Ricky Gervais To Make Appearance On The US Version of “The Office”

Details are sketchy here folks and I usually don’t print rumors, but this was promoted by The Office‘s Facebook page, so, it’s a bit more official than tabloid fodder.

It appears that David Brent of the British version of the show as played by Ricky Gervais and Michael Scott of the American version as played by Steve Carell will be meeting face to face at Dunder-Mifflin some time this season.

Per TVLine.com, inside sources confirm that Gervais will be making an appearance in an upcoming episode of the U.S. version of the show.
How exciting is that?!

I for one can’t wait for this awesomeness in the making. But I won’t get my hopes up that Gervais will take over the role of office manager permanently. Or could he? Would he?

Alex Lambert Of “American Idol” Homeless?

This past Monday I was at Nordstrom at The Grove and saw a handsome young man sitting on a couch in the shoe department for a long time.

I knew I had seen that sweet face on TV before, but could not place him. Then it hit me today. It was Alex Lambert, the guy with the soulful voice who got kicked off of last season’s American Idol way too early.

It turns out, the same day I saw him, he sent this sad message via Twitter:

“I’ve been kinda homeless! O my goodness yall! Ive been crashin on the street and behind buildings. I have a choice to stay and pursue my career or go back to texas and not do music! I’m usually a strong person but I can’t take it anymore. I’ve been goin to coffee shops and other stores so I can tweet to my snaf! Because to be honest! You guys are all I really have!”

In response, a spokesperson for 19 Entertainment responded to Lambert’s situation:

“He’s not homeless. He’s on a retainer, and he’s getting money every month. He’s working on demos. He’s with writers, he’s working on music. He’s not homeless. How could he be texting? How could he be going into [the] recording studio and sleeping on the streets? There’s no record deal yet, but hopefully something could come from [these demos].”

So, in response, Alex Tweeted:

“Sorry for the miscommunication. I’m just fine. The money that I was makin and have made I have sent home for my Mother and my 3 broke ass brothers sleepin on the ground! I just wanted the people that loved me to know what was really goin on. I know a lot of people think I tweeted my living situation for publicity! But I don’t give a damn about fame! I’m real! And I don’t lie! and I would never lie to y’all! (y’all being my supporters who got my back through thick and thin) Fu– yeah I was … sleepin outside! That shi- sucks too! I’m goin back home to get my shi- together! But I will be back! And I’m comin strong! LETS DO THIS!”

Poor guy–he really does have the talent to make it, just seems like he is a bit short on the luck side of life. Amazing how things could have turned out differently had he not been booted off of Idol too early. Good luck Alex, hope to run into you again kid.

Anne Hathaway Is The Next Catwoman!

Anne Hathaway‘s star just keeps inexplicably rising. The upcoming co-host of this year’s Oscars has now been chosen to play Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, the next installment of the Batman franchise which will hit theaters in 2012. Not too shabby I must admit.

Batman Director Christopher Nolan announced the news today, calling Anne “a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story.”

Anne has a lot to prove as Catwoman as she is next in a long line of amazing actresses who have played this role in the past: Michelle Pfeiffer, Halle Berry, Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, and Eartha Kitt.

Good luck Anne – we’ll be watching you!

Minka Kelly Talks About Marriage To Derek Jeter

Esquire named the former Friday Night Lights star, Minka Kelly, the 2010 sexiest woman alive, so I get why she was able to steal Derek Jeter’s heart.

Minka is featured in the February issue of GQ magazine where she talks about her engagement to Jeter, the infamous Delta flight, and her upcoming movie, The Roommate.

Mainly though, Minka clears up rumors about what Gawker called an “airplane freak-out” where Minka supposedly threw a temper tantrum about her dog not being allowed to sit with her in first class on a Delta flight. Per a Gawker informant, “She called boyfriend Derek Jeter and handed the phone to him to try and rationalize with the seven flight attendants it took to calm her down.”

Here are some excerpts from the interview:

On her looming marriage to Derek Jeter:

“I promise you, I’m not getting married in the next month.”

On the Delta flight:
“Do people think that somewhere in my brain, I think Derek can save me from someone telling me my dog can’t fly? If that’s the way I worked, he would have left me a long time ago.”

Meet Elton John’s Baby

Meet, Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John! Woowee, that’s a long ass name.

Who is this kid? Well, you can tell from the photo to the left that he is the one and only son of Sir Elton John and David Furnish, born via a surrogate on Christmas Day, 2010.

Pictured here a mere 10 days after Zachary’s birth, US Weekly tells the story of the dramatic birth of this couple’s first child.

“I’ve never felt anything like it in my life,” John tells Us Weekly. “You’re so awestruck. What can you say? You take it in. The feeling, the joy, the warmth of his body, his breathing…I will never forget that experience ever.”

According to the couple the birth was very “dramatic.” Elton explained: “Suddenly, at 2:15am on Christmas Day, we were woken up. They said, ‘Quickly! The baby’s coming!’ We went in and stood behind the bed. Then the top of the head came out and David said, ‘My God, there’s the head!’

“Then he shot out like a rocket basically, so much so that the obstetrician sort of caught him! It was so dramatic and exciting, we didn’t have time to get emotional. Like there he was, talk about fast!”

Zachary – you are a cutie! Congrats John and David.

Jennifer Aniston Hates The Rachel Hairdo

Jennifer Aniston is on the February cover of Allure magazine and inside the issue she poses for a pretty sexy photo inspired by a 1960s photograph of Brigitte Bardot (see below).

Aniston is way over people asking her about her long-time role as Rachel on Friends and she just doesn’t relate to the Rachel hair craze.

“Let’s just say there have been moments I’d rather not relive, like that whole Rachel thing,” she says.

“I love Chris [McMillan, my hairstylist], and he’s the bane of my existence at the same time because he started that damn Rachel, which was not my best look. How do I say this? I think it was the ugliest haircut I’ve ever seen. What I really want to know is, how did that thing have legs?”

Although Aniston seems a bit ungrateful for the role and the haircut which made her famous, it’s nice to hear that the A-list actress has the same body issues the rest of us normal women do: “My stomach is not my hardest [challenge]. My derrière is much more my challenge,” she explains.

Here are some highlights from the interview:

On benefits of the good old days on Friends:
“Look at Baby George. Baby Clooney. ER was right next door to us on the soundstage. That was really fun. I remember when we used to do crossovers like that. See, NBC used to be really cool. Then, you know…”
On dogs:
“Really, the most unconditional form of love that you can encounter is with a dog. They’re excited the minute you come home, and they show the same amount of excitement every day.”
On ABC’s The Bachelor:“You know what I find fascinating? The Bachelor. I was mesmerized by how these girls, they meet this guy, they have three dates together or something, and they’re weeping as though they’ve just lost the love of their life. I don’t understand that.”
Pick up the magazine for the full interview and more pictures of Jennifer from her Allure photo shoot.

Regis Philbin Retires

Regis Philbin is retiring from his talk show after nearly 25 years.

The 79-year-old host made the big announcement this morning on Live with Regis and Kelly.

No exact end date has been specified, but Regis plans to leave the show sometime in late summer. “I don’t want to alarm anybody, but this will be my last year on the show,” he said on Tuesday’s episode. “There is a time that everything must come to an end.”
Regis – you will be missed and are hard to replace. No word yet on who will take the seat next to Kelly Ripa. I nominate Ryan Seacrest!

Kristen Stewart’s Latest Interview: “I Hate Being Famous”

OK, Kristen Stewart, tell us something we don’t know already: You really hate being famous and in the public eye. Ya, ya, we know. It’s really awful.

Regardless, Kirsten graces the February cover of Vogue magazine, looking as awkward as ever in print. Sorta like a deer caught in headlights. Except she did give the interview and took the photograph willingly. So not sure why she looks so uncomfortable.

In the interview, Kristen talks about lots of depressing things in her life – as if fame, riches and being Robert Pattinson’s long-time girlfriend don’t outweigh the negatives that come along with being the main actress in one of the most successful movie series ever.

Here are some excerpts from this uplifting interview:

On her boyfriend, Robert Pattinson:

She refuses to discuss him, saying, “It’s not my job.”

On Filming in New Orleans:
“I feel so good walking down the street by myself. At least I used to.” She went back for an extra week of work during editing, and suddenly she couldn’t walk down the street anymore. “It really erupted,” she says. “It was a weird thing to watch.”
On Jake Gyllenhaal’s date Jenny Lewis at the Golden Globes:
“She’s the only person I’ve ever met that I can’t function around.”

On her Twilight character, Bella Swan:
[She’s] “embedded in so many people’s psyches at this point. It’s starting to enter my head a lot more than it used to because it’s at the end and it’s come such a long way. I just want the fans of the book to be happy.”

On being one of the most famous people on the planet:

“There’s no way to eloquently put this: I just can’t go to the mall. It bothers me that I can’t be outside very often. And also to not ever be just ‘some girl’ again. Just being some chick at some place, that’s gone.”

Ryan Seacrest & Julianne Hough – Walk The Red Carpet Together – Video

VIDEO CLIP OF THE DAY.

Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough made their first public outing last night as a couple, walking the red carpet together at the Golden Globe Awards.

These two are my fave celeb couple of the moment so I want to show them off via video on CelebMagnet! Watch the video interview of the happy couple below, taken by E! News.

Asked if this was indeed the couple’s first red carpet together, Seacrest said, “With the exception of the one we bought the other day that we put in our house.” He then continued jokingly, “Did I say ours? Just kidding. It’s mine.”

Hough on the other hand showed off her beautiful Marchesa gown and said she “felt like a woman” in it. Not to let an opportunity like that get away, Seacrest asked her what she felt like before, and Hough cutely answered, “A little girl, which you love.” And proceeded to hug him. AWWWWWWWW! So adorable!
