Music Legend Etta James Dies

After a long struggle with leukemia, legendary singer Etta James has passed away. She was 73.

Her longtime friend and manager, Lupe De Leon, confirmed the death of the four-time Grammy winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member:

“This is a tremendous loss for the family, her friends and fans around the world. She was a true original who could sing it all – her music defied category or genre.”

“I worked with Etta for over 30 years. She was my friend and I will miss her always.”

VIDEO: Demi Lovato Urges Teens To Donate Jeans To The Homeless

Demi Lovato is encouraging teens to take part in DoSomething’s fifth annual Teens for Jeans campaign with Aeropostale.

The 19-year-old entertainer is the spokesperson for campaign which urges teens to collect gently-worn jeans and donate them to the two million homeless teens around the country.

Electronic Arts and Katy Perry have struck an “extensive and exclusive creative collaboration” for The Sims franchise.

The Sims Studio plans on developing multiple games which will feature Perry-themed simulated content and virtual goods (hairstyles, clothing, furniture and props).  Steve Schnur, worldwide executive of Music for EA said: “Today marks the start of the most integrated and exciting collaboration with any artist in the history of The Sims.” Continue reading
