MADONNA! To Touch Glee For The Very Second Time…

I am almost too afraid to post this article for the increased heart palpitating effect it may have on majority of my readers..but HEY, GLEE FANS, YA, YOU ALL, GUESS WHAT? It’s official: The music of Madonna will be coming back to Glee. Series head honcho Ryan Murphy confirmed the rumors on Monday at the Peabody Awards in New York City.“We are, we’re doing a sequel to the Madonna (episode),” he told Access Hollywood.  
I have only watched one episode of Glee. I was on the treadmill at the gym, watching American Idol as I ran when Glee came on after Idol finished. AND, it happened to be the original Madonna-filled Glee episode. I must admit, that episode was just interesting-enough that it kept me on the treadmill an extra 30 minutes longer than I had planned just so I could see what the hype was all about. Everyone else I know watched that episode in its entirety and deems the Madonna-Glee marriage a most heavenly union.

Charlie Sheen Is Coming Back To Two & A Half Men? Anyone Jumping For Joy?

Poll time – who watches Two and a Half Men? The show which also stars Jon Cryer, is supposedly a key part of CBS’ Monday night lineup. So much so, that last year, the network gave the show a three-year renewal, through the 2011-12 season. So, CBS is now elated that the main star of the show, Charlie Sheen, has agreed to come back for at least another season. This leaves me extremely confused because all I know about this show is that every time a commercial for this show comes on TV, someone in the room I am in inevitably asks, “Does anyone even watch this stupid show?” When amazing shows such as Lost get a much shorter life span than a show no one I know watches, I just want to scream. Considering CBS studios is located across the street, maybe the right people would hear me. Cancel this show already.

Brad Paisley, Keith Urban & Lady Antebellum Team Up For Nashville

I love it when famous people put their names towards good will. Take the case of country music singers Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and my current favorites, Lady Antebellum, all of whom joined other entertainment stars in performing and answering phones to help raise more than $1.5 million for flood relief for Tennessee.“If there is a silver lining, it’s that the world is getting to see Nashville at its best through this tragedy,” Paisley said during the telethon Sunday on the GAC Network.

Please Simon Cowell, Please, Please Don’t Kill American Idol. Please.

CELEBRITY ENCOUNTER.

   I am the biggest American Idol fan-nerd there is. Even on seasons that the contestants are sub-par like this year, I still watch every episode and attend as many live airings as possible. This season, I have been there in person 3 times. Each time, I have been placed amongst the 16-years olds in the pit, near the stage and near the judges’ table, which makes it really easy to interact with Ryan, the judges, the contestants and the guests.

As you probably know, Idol’s most loved/hated judge, Simon Cowell, will be leaving Idol after this season to usher in his new show, The X Factor. Last time I was at Idol, Simon Cowell came within my arm’s reach between commercials. “HEY, HEY SIMON!” “Yes?” He replied in his recognizable British accent. “Please do not leave Idol next year.” Simon raised an eyebrow. I pleaded, “If you leave, you will kill the show.” He just chuckled and winked at me, knowing I may just be restating the most obvious fact in the world. Damn you Simon, the American Idol killer.

Fox has a lot on its hands. Not only does it have to find a replacement for Simon, Fox also has to make significant changes to the show’s format for next season to keep up with demands of a fading fan base. For the former problem, Peter Rice, entertainment chairman of the Fox Networks Group, has said,”We have to find a judge to replace Simon who provides both musical credibility and an incredible entertainment value. Anytime you have a change, it’s something you have to do right.” Ya, good luck with that one Peter.

Idol still remains television’s favorite show, but has seen its ratings drop by 8 percent this season, according to the Nielsen Co. In order to address the problem of the show’s diminishing popularity, a problem which will surely be exacerbated once Simon leaves, Fox will finally listen to fan demands for more performances by increasing the Tuesday night competition shows next season from an hour to 90 minutes. The Wednesday results show, on the other hand, will be chopped in half to 30 minutes.

Oh well, I guess Idol had a nice 9-season run while it lasted. I wanna hear from you all. Do you think Idol can survive past the vacancy left behind by Simon’s departure? Who do you think can fill Simon’s seat? What do you think of the proposed changes to the show’s format? Let me warn you! “I don’t care” would be a horrible, rubbish answer.

One Way Or Another, I Know LOST Will Break My Heart May 23

The pilot episode of Lost is and will forever be the best pilot episode ever created for television. Every single one of us was mesmerized from the first eye popping scene. What began with a plane crash though, turned real weird, real fast. Or real slow, depending on how much leeway each of us decided to give the writers. Time travel, crazy scientific stations, barren women, parallel universes, a smoke monster, a bizarre life-giving stream. After almost 6 years of agony, I still hold on to the slim glimmer of hope that we as a collective group of Lost fanatics will have resolution for some of Lost‘s most provocative and mind-blowing questions, but, I alas, am afraid, all Lost will deliver is more heartbreak ala Sun and Jin style. Regardless, please hold off all phone calls, texts, emails during the 2.5 hour finale set for 9 PM on ABC on May 23. Or even afterward when I will be either crying, jumping off head-first from my first-floor balcony or watching a post-finale special, Jimmy Kimmel Live Aloha to Lost. Actually, don’t bother me on the prior Saturday either as I am sure to be watching the original pilot set to air with added pop-up balloons along with a two-hour retrospective called “Lost: The Final Journey“. Damn you Lost, Damn you.

Big Thumbs Up For Middle Eastern Women!

To this, I say, it’s about time. A 24-year-old Arab American from Michigan took the 2010 Miss USA title Sunday night, despite stumbling in her evening gown. Rima Fakih of Dearborn, Michigan, won the pageant at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas after strutting confidently in an orange and gold bikini, wearing a strapless white gown that resembled a wedding dress and saying health insurance should cover birth control pills (I thought it did already, but hey, what do I know). When asked how she felt about winning the crown, she said, “Ask me after I’ve had a pizza.” (Maybe had she eaten that pizza before the pageant, she would have had enough energy to prevent the stumble. Regardless, congratulations Rima, you make me want to sport my dark hair color again.)

Bret Michaels–Rock Star Or Man Of Steel?

Rock singer Bret Michaels will appear in the live season finale of The Celebrity Apprentice next Sunday night less than a month after suffering a brain hemorrhage. Bret will also appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show this Wednesday; perform at the Hard Rock Live in Biloxi, Mississippi on May 28 and is set to begin a tour with Lynyrd Skynrd on June 10 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Celeb Magnet could not be happier for Bret’s incredibly speedy recovery and I wish him the best in his future endeavors. My friend Erica took the words right out of my mouth: “It’s so funny, I was not a huge fan of his til Celebrity Apprentice, then I get to know him as something other than that ‘Rock of Love’ persona. He’s a sweetheart, creative and driven too.” Well said Erica, well said. Now, back to you Bret. You may be a rock star, but you are made of steel on the outside and something way softer and mushier on the inside!

Lady Gaga is one celeb who has so far eluded an encounter with me. Word on the street, literally the street I live on, is that the lady phenom used to live in my complex. Andy Grammer Just Murdered The Roxy!

As a thank you to his local fans, Andy played at the legendary Roxy Theater (The Roxy) tonight located on the famous Sunset Strip. Andy played a full set of songs off of his upcoming CD and was accompanied by a full band including an entire horns section. Andy is originally from New York, so it’s no wonder that the final selection of the night was Andy’s original, The Pocket mixed with a titillating rendition of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ Empire State of Mind; the melodic mix coupled with the raw emotions that only a true New Yorker can deliver, left the entire crowd not only begging for an encore, but with goosebumps as well, each the size of the Big Apple. The capacity crowd included fans of all ages including hundreds of screaming teenage girls. If the energy in that club tonight is any indication, Andy’s music will be rocking all the way to the top of the charts in the imminent future. Keep a look out for his single Keep Your Head Up to hit your local radio stations soon.
