SPOTTED: Liam Hemsworth, Alexander Ludwig and Amandla Stenberg at Barnes & Noble at The Grove for a special book signing of The Hunger Games.

The cast of the movie which premiered at midnight March 23, 2012 stayed for hours to sign books, posters and other memorabilia for the hundreds of fans lined up to meet the actors.

The Hunger Games – a movie which has already set box office records for advanced ticket sales – comes out March 23. Its star, Jennifer Lawrence, is almost guaranteed to to be the next worldwide sensation and “it girl.” But believe it or not, the actress herself does not want any part of that.

“I look at Kristen Stewart now and I think, ‘I’d never want to be that famous,'” Lawrence says in the most recent issue of Glamour UK. “I can’t imagine how I’d feel if all of a sudden my life was pandemonium.” Continue reading

A feature-length film that examines the persecution of Iran’s Baha’is opened Friday in Los Angeles, CA, ahead of a program of screenings scheduled throughout the United States and in other countries.

Iranian Taboo is the work of celebrated Dutch-Iranian filmmaker Reza Allamehzadeh.
“In spite of the fact that I’m banned from entering my homeland, I managed to film deep inside Iran with the help of devoted friends who risked their lives to film the footage that I needed,” said Mr. Allamehzadeh, who is not a Baha’i. Continue reading
