The Betty White mania continues with her Primetime Emmy win this past Saturday for Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. If you have not seen White’s appearance in the May 2010 Saturday Night Live which won her this Emmy, you should immediately go to Hulu and see selected clips of that episode.
The trophy is the fifth Primetime Emmy received by the 88-year-old White, according to the TV academy. Her previous wins were for roles on various TV classics such as The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls.
Although White did not attend in person, she won her latest Emmy at the non-televised Creative Arts Ceremony which is the precursor to the main August 29 Primetime Emmy Awards and where two-thirds of the Awards are handed out.
Some other notable winners Saturday include:
Ryan Seacrest for producing the Best Reality TV Series (Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution)
Neil Patrick Harris for Best Guest Actor – Comedy Series (Glee)
John Lithgow for Best Guest Actor – Drama Series (Dexter)
Jeff Probst for Best Reality Show Host (Survivor)
Mia Michaels for Outstanding Choreography (So You Think You Can Dance)
Modern Family for Best Casting (comedy)
Mad Men for Best Casting (drama)
The televised portion of the Primetime Emmy Awards will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon and will air Sunday, Aug. 29 (8 p.m. ET) on NBC.

Comedian Robert Kelly, who toured with Dane Cook on Tourgasm, was spotted this weekend doing stand-up comedy in Marco Island, Florida at the Off The Hook Comedy Club (a crab shack).
Kelly jokes, “You know you are fat when you use bread as a napkin”. When asked about this gig at Off The Hook Comedy Club by our field reporters Melissa and Hayward Taylor, Kelly told them he has made it since he is now performing in a “f*cking fish restaurant.”

Justin Guarini To Make Broadway Debut In Women On The Verge of A Nervous Breakdown
Justin Guarini may so far be best known for not having won the first season of American Idol, or for starring in the Box Office flop, From Justin to Kelly (which sadly ranks as #22 on IMDB.com’s all-time 100-worst-rated movies). But Guarini is hoping all that is about to change very soon.
Guarini may have lost to Kelly Clarkson on Idol but he just won a key role in the Broadway musical, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, set to open in New York this November.
Guarini will play the role of Carlos and will join a slew of other Idol alums who have appeared on Broadway, including, Constantine Maroulis, Fantasia Barrino, Clay Aiken, and Diana DeGarmo.

Steven Tyler Falls Off Of Stage Again–This Time, Toronto [Video]
Why does this keep happening? Why does Steven Tyler keep falling off of the stage while performing?
I almost died laughing seeing Tyler getting hip-butted by Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, and landing head-first into the crowd. It’s only funny to me because Tyler was OK, got right back on stage, yelled, “It ain’t gonna happen again, baby,” and kept rocking the crowd in Toronto.
But, Tyler can’t keep avoiding death this way. I hope American Idol hires him soon. THAT WAY, Tyler can still enjoy his time on stage, but instead of risking his life, he will just sit and avoid any more accidents or injuries.
See the video below for the latest fall.
Here is Tyler falling off of the stage last August in Sturgis, South Dakota, ironically during the same song (Love in an Elevator):
Kim Kardashian’s Bikini Calendar Photo
I have been saying for months, I hope Kim Kardashian marries Miles Austin of the Dallas Cowboys. I say this because 1. I am a die-hard Cowboys fan; 2. I want the Cowboys to win the Super Bowl; and 3. I think the Kardashian sisters are good luck charms. Continue reading
Madonna Sued For Deceptive Use Of “Material Girl” Trademark
Remember when I reported in June that Madonna and her daughter Lourdes had created a new fashion line together for Macy’s called Material Girl? Didn’t that sound like the cutest thing ever?
Well, it’s not so cute anymore. Not since L.A. Triumph, Inc. filed suit against Madonna claiming Madonna’s “Material Girl” line infringes on L.A. Triumph’s “Material Girl” clothing line which was established in 1997.
According to TMZ, L.A. Triumph wants a declaration from a federal judge that Madonna’s use of “Material Girl” creates “deception” in the marketplace and wants the judge to order Madonna and her company to turn over all of the profits they’ve made from their clothing line.
This just sounds crazy to me. I have never heard of LA Triumph or the clothing line Material Girl associated with anyone other than Madonna. Madonna is the “Material Girl.” But if this is true, was Madonna’s lawyer asleep at the wheel? How hard was it to do a trademark search before launching Madonna’s clothing line? This sounds fishy to me. I can’t wait to see how this one unfolds.
