Anne Hathaway Speaks On Being Compared To Tasmanian Devil By James Franco

Anne Hathaway graces the latest cover of Harper’s Bazaar and inside she discusses her controversial debut as cohost of this year’s Academy Awards with James Franco.

“In the grand scheme of things, I got to have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” Hathaway said. “I met great people, wore beautiful clothes. And I got to put on a show. I don’t see a downside. Anyone who disliked my personality probably disliked my personality before the Oscars.”
It wasn’t just her personality that people may have disliked. Many also wondered if her cohost Franco was under the influence during the broadcast. Franco addressed the accusations on Late Show with David Letterman and said he may have looked stoned on the Academy Awards because “Anne Hathaway is so energetic, …the Tasmanian Devil would look stoned standing next to Anne Hathaway…she has a lot of energy.”
What was Hathaway’s reaction to being compared to the Tasmanian Devil? “How did I take it? I let James know that a whirling dervish is a more flattering comparison than a Tasmanian Devil. I called him, and we e-mailed a bit,” Hathaway said. Say what you will about her hosting capabilities, at least Hathaway proved she is a good sport!
In the interview, she also talks about her upcoming role as Catwoman in Dark Knght Rises alongside Christian Bale, and her boyfriend, Adam Shulman.

Watch The Oscars Opening Montage Video Of Anne Hathaway & James Franco Getting “Inceptioned” By Alec Baldwin

VIDEO CLIP OF THE DAY.

What did you guys think of Anne Hathaway and James Franco as Oscar co-hosts? I ask because I still have not been able to watch most of the show – Too busy posting photos from the red carpet.

But the parts I watched did not seem too amusing or impressive. I mean, all I saw were verbal mistakes and shameless butt kissing of other celebs. They also lost me when Hathaway said a perk of her Oscars hosting gig was her chance to breathe the same air as Oprah Winfrey. Now, I love Oprah as much as anyone, but come on, really? Breathing the same air?

Maybe the earlier parts of their hosting were good? You tell me, cause I would love to know.

I did see the Oscars opening montage video and found that quite funny and well made.
Watch it for yourself as Hathaway and Franco try to break into Alec Baldwin‘s dreams ala Inception style:

James Franco & Anne Hathaway “Grease” It Up! Watch The Video

When I first heard that James Franco and Anne Hathaway were going to co-host the Oscars this year, my first thought was, “Oh boy, borefest!”

But, I admit, the two have grown on me since partly due to the Oscar promo video and I am looking forward to watching their antics this Sunday.
Adding hype to their upcoming Sunday co-hosting duties, Franco tweeted a short video on Wednesday which features the two reenacting the final scene of Grease
Although there is no dialogue on the clip, the two certainly look the part of Sandy and Danny. There is no explanation on whether this clip is prepared for the Oscars or not, but my guess is, a big yes!

If you are on CelebMagnet’s homepage, click on “Read More” below to see the full three-page cover..

Upcoming Oscar hosts Anne Hathaway and James Franco are featured on the cover as are pretty boys Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds.

The magazine decided to go “back to the basics – no teenagers, no penguins, no (full-on) nudity, just the most exciting actors and actresses of the moment.”

Other stars on the cover include newly-cast Spider-man Andrew Garfield, Jennifer Lawrence, Anthony Mackie, Olivia Wilde, Jesse Eisenberg, Mila Kunis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Rashida Jones, Garrett Hedlund, Noomi Rapace, and Robert Duvall.

Vanity Fair‘s fashion and style director Jessica Diehl said: “We wanted to evoke the glamour of 1930s Shanghai, an era of smoky, alluring elegance. We had the gentlemen looking dashing in black tie, whilst the ladies were radiant in spring’s gowns – from Gucci to Yves Saint Laurent – and glittering with diamonds from Chanel and other arbiters of glamour.”

The issue hits newsstands February 3 in New York and Los Angeles and then nationally on February 8.

ABC Releases Oscar Promo Video Of Anne Hathaway & James Franco

Show a little boob (ok, A LOT of boob) and cut your arm off in a movie and you get to host the biggest award show of the year.

Call me cynical, but I think that’s why Anne Hathaway and James Franco got the gig of a lifetime each to co-host this years’ Academy Awards.

Don’t hate me for stating the obvious.

Regardless of what I think, ABC just released its first promo photo of Hathaway and Franco and released a promo video clip showing how funny the two can be together.

I need more convincing than this video:

Anne Hathaway Is The Next Catwoman!

Anne Hathaway‘s star just keeps inexplicably rising. The upcoming co-host of this year’s Oscars has now been chosen to play Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, the next installment of the Batman franchise which will hit theaters in 2012. Not too shabby I must admit.

Batman Director Christopher Nolan announced the news today, calling Anne “a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story.”

Anne has a lot to prove as Catwoman as she is next in a long line of amazing actresses who have played this role in the past: Michelle Pfeiffer, Halle Berry, Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, and Eartha Kitt.

Good luck Anne – we’ll be watching you!
