Believe It Or Not, Audrina Patridge Is Even Prettier In Person Than She Looks In This Bongo Ad

Bongo renewed its contract with former star of The Hills and Dancing With the Stars contestant, Audrina Patridge and Patridge could not be happier!

“I am thrilled for my second season as the Bongo girl! It has been a wonderful partnership, and I really love the product,” she said.

Patridge also could not look any hotter than she does in the ads.

Except, I have met this woman in person and I tell you, she is actually even prettier in person than in print or on TV. It’s just ridiculous how attractive she is. Click here for pics/videos of Audrina from the time I met her.

The national Bongo campaign will debut this March in magazines and will be available exclusively at Sears and Kmart beginning this Spring.

Three-Time Champ Derek Hough Leaves “Dancing With The Stars”

Three-time Dancing with the Stars‘ champion Derek Hough (Pictured here with me) will not be back on the show next season when it returns in March.

The dancer’s rep says he’ll be “taking off” Season 12 of the hit ABC series to shoot the feature film Cobu 3D opposite Korean pop star BoA.

Hough himself told People, “People will see a much edgier side of me and these other styles of dance I’m capable of doing. I will be making it back to Dancing with the Stars in the fall.”

He continued: “I’m just taking a little break and taking this chance to grow and expand a little bit as an artist. It’s like I told one of the producers on the show – I’ll come back with a whole new set of skills.”

This is good news for the other dancers on DWTS who will now have a chance at the mirrorball trophy after Hough’s three-year-in-a-row domination.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy Is The New Bachelor — In Ukraine

Sexy Dancing With the Stars pro, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, is expanding his hotness wingspan from the reality dance floor to the reality dating scene by starring on the Ukrainian version of The Bachelor.

Chmerkovskiy, a native Ukrainian, announced on his website that he had refused an offer to star in the American/ABC’s The Bachelor but has now decided to do the Ukrainian version. He states, “This is the first thing in a VERY LONG TIME that I’m doing for ME. For the first time, I don’t really care what people think. First time that I’m not being ‘judged’, ‘placed’ or ‘criticized.'”

Maksim is pictured here with former DWTS contestants Erin Andrews and Stacy Keibler

Apparently Chmerkovskiy went to Ukraine in late November, right after Dancing With the Stars‘ latest season ended, and filmed the dating show for four to six weeks. Chmerkovskiy continues on his website, “There has never been a show such as this in Ukraine, and it makes me think that a first season would be the most ‘real’ as far as participant’s perception of ‘what its all about’….I know it’s hard to find someone you can connect to on a project like this, but nothing is impossible. For the sake of the show I can’t reveal anything, but I must say I am very pleasantly surprised so far.”

Dancing With The Stars’ Mark Ballas Is A Triple Threat – Video Interview

You know Mark Ballas best as a two-time champion on Dancing with the Stars and as the dance instructor and partner who helped Bristol Palin catapult to the final three on this year’s DWTS season.

But what only a few people know for now is that Ballas is what you call a triple threat: He’s a dance champion, a sultry singer and boy, he really knows how to kick ass on the guitar!
While DWTS is on hiatus, Ballas has been busy in the recording studio, working on his upcoming album, HurtLoveBox.  He let ET into the studio and you can watch ET’s video interview below.
Why the title, HurtLoveBox? Ballas tells ET: “Since I was a kid, I’ve always kept my memories in boxes, so for me, all the songs I’ve written on this record are things that I’ve been through. Whether it’s being happy and in love, or going through a great time, or whether you’re hurt or you lost somebody in a relationship that didn’t end up so good. … That’s where I came up with HurtLoveBox.”
The album is produced by an old friend of mine, Rich Stine, who himself is an amazing guitarist and musician. Before becoming a producer, Stine spent the better part of his 20s in the back of a tour bus clocking nearly 200 shows a year and supporting bands like The Strokes, Apples in Stereo, (my fave) Fighting Gravity and Jason Mraz. He now pours all that experience into producing music for many well known acts.

The first single will be released January 4 and the full album itself drops February 22.

Bristol Palin Writes Open Letter To Margaret Cho: “My Mom Did Not ‘Force’ Me To Do DWTS”

They say, “Don’t Mess with Texas.” But I think these days the more appropriate saying should be, “Don’t Mess with Alaska!” More specifically, it should be, “don’t mess with Bristol Palin” because she will not hesitate before firing right back at ya!

First, Bristol slung pellets at another teenage boy on Facebook who made fun of Sarah Palin’s show, Alaska. Then, she blasted Keith Olbermann for naming her the “Worst Person in the World,” by saying what Olbermann “lacks in originality he makes up for with insincere incredulity.”

Now, Bristol has aimed her focus on comedian and fellow Dancing with the Stars cast member, Margaret Cho.  In a recent note posted on her own blog called “Pistol Whipped,” Cho wrote, “I heard from someone who really should know (really should seriously know the dirt really really) that the only reason Bristol was on the show was because Sarah Palin forced her to do it.”

Cho continued, “Sarah supposedly blames Bristol harshly and openly (in the circles that I heard it from) for not winning the election, and so she told Bristol she ‘owed’ it to her to do DWTS so that ‘America would fall in love with her again’ and make it possible for Sarah Palin to run in 2012 with America behind her all the way. Instead of being supposedly ‘handicapped’ by the presence of her teen mom daughter, now Bristol is going to be an ‘asset’ – a celebrity beloved for her dancing. I am sure the show wasn’t in on this (but who knows anything really).”
Cho’s blog post obviously did not sit well with Bristol who posted a long open letter to Cho on her Facebook page, interestingly enough, coded, “CHA-CHA-CHA to CHO-CHO-CHO–HERE’S A HINT: THREE DOG NIGHT.”
In the letter, Bristol writes, “I have explained my own motivations for accepting the invitation to dance, which included the simple fact that I was ready to get out of my comfort zone and try something new and challenging. I thought dancing would also be a great way to exercise–and it was. I thought it would boost my confidence–and it did. Notably absent from this calculus were political considerations. You want to talk politics, talk to my mom. You want to talk rumba, waltz and the beautiful Spanish paso doble, I’m your girl (but if you want to talk to the expert, call Mark [Ballas]).”

Bristol continues:

“I will give my friend credit for creativity, and extra points for getting so many ‘facts’ wrong in so few sentences. Let me be blunt: my mom did not ‘force’ me to go on DWTS. She did not ask me either. The show approached me. I thought about it. I made the decision….There you have it. Why do I want to set the record straight? Because it is this type of hurtful and false narrative that people promote to make my mom look bad. For 20 years my mom had my back–and for the rest of my life I will have hers…To my friend Margaret Cho, if you ever have a question, call me girlfriend. Don’t ever rely on ‘sources’ who claim to know me or my family. You will be taken every time. And we need to talk. You say you ‘don’t agree with the family’s politics at all’ but I say, if you understood that commonsense conservative values supports the right of individuals like you, like all of us, to live our lives with less government interference and more independence, you would embrace us faster than KD Lang at an Indigo Girls concert.”

There you have it. But what did poor KD Lang have to do with all this?!

So, what does Cho think of Bristol’s letter? Here is what Cho sent in response via Twitter:

Jennifer Grey To Have Surgery For An Injury Sustained While Competing On Dancing With The Stars

Jennifer Grey was ecstatic to have won the mirror-ball trophy on Season 11 of Dancing with the Stars, but she will pay a high price for the win!

The champ has revealed that she will undergo surgery very soon for an injury she sustained during rehearsals for the last competition episode of the show.

“I ruptured a disc, and I’m gonna go home today and I’m probably gonna have surgery this week or sometime next week,” Grey told Access Hollywood.
Grey seems to take this all in stride and admits the adrenaline of the show helped with the pain she endured all season long. “I gotta tell you, the win and the experience of doing–more the experience of doing ‘Dancing with the Stars’–already, like I don’t even remember the pain I was in a week ago,” she said. “I just have some discomfort in back that needs to be taken care of. OK, it’s a little more than discomfort.”

SPOILER ALERT:  Do not read on if you do not want to know who won this year’s competition!

Dancing With The Stars Recap: The Show Went On Despite A Pre-Finale Week Filled With Drama And Death Threats

It was a strange seven days indeed leading up to the Dancing with the Stars finale Monday night.

First, a man in Wisconsin shot his TV while watching Bristol Palin perform last Monday night because he did not think Bristol belongs on DWTS.

Then, Bristol took to Facebook to apologize for her earlier rant against a teen who had voiced his disapproval for Sarah Palin’s reality show, Alaska.

Finally, Bristol and Mark Ballas apparently received death threats over the weekend, including delivery of a suspicious white powder-filled envelope to the DWTS studio, addressed to Bristol. After the studio was evacuated, it was thankfully determined that the powder was just talcum powder and nothing lethal.

But come this Monday night, it was business as usual despite tightened security as the remaining three dancers, Bristol, Kyle Massey and Jennifer Grey took to the dance floor and performed two final dances each to determine the winner of the mirror-ball trophy.

The first dance of the night was a “Redemption Dance” for each contestant: A dance style which each contestant had previously danced on the show but which the judges felt the contestants could have each danced better. The second dance was the popular freestyle dance.

Here is what happened tonight:

Kyle Massey & Lacey Schwimmer
Kyle kicked off the night with a re-do of his fox-trot. The retry left Carrie Ann Inaba saying Kyle had not been his usual “outward” self and needed to focus on his footwork. Len Goodman on the other hand loved the dance and said: “Overall, you have gone from messy Massey to marvelous.” Bruno Tonioli declared: “Your technique has improved tremendously.” No matter the divergent opinions, all three judges gave Kyle a 9 each for a total of 27 points.

While rehearsing for the freestyle earlier in the week, Lacey put some extra pressure on Kyle by telling him, “Whoever wins the freestyle usually wins the competition.” But Kyle rose to the occasion.  Dressed like Will Smith from the opening credits of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, he was his usual charismatic, bouncy, expressive, adorable self.  He even performed the worm during his routine which had Carrie Ann oozing, “This old fly girl is very proud of you! You killed it!” Len said he didn’t get the “bugaloo dance” but still called it “great fun” and “great entertainment.” Bruno chimed in and said Kyle provided “truly explosive entertainment and amazing charisma.” No matter the great remarks, poor Kyle still narrowly missed getting his first and only 30 of the season despite scores of 10 each from Carrie Ann and Bruno. But Len who admitted earlier that he doesn’t quite get the “bugaloo dance” when referring to hip-hop, gave Kyle a 9. BOOHOO!

Bristol Palin & Mark Ballas
Bristol started her pre-dance film montage by complaining, “It sucks that people still don’t think I deserve to be here. People freaked out once we got saved and Brandy was eliminated.”  Bristol is right. I was in the audience for last Tuesday’s results show and you could cut the tension with a knife once the audience, judges and the other dancers found out Brandy and not Bristol was going home. Bristol went on, “I continue to improve week after week and people don’t acknowledge that.” Well, Bristol, obviously some people do acknowledge that and vote for you since you are still left in the competition despite getting the lowest scores from the judges week after week.

For her Redemption Dance, Bristol re-danced her jive, this time around sending the infamous gorilla suit she wore the first time packing, literally. During rehearsals for the jive, Bruno visited Bristol to help get the “wild child” out of her and said her last jive was, “a little a bit of a disaster because she couldn’t quite get the performance level and she went to pieces.”

After Bristol and Mark danced, Bruno said: “I told you you don’t need to go in a suit.” He continued, “You revealed yourself. You came out here and you had a good time and you didn’t care and we all enjoyed it.” Carrie Ann said, “You were brighter and more vibrant than ever!” Len said: “Last time, You were a gorilla, and now a thrilla”. The dance got Bristol three 9’s from the judges for a total of 27.

For the freestyle, Bristol danced to the iconic and sultry “Cell Block Tango” from the Broadway hit, Chicago. The dance was entertaining if for no other reason than to see Bristol dance in a cage. But was this dance of sufficient caliber for the finale? Bruno said: “You have improved but not quite at the level this song requires.” Carrie Ann lessened the blow and asked, “Did I just see Bristol Palin dancing in a cage? I give you a lot of credit for that.” Len finished by saying, “I know you were concerned it was gonna be a disaster. And let me tell you young lady. That was no disaster, I thought it was fantastic!” When it came time for the judges’ scores to be revealed, the crowd booed at the night’s lowest combined score of 25.

Jennifer Grey & Derek Hough
It’s really hard for me to remember a time when Jennifer Grey had a bad dance this season. But according to Carrie Ann, Jennifer was “all over the place” during her first attempt at the paso doble earlier this season; an attempt which landed Jennifer her lowest judges’ score of the season.

How well did Jennifer do on her retry? So well that Len gave her a standing ovation after saying, “I rarely do this!” Bruno dizzily spun into one romantic hyperbole after another using such words as “sultry”, “igniting the flames of passion” and “relentless pleasure” and “I don’t want this night to ever to end!” He even said later, “I wish I had an 11” as he held up the “10” score paddle.  Carrie Ann squealed: “THIS is the meaning of redemption. I am so proud of you!” Jennifer received a perfect 30 from the judges.

And did anyone in the world doubt that returning champion Derek Hough and Jennifer “Baby” Grey would not kill it during freestyle? Hasn’t Jennifer and Derek’s freestyle dance been what we all have been waiting to see all season long? Jennifer herself even said before the dance, “I’m a bad ass, what can I say?” So, of course the DWTS producers saved this dance as the last dance of the season.

The dance started with Jennifer holding a watermelon, an homage to her classic, “I carried a watermelon” intro in Dirty Dancing to “Do You Love Me (Now That I Can Dance).”

But I admit that I for one was a bit disappointed in Jennifer’s dance as I felt Derek did a lot of the heavy lifting by doing the jaw-dropping jumps and somersaults. But I give credit where credit is due and admit Jennifer was the hottest 50-year old ever to have danced a top the judge’s table. I don’t know if it was emotion taking over or Jennifer exuding confidence that she will end up with the mirror-ball trophy, but Jennifer ended her dance and the night by kissing each member of the judge’s panel as if she were accepting her predestined victory. About her freestyle, Carrie Ann said: “I thought it was amazing. I thought it was perfect.” Bruno said both of Jennifer’s dances were “equally brilliant!” Len basically crowned Jennifer the winner by saying: “You’re like a juggernaut..You’re heading down that freeway, heading for the mirror-ball trophy.” And with all that gushing adulation, of course came another perfect score of 30 from the judges.

Here’s how the leaderboard stacked up:
Jennifer & Derek: 60 (30, 30)
Kyle & Lacey: 56 (27, 29)
Bristol & Mark: 52 (27, 25)

On Tuesday’s two-hour finale, the three remaining contestants will dance twice more for judges’ points only and a new winner will claim the mirror-ball trophy.

Who do you all think will win it all? Who do you think should win it all?

Jake Pavelka To Star In Bold And The Beautiful

Jake Pavelka of The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and most recently of Dancing With the Stars, will be playing the role of a pilot on The Bold and the Beautiful.

The episode of his one-time appearance will air January, 2011.

Funny that Jake is playing a pilot on TV since in real life, he flies planes for Delta Airlines.
As his last stint on TV, Jake played a dating reality show contestant on Drop Dead Diva. In Jake’s case, seems like it is art that imitates life.

White Powder Found In Envelope Addressed To Bristol Palin – DWTS Studio Evacuated

People are not happy with Bristol Palin being in the finale of Dancing with the Starsand they are voicing their disapproval is strange, violent ways.

Late Friday night, the FBI and L.A. emergency officials rushed to CBS studios from where DWTS is broadcast after a CBS employee had found an envelope containing a suspicious white powder addressed to contestant Bristol Palin, says TMZ.

ABC released this statement: “An envelope containing an unknown substance was delivered to the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ production office on Friday evening. Security and the Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles Police Department were immediately notified. Measures were taken to secure the area and ensure the safety of personnel. Ultimately, we were advised by the LAFD that the substance was determined to be talcum powder.”

The FBI also stated that the “letter will be transported to a regional lab for further testing” and “a joint investigation is continuing.”

This comes on the heels of a man in Wisconsin shooting his TV Monday night and then turning the gun on his wife in an attempt to shoot her after he watched Bristiol Palin’s performance on DWTS and because he did not think Bristol belongs on the show. The shooting led to a 15-hour stand off over Monday night, calling for the involvement of hostage negotiators. Per TMZ, the man was charged with 2nd degree reckless endangerment and could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
