Chaz Bono: Ready To Go Back To Work!

What is Chaz Bono going to do now that he won’t be a part of Dancing With the Stars moving forward?

Per Bono’s manager, Howard Bragman, Bono is now ready for the next chapter of his life and says there are plenty of opportunities for his client such as acting, voice-over work and endorsements.

Bragman tells TMZ that Bono took no meetings during DWTS but his management team will brainstorm this week to plot out a strategy for Bono’s next moves.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy: “I Have Nothing To Apologize For”

Maksim Chmerkovskiy is being quite vocal this week. On Monday night’s Dancing with the Stars, Chmerkovskiy gave a tongue lashing to the judges, Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli and went so far as telling Goodman it may be time for the man to retire.

Some of the other dancers took Maks’ side. But Derek Hough reportedly said the judges are fair and generous with their comments. That apparently did not sit well with Maks.

In an interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America, Chmerkovskiy said, “Derek Hough has been very supportive of his personal career on the show.” Maksim continued, “When you say judges have been generous, with all due respect, if I had Nicole Scherzinger followed by Jennifer Grey followed by Ricki Lake, I probably would not be very upset with the judges either.”

Maksim is currently paired with World Cup goalie Hope Solo. Last season, he was paired with Kirstie Alley and Brandy the season before that.  I guess in Maks’ eyes, his partners do not compare to Derek’s.

“I had a long conversation with my dad and I don’t regret anything,” Maksim said on Good Morning America. “That’s why I think I’m misunderstood in this situation. Everyone is waiting for me to bow my head and plead for forgiveness. I have nothing to apologize for. I’m in the business because I love it. I can’t really lose with remarks like this.”

“One thing I’m not going to embrace is pointing fingers and disrespectful remarks,” Maksim said. Obviously referencing judge Tonioli’s comparison of Chaz Bono to a penguin, Maks asked, “Why are judges allowed to compare us to animals and point their fingers and we can’t say we’re work and show our opinion?”

After he let off some steam on GMA, a more calmed Max told Us Weekly:

“I love the show, and am very lucky to have this second family.”

Maks concluded: “I am looking forward to next week’s dances and focusing on that with Hope at this time. I want to also thank our fans for being loyal and supportive.”

Cher Goes Ballistic On Twitter, Defending Chaz Bono

Every once in a while, we all need a mom like Cher!

The superstar did not like her son Chaz Bono being judged unfairly on Dancing with the Stars or being called a cute, fluffy penguin, and, so, like any pissed off mom would in the age of social media predominance, Cher took to Twitter to voice her rant.

“I Have Got 2Hold my TEMPER ! MY Tears R OK!” Cher wrote. “Congratulations Chaz I’m SO PROUD OF U! This was YOUR Quest…& u Followed your Star.”

Cher isn’t mad at all DWTS judges, just the male ones. To Carrie Ann Inaba who has repeatedly told Chaz that he moves her, Cher wrote: “Thank u Carrie Ann 4 your Gentility u r beautiful inside & out!”

But Cher had a different message for Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli: “To the Gentleman? I didn’t know who u we’re b4 which I guess is a blessing!” Cher continued about Chaz’ elimination off of the show by saying, “Going Home is Fine but why insult him b4 he Goes! Maybe Rudeness & Flapping Arms take the place of TALENT!”

Cher had a special message for Goodman: “As for the Older Gentleman ….every Show Needs A Grumpy Old Man!”
In case you did not get all that, Cher sent a summary of her Tweets: “Condensed version …The Chick is beautiful & Polite! The Men suck.”
When a fan accused Cher via Twitter that she is acting like a “very bad loser” by writing her, “u r acting like a very bad loser. I hope Chaz isnt acting like this!!” Cher responded by saying: “I assure u he isnt! Hes the nice 1.” Cher ended her night by saying, “Not Gone & I’m Good! Needed 2 Vent ! It Would Have Been Blast if Chaz Stay-ed, But He NEVER Danced b4,so it was a Great Dream 4 a Great Guy! XX.”
I bet Maksim Chmerkovskiy wishes he had Cher in his corner. Not that he needed any help against Goodman himself.

VIDEO: Maksim Chmerkovskiy And Len Goodman Fight It Out On Dancing With The Stars

10/27 Update: Click here to read Maks’ latest interview on his comments and on Derek Hough

HOPE SOLO AND MAKSIM CHMERKOVSKIY danced the Rumba on Dancing with the Stars, Broadway Night, October 24, 2011. After the dance, Maks and the judges, especially Len Goodman, got into a war of words. Here is a recap:

Hope seemed a bit shaken after last week’s judges’ comments and was heard saying afterwards, “I don’t think I can do this!” Maks brought in three dancers from the DWTS Troupe to help her dance sexy. Hope got the moves while the dancers were there, but the next day, she seemed to have forgotten, prompting Maksim to tell her that he is losing faith in her as well. He tried to clean it up by saying he is the only one that still has not given up on her.

The duo danced the Rumba to Seasons of Love. Carri Ann Inaba said she sees all of the efforts Hope puts into her movements and said she saw her relaxing and trusting her natural sexiness for the first time, coming out in glimpses of a beautiful vulnerable girl. But she said Hope sometimes forces the moves so much that it distorts them. Carri Ann gave them a 7.

Len Goodman said he was at a loss because he never lost faith in her because he believes she still has a lot of potential. He told her this was her worst dance of the whole season. He said he was really disappointed. When Max tried to get the crowd to boo Len, Len said, “Max, don’t start all that because half the fault is yours.” Maks said, “As long as the audience liked our journey, we’re good.”  Len shot back, “Let me tell you Maks, the audience like the effect, I’ve been in this business for nearly fifty years, my criteria to judge is different.” Maks quipped, “Maybe it’s time to get out!” Carri Ann scolded Maks,  “WOAH! Don’t be disrespectful like that!” Maks said, “Don’t be disrespectful like that to everybody because everybody is putting in a lot of effort, dying and killing themselves always to hear your guys’ a little judgmental comments, you know what I mean? I am not being disrespectful, I am just protecting my partner!” Len gave them a 6.

Bruno Tolioni: “First, Hope, look at me, performance, difficult song and you portrayed the emotion…It worked sometimes but the Rumba never stops moving…It never gelled quite as well as it could have.” Bruno gave them a 7.

After the judges’ scores, Maks continued telling Brook Burke, “With all due respect, this is my show. I helped make it what it is. I love every aspect of it. I love every professional that has ever been here and every celebrity that puts effort in to every week. Having said that, I am a little tired that we’re being judged some on effort and some being picked on our heel leads.”

Here are their telephone numbers for voting:

CELEBRITY QUOTE OF THE DAY.

Carson Kressley sadly got the boot off of Dancing with the Stars last night, but, as expected, he left in entertaining style. This is what he said right after the show:

“At the end when they played the montage, it was like, oh my god I died! I even started to well up a bit. Am I going to fade out and is there going to be a date [of death]?

“…we were dancing our final dance … you’re never gonna dance again…and I am going to dance again, da**it!”
