Maria Menounos is Derek Hough‘s leading lady on Dancing with the Stars but it looks like Derek’s mom may be his fave dancing partner off of the show.

I caught up with Derek and his mom recently at The Grove and the two put on a show just for me! See the exclusive photos and video below of the dynamic duo.

Just recently, Derek wrote on his webiste: “My mother is an incredibly gifted artist with a creative mind.” Hough added, “Dancing with My Mom for Mother’s Day!”

“She introduced me to the arts and was always so encouraging,” Hough continues. “Even if I did something terrible, she would praise it and boost my confidence when I was a kid. She drove me to drum lessons, karate anddragged me to dance.”
