SPOTTED: Eddie Cibrian & LeAnne Rimes, A Lil Shopping, A Lil Interviewing (Photos)

SPOTTED: Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes at The Grove in Los Angeles September 20, 2011.  Eddie was there for an interview with Mario Lopez of Extra and LeAnn used the time to go shopping solo at Splendid, picking out clothes for her stepchildren Mason and Jake, while hubby and Mario were talking!

Eddie did an interview afterwards at The Playboy Mansion and LeAnn Tweeted: “Going to work w/ my love this morning. Gonna stand on the side lines & watch him do two interviews…..one at the Playboy Mansion!”

Eddie is busy promoting his new show, The Playboy Club, which premiered on NBC this week. The series revolves around Cibrian’s character named Nick Dalton, a lawyer who gets wrapped up in the drama that comes along with the club.  He’ll next star in Tyler Perry’s film, Good Deeds

LeAnn, on the other hand, was just announced to perform at a live acoustic concert to benefit STANDUP FOR KIDS on Thursday, October 20 at 8pm at the Riot Act Comedy Club in Washington D.C.

LeAnn Rimes Is Engaged To Eddie Cibrian

This time, it’s for real y’all. LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are betrothed. False reports of the couple’s engagement flooded the internet earlier this year, but this time, it’s legit.

LeAnn’s rep confirmed: “Yes, they were engaged over the holidays and are very happy. Family and close friends in town helped them celebrate.”

LeAnn Rimes TwitPics Santa Pics

LeAnn Rimes is in the Christmas spirit and she is showing it by Tweeting sexy pics of herself over the weekend, dressed in a santa suit.

On Sunday morning, before tweeting pictures of herself, Rimes Tweeted, “Happy Sunday! Only 6 days til Christmas! Which means, only 9 days til sun and beach!!! Too much fun overload!!”

Then, she tweeted the picture to the left and the single one of herself below with this caption: “Mrs. Clause at your service … LOL.”

Shortly later, she tweeted yet another pic, this time rocking the same getup but engulfed this time by a hoard of elves.  This time, the caption read, “Santa’s Elves and Me!”

Today she tweeted, “Happy Monday! Not just any Monday though, Christmas week Monday!!!”
Maybe more pics will follow soon….

Santa’s Elves and Me!!

LeAnn Rimes Tweets About Shape Magazine Controversy

Yesterday, the editor-in-chief of Shape magazine called its October issue cover with LeAnn Rimes “a terrible mistake.” The editor sent an email to some Shape readers who had complained about the choice of LeAnn for the cover, apologizing for the choice.

Today, LeAnn Rimes struck back via Twitter: “Just so all my fans know, I’m getting to the bottom of this. It’s the first I’ve heard of this. Shape is throwing me a party next week as a thank you and a congrats for being on their cover for the third time. I find this very contradictory.”
Later on in the day, Rimes Tweeted a link to a brand new statement from Shape editor-in-chief, Valerie Latona, who seems to be backtracking now. The editor now says her “personal letter” to readers in which she called LeAnn a “husband stealer” was taken out of context. She says that only 40 out of 6 million subscribers complained about the Rimes cover but she wanted to send a  note to those unhappy with the cover.

“I don’t want anyone to be unhappy–so I took the time to write a personal note to them, apologizing for not having someone on the cover they wanted to see and hoping to do right by them the next time. (I do this many times for all cover stars and you really can’t ever please everyone all the time,)” she wrote.

Latona continues to stand behind her decision to use Rimes on the cover: “The bottom line is this: I stand by the fact that LeAnn’s story is compelling–and her courage and strength in the face of so much adversity is compelling. That is why I put her on the cover of Shape for what is now the third time.”

Readers Are Upset By Choice of LeAnn Rimes On Cover Of Shape Magazine; Editor Apologizes

LeAnn Rimes looked physically terrific on the cover of Shape magazine but her healthy, fit body was not enough to deter Shape‘s readers from sending in emails to Shape voicing their discontent on the decision to put Rimes on the magazine’s October cover.

Per Too Fab, Shape’s editor-in-chief sent an email to the readers who sent in hate mail about the cover to apologize for the cover choice and called the cover a “terrible mistake.”

Apparently, Shape readers were not happy that someone who has admitted to cheating on her ex-husband (Dean Sheremet with then-married CSI actor Eddie Cibrian) was being praised on the magazine’s cover. They also seem to not have liked the sympathetic tone of the caption: “LeAnn Rimes: How Working Out Saved Me.”

TooFab obtained the email signed by the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Valerie Latona which was sent to the disgruntled readers. The email reads in part:

Please know that our putting [LeAnn Rimes] on the cover was not meant to put a husband-stealer on a pedestal-but to show (through her story) how we all are human. And this woman in particular found strength in exercise in what she said was her most difficult personal moment.

But it did not come across that way … And for that I’m terribly sorry.

Wow: “husband-stealer.” The email doesn’t mince words, does it?
