Selena Gomez: “Lighten Up Media, I’m Only 19!”

Selena Gomez shows off her peachy pout in the September 2011 Glamour magazine which has lady Rihanna on the cover.

In the interview, Selena reminds us that she is only 19 years old and asks the media to take it easy on her, especially when it comes to dating an even more famous teen, Justin Bieber. “I feel like everything that I’m doing right now should not be taken too seriously,” Selena told the mag. “I should be able to have fun and enjoy where I’m at! So I don’t want to spend my time hiding or worrying about all of that.”

Here are ome excerpts from the interview:
On living with the rejection of showbiz:
“When I was 11 years old, I had a grown woman who was a casting director tell me I was not strong enough to carry the lead in any project. Now I’m doing things that I love, and I’m working really hard. I never want to play the victim or anything, but of course everybody deals with it.”

On Facebook and Twitter Fans:

“I love that I can stay connected with my fans and be able to tell them what’s going on. Their opinions are so important to me. But at the same time, it’s very weird. I think the Internet can be a great thing but also really evil. Something can instantly hurt your feelings.”

On being threatened online by Justin Bieber fans:
“Yeah, I’m human, so of course certain things sometimes hurt. I just laugh at it.”

On being young in Hollywood:
“You have this pressure to fit in and you want people to like you. I try my best to be a good person and be the best I can be.”

2011 Teen Choice Awards Winners – See Who Stacked Up The Surfboards

The Twilight crew of Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz fared well as usual at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards held Sunday August 8 at Universal City’s Gibson Amphitheater.

The awards show was hosted by The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco and winners were selected by the public via online voting.

Taylor Swift was the evening’s biggest winner, taking home six, count ’em six, surfboard trophies.

Selena Gomez took home five surfboards, including one for Choice Female Hottie while her beau Justin Bieber took home three prizes including one for Choice Male Hottie. Matching Hottie award surfboards, how adorable, I know.

Cameron Diaz, Ellen DeGeneres, Ed Helms, and Ashton Kutcher were some of the adult winners of the night. And Kutcher took time to lecture his teen colleagues and fans during his acceptance speech for Choice Movie Actor Romantic Comedy by saying, “Don’t charge anything on a credit card if you don’t already have money in the bank to pay for it.” He then he broke into a rendition of Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream.

PHOTO: Justin Bieber & Dad Get Matching Tattoos

Justin Bieber‘s father, Jeremy Bieber, decided it’s cool to get inked along with his son. So the two got matching tattoos.

Bieber and dad went under the tat needle in Israel and ended up with the word  “Yeshua,” Hebrew for “Jesus,” tattooed vertically on their left torsos.
Dad Tweeted this pic for us all to see…

Scoot Braun, Bieber’s manager, has previously said that Justin, who is Christian, says prayers in English and Hebrew before going onstage.

Justin Bieber’s Perfume Sales Hit #1; So, Biebs Taking Time To “Rest, Grow Up, & Pray!”

Justin Bieber recently became the first (non-fashion designer) male celebrity to release a woman’s perfume, Someday.

And just like his women’s nail polish selling out at Walmart stores all across America last year, Someday is on track to become the biggest fragrance launch ever, with sales topping $30 million (The Hollywood Reporter)
The perfume is so successful in fact that according to Give Back Brands, the scent’s manufacturer, some of its partner retailers, including Sephora, Macy’s and Lord & Taylor, are finding it hard to keep Someday in stock.

Good news for others not named “Bieber” is that a portion of the proceeds will benefit two of the Bieb’s fave charities: Pencils of Promise, founded by Adam Braun (brother of Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun) and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
All this success makes a teen want to rest up and pray. Literally. “I’ve been working so hard, I’m taking a month off,” Bieber told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s been great to just think and enjoy hanging out with my friends. I’m still growing up, and when you’re working every day, you don’t really get a chance to figure out who you are. So with the time off, I’m able to think, pray and just kind of grow up.”

Justin Bieber’s Vanity Fair Cover Bombs In Sales

Everyone LOVES Justin Bieber… EVERYONE. Well, except readers of Vanity Fair.

Women’s Wear Daily reports that Vanity Fair‘s February issue with The Biebs on its cover is the worst-selling issue for the mag in 12 years!! And if that weren’t bad enough, it is one of the top three worst sellers for the magazine since Graydon Carter took over as editor in chief in 1992.
The February issue, featuring the 17-year old teen heartthrob on the cover, has sold a mere 246,000 copies since its release.
But mag publicists should take note that a Bieber cover has been bad news for other mags as well: Biebs’ October 2010 Teen Vogue cover, a publication arguably more suited to Bieber’s fan base, sold 121,054 issues, roughly 12 percent below Teen Vogue’s 2010 average. Bieber’s April 2010, People cover sold 961,762 copies, a 25 percent dip below average sales and  the third worst seller for the weekly all of last year.
I am sure this news is sending shock waves in the Bieber PR camp.

Javier Colon Owes A Big ‘Thank You’ To Justin Bieber For The Win!

Javier Colon was named the first ever winner of The Voice Wednesday night but he still can’t believe it’s for real.

Colon told Celebuzz in a post-win interview that he thought he had lost and was ready to congratulate co-finalist Dia Frampton when Carson Daly announced his name instead.

That’s fascinating considering his amazing talent, his favored status since day one, and his captivating stage presence, all of which was only amplified by the fact that Justin Bieber Tweeted to his then 10.6 million followers several times to vote for Colon in The Voice finale.

And if that weren’t enough, Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, also got behind the Twitter campaign and asked his almost 900K fans to do the same.

Despite such massive and unparalleled support for any of the other three finalists, Colon wasn’t convinced he’d win. “I was 100 percent in my mind, I was ready and prepared for Carson to say, ‘And the winner of The Voice is Dia Frampton.’ I was going to be okay with that because I absolutely love Dia. She is amazing and deserved a win as much as we all did,” Colon told Celebuzz.

OK, so, the win was unexpected for Colon, but, now, back to the possible game-changing Bieber plug–remember, only 2% of the votes separated Colon and runner-up Frampton. Did Colon know he would get the support of the second most popular celeb on Twitter before the finale? “Not at all,” Colon told Celebuzz. “Adam had played basketball with Justin at one point and knew his manager Scooter Braun, so they both tweeted out to their millions of followers to vote for me. Not sure if it was Adam’s connection to Justin or what, but he put his support behind me, and it meant a lot.”

Read the rest of Javier’s interview on Celebuzz where he talks about a collaboration with Adam Levine and Cee-Lo Green, his upcoming album and what he thinks of Dia.
What do you think of Bieber’s support? Was that cool or did it give Javier an unfair advantage over the other contestants? Did it end up being the difference in who won or do you think Javier would have won anyway? Should Javier send a “thank you gift basket” to Biber?

VIDEO CLIP OF THE DAY: Selena Gomez Runs Away Upon Meeting Shia LaBeouf

VIDEO CLIP OF THE DAY.

Here is a cute story of a celeb getting all starry eyed and red-cheeked when meeting another celeb.

In the video clip below, Selena Gomez is tricked into meeting her celebrity crush, Shia LaBeouf.
“Oh my gosh,” Gomez shrieks and runs out of LaBeouf’s dressing room when she realizes she was dooped into believing she was instead meeting with a fan. “I admire you. Very nice to meet you.'”
Gomez tells her tricksters: “You guys suck. You used my fans as bait. Oh my god, he’s so handsome.”
Justin Bieber, you better watch out – any man with a French last name is definitely stiff competition.

Justin Bieber Kisses Selena Gomez (Photo)

At approximately 9:40 PM EST May 22, 2011, millions of teenage girls’ little hearts simultaneously broke when Justin Bieber planted a big kiss on Selena Gomez at the Billboard Music Awards.

Following Bieber’s win for Top New Artist, he got up and so did his “friend” Selena and then there was the kiss heard around the world:
Adorable, I know…but the two can no longer deny being one of the “It” Hollywood couples any longer..
