to stay free pending appeal.

Per TMZ, the arrest came after Michael’s girlfriend filed a report with the Sheriff’s Department claiming that the couple got into an argument which eventually turned physical. The girlfriend is reported to have had visible marks on her from the alleged altercation.

TMZ also reports that police first took Michael to a hospital for a check up on an unrelated medical condition but once released from the hospital he would be taken to the station to be booked.

Jail or Trial? Lucky Lindsay Lohan Gets More Time to Decide

March 10, 2011, Airport Courthouse, Los Angeles, CA. Lindsay Lohan was back in court today in what everyone hoped would be some resolution on whether Lohan would be tried for grand theft and violation of her probation. My dear friend and legal expert, Mitra Ahouraian, Esq. was in the courtroom and has every detail of the scoop for you!
What was on the table was a deal the judge had offered Lohan in confidence back in February—one that would involve jail time, should Lohan decide to take it.
What the dozens of cameramen and news vans outside did not know was that the judge had met with Lindsay’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, and the D.A. yesterday in chambers, where Holley had asked for a continuance of the hearing.  Judge Keith Schwartz partially denied the motion for a continuance today, and made the following ruling:
  1)      Lohan would have until March 23rd to decide whether to take the settlement offer in the grand theft case.  Ms. Holley will notify the court on March 23 whether Lohan will be accepting the offer, in which case Lohan will have to appear in court on March 25th.  If Lohan decides not to accept the settlement offer, then Judge Schwartz explained, she will not have to appear at the March 25th hearing date, and that date will be set aside.
2)      A preliminary hearing date for the grand theft case was set for April 22nd, 2011 before Judge Sautner.  Two important things will happen at this hearing: First, Judge Sautner will decide whether there is sufficient cause (i.e., enough evidence) to go to trial on the grand theft case, where Lohan is accused of stealing the $2,500 necklace.  The second thing that will happen is the judge will rule on whether Lohan violated her probation on her prior drug case.
So, it looks like Lohan has some thinking to do, and has a couple weeks more time to do it.  She has to decide whether to take a plea bargain that Judge Schwartz has already indicated will involve some jail time….or take her chances at the April 22nd hearing in front of Judge Sautner, where, if she is found to have violated her probation, bail will be remanded and she will be probably be taken to jail anyway.  Either way…Lilo will likely go to jail, following in the footsteps of Paris Hilton and many before her.  The only question is, for how long, and on what charges?
Chapman-Holley is likely using this additional time to strategize and determine Lohan’s chances of success at the April 22nd hearing—which may look better now that the store where Lohan allegedly stole the necklace from is rumored to have sold their story for $25,000.  Selling the story undoubtedly calls into question the credibility of the store’s accusations, and weakens the D.A.’s case significantly.
The morning didn’t start off well for Lohan.  While dozens of news vans and camera men anxiously awaited Linday’s arrival, Judge Keith Schwartz asked Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, where her client was. Lohan finally arrived over half an hour late. Surprisingly, Judge Schwartz did not admonish her for her tardiness.
Legally speaking, not much happened today, and unfortunately, we won’t know more until March 25th, when Lohan may or may not show up before Judge Schwartz to accept the settlement offer. Judge Schwartz did spend 2-3 minutes of what was a very short hearing today, commenting on the confidentiality of the case, and sarcastically commending reporters like TMZ for their CIA-like skills in obtaining confidential information pertaining to the case—including the terms of the settlement offer.  It is likely that any future documents will be filed under seal and inaccessible to the public.
Lohan appeared wearing a tight-fitting cream dress, similar to the white ensemble she was criticized for wearing to the last hearing.  This time, she did have the sense to wear black tights underneath, showing less skin but still not quite grasping the concept of conservatism.

Lindsay Lohan Gets A Break – Jeweler Sells Store Surveillance Video Tape To Highest Bidder

OH BOY! Kamofie & Co., the “victim” in the alleged Lindsay Lohan jewelry heist just made a ton-o-loot selling the store surveillance video of Lindsay’s shopping trip to Entertainment Tonight for a whopping $35,000!

“The tape was sold in the U.S. and abroad,” a source told Radaronline.com. “The jewelry store wanted a bidding war to maximize profits. They chopped up the sale to different outlets to make as much money as possible,” the source continued.

This transaction would not be that big a deal if that video tape was not the key piece of evidence in the felony grand theft case against Lohan. The selling of the tape probably is good news for the Lohan defense team because the act may make it appear that the “victim” here was looking to make money off of this whole incident, bolstering the defense’s claim that Lohan was set up.

David Letterman: “We Were Duped!”

VIDEO CLIP OF THE DAY.

OH OH! Did David Letterman get duped? It seems that way….

On Tuesday, CBS’s The Late Show with David Letterman announced that Lindsay Lohan would be a guest on the show Thursday to read the “Top Ten List” via satellite. Of course this news spread like wildfire until Lohan herself denied the upcoming appearance via Twitter.

Lohan wrote: “I am NOT going to be doing David Letterman. I’m not sure how this happened, but I am sorry for the confusion….”

On Wednesday night’s Late Show, Letterman gave his side of the story with a big old apology. He said that after he joked about Lindsay stealing a Grammy on one of last week’s shows, in reference to her court case over a stolen necklace, he received a call from a “guy” who told him, “Lindsay thought the joke was hilarious.” And the same mysterious “guy” (who we all have been told is Lindsey’s father, Michael) said to Letterman that Lindsay wanted to be on his show.

And it was based on that telephone exchange that Letterman asked the show’s publicity department to release the news via an official statement, which they did. Letterman adds, “But then Lindsay Lohan says, ‘Oh, I don’t know, none of that is happening, I don’t know what’s going on. It’s not true.'”

“So it turns out we were duped.” letterman admits. “And I have no one to blame but myself, and boy, is my face red!”
