Jennifer Lopez: “We Saved Casey Abrams Because…”

When American Idol judges used their one save of the season on Casey Abrams, Abrams was mystified and asked them, “It’s top 11, why would you do that?!” Well, Jennifer Lopez provided an answer to Abram’s question on Ryan Seacrest‘s radio show Wednesday.

“[Casey] is one of our most dynamic performers. He’s so interesting and so talented.” Lopez continued: “We knew that it was kind of a radical decision because it was so early in the season, but to be quite honest, that is one decision that I haven’t lost one ounce of sleep over!”

The problem with using the one save of the season is that the full decision of who will be crowned our Idol winner will lie in our collective hands.

And well, America, we haven’t always been right. Or even close to right. Do the names Jennifer Hudson and Chris Daughtry and what we did to them shake your nerves..even just a little bit?

Lopez is not worried. “I really feel we put 11 amazing contestants in front of them, and now it’s [about] who their favorite is, who’s going to be their American Idol. I didn’t realize I was going to fall in love with the contestants the way I have and feel for them the way I do.”

OK fans, let’s do this. Let’s get this right starting tonight….

Jennifer Hudson Wants To Be A Patient Loving Mom

Jennifer Hudson has come a long way since her days on American Idol in 2004. She’s since become a mother, worked herself into a brand new svelte figure and has won a Grammy, Golden Globe and even an Oscar.

She now graces April issue of Essence, and inside talks about all of her latest achievements.

Here are some highlights from the interview:

On motherhood:
“My wish is to be at least half as good as my mother was, as patient and as loving as she was, and to just give that to my son.”
On her skinnier healthier body:
“I didn’t realize that so many people were watching me or that so many people were interested. Now people come up to me saying, ‘You’ve inspired me,’ and I’m like, Wow.”

On playing Winnie Mandela:

“We were supposed to shoot the film two years ago. But with all that happened in my life, they waited. Even the director was saying, ‘For you to take this project on with everything that happened shows you are really passionate about it.’ So I just hopped into it. I just really wanted to be a part of telling the story.”
