“Star Musician” 2012 Finals Crowns Best Iranian Musicians [PHOTOS]

After a world-wide search for the most talented Persian vocalist and instrumentalist, the Star Musician competition chose its Top 10 finalists who traveled the world to perform at the finals June 9, held at the spectacular 2,000-seat Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, California.

Star Musician judges included pop icon Andy Madadian, legendary producer Farokh ” Elton” Ahi, Grammy-nominated guitarist Ardeshir Farah, renowned lyricist Paksima Zakipour, and highly-sought after director Siros Kerdouni. These accomplished judges, along with the help of the voting public, chose the final two winners of the night.

SPOTTED: On Wednesday night, St. Felix Hollywood hosted the annual star-studded event Music Saves Lives and welcomed recording artist and “The Voice” star Christina Milian, “Sex & the City” star Max Ryan, and action-packed performances by hip hop legends Slick Rick and KRS-One. SPOTTED: Some of the most beloved Iranian and Armenian celebrities attended ‘An Evening of Stars: A Tribute to Apick Youssefian’ in Glendale, CA May 20, 2012.

Apick Youssefian is one of the pioneers in theater, film and television industry in pre-revolution Iran. Her career started at a very young age with the Jaffari Theater Group, followed by starring roles for the Oskoui Theater Group. Maria Menounos is Derek Hough‘s leading lady on Dancing with the Stars but it looks like Derek’s mom may be his fave dancing partner off of the show.

SPOTTED: The lovely Courtney Mazza and daughter Gia at Joico’s 4th Annual On the Go Beauty Mother’s day event at Thompson Beverly Hills Hotel.

Baby Gia was as sweet and well-behaved as can be. Dressed in the cutest pink tutu, she could not keep her hands off of the sweet treats offered at the event.  Courtney meanwhile sipped on some Serenitea and picked up makeup from NYX Cosmetics.

Courtney spoke of how she got her sexy figure back so quickly after giving birth and plans for the December wedding with fiance Mario Lopez who had finished up a 3 mile Revlon Walk in Los Angeles earlier that morning.
