CSI: Miami’s Eva LaRue Lends Her Voice To Persecuted & Silenced Baha’i Community

Eva LaRue, Emmy-nominated actress (All My Children) and current star of the world’s No. 1 rated TV series, CSI: Miami, recently took time out of her busy schedule to attend a special reception at Capitol Hill, held by U.S. Senator Mark Kirk.

Sen. Kirk has introduced bipartisan resolutions in Congress regarding a cause near and dear to LaRue’s and my hearts: Calling attention to the continued plight of Iran’s persecuted Baha’i community. The bicameral resolutions condemn the Iranian regime’s continued persecution of its Baha’i minority, call on the regime to release Baha’i prisoners and urge President Obama and Secretary Clinton to designate Iranian officials and other individuals directly responsible for egregious human rights violations in Iran. Ashton Kutcher Has His First Argument With Two And A Half Men Cast

Ashton Kutcher just tweeted the first unofficial cast photo with his Two and a Half Men costars Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones. The caption read, “first cast argument 2.5 men.” Love the jokester.

Kutcher had previously said, “I can’t wait to get to work with this ridiculously talented ‘2.5’ team and I believe we can fill the stage with laughter that will echo in viewers’ homes. I can’t replace Charlie Sheen but I’m going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people!”

I for one can’t wait Ashton!

Confirmed! Ashton Kutcher To Replace Charlie Sheen On Two & A Half Men – How Much Will He Get Paid?

This is surprising news, at least to me. Months and months of speculation surrounded the replacement of Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men, but one name that I never heard actually made the final cut.

CBS and Warner Bros. Television confirmed on Friday that Ashton Kutcher has been selected to play the sought-after role moving forward on the CBS hit comedy.

Kutcher said in a press conference: “I can’t wait to get to work with this ridiculously talented 2.5 team and I believe we can fill the stage with laughter that will echo in viewers’ homes. I can’t replace Charlie Sheen but I’m going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people!”

“We are so lucky to have someone as talented, joyful and just plain remarkable as Ashton joining our family,” said Chuck Lorre, the show’s creator and Executive Producer. He continued, “Added to that is the deep sigh of relief knowing that our family stays together. If I was any happier, it’d be illegal.”

Per TMZ, Kutcher will be bringing home between $625,000 – $900,000 per episode. Sheen was getting paid $1.25 million an episode.

Kutcher had a bit of fun on Twitter before CBS and Warner Bros. Television made the official announcement Friday. He sent this message via Twitter: “What’s the square root of 6.25?” I am not a math genius, but I do believe the answer may be 2.5.

Congrats Ashton. I will be looking forward to watching your beautiful face on TV from now on and on a weekly basis!
