Jennifer Lopez: “I’ve Finally Learned You’ve Got To Love Yourself First”

Jennifer Lopez looks amazing on the cover of Glamour, sporting a a red Chloë Sevigny bustier and black pants. She’s also decked out in a Swarovski crystal anchor necklace by Salvatore Ferragamo, a Michael Kors gold necklace, Verdura gold bracelet, two Chanel Fine Jewelry gold, black onyx, and diamond bracelets, a Lorraine Schwartz white gold diamond bracelet, a Verdura gold, platinum, and diamond wide link bracelet and a Pomellato rose gold and diamond bracelet.

Here are some excerpts from the accompanying interview:

J.Lo on her next relationship:
“I think to give something a chance, to really get to know somebody, you want to do it out of the public eye. You know the media—they want to rush everything.”

J.Lo on her style:
“The things I liked when I was, like, 16 and in the Bronx—jeans, cut-up T-shirts—I still like. But I’ve been exposed to so much now from traveling the world and seeing couture clothes. I used all of that when I created my new line for Kohl’s. My style has come from everything, from where I started to where I am today.”

J.Lo on love and relationship lessons she’s learned:
“I think I’ve finally learned the biggest lesson of all. You’ve got to love yourself first. You’ve got to be OK on your own before you can be OK with somebody else. You’ve got to value yourself and know that you’re worth everything. And until you value yourself enough and love yourself enough to know that, you can’t really have a healthy relationship.”

Charlie Sheen Gets New Show

Charlie Sheen is heading back to TV.

FX Networks has signed on to air 10 episodes of Anger Management, a series which will feature Sheen as a therapist with a short temper. The show will be based on the 2003 movie which starred Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler.

The sitcom will premiere next summer and FX will pick up 90 more episodes if the ratings are strong.

John Landgraf, President and General Manager of FX Networks, says: “We think that Bruce Helford, Joe Roth and Charlie Sheen have come up with a wonderful, hilarious vehicle for Charlie’s acting talents – and a character we are very much looking forward to seeing him play. Two and a Half Men has been an outstanding component of FX’s schedule for the past 14 months, and we have every confidence that Anger Management will soon be as well.”

Maksim Chmerkovskiy: “I Have Nothing To Apologize For”

Maksim Chmerkovskiy is being quite vocal this week. On Monday night’s Dancing with the Stars, Chmerkovskiy gave a tongue lashing to the judges, Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli and went so far as telling Goodman it may be time for the man to retire.

Some of the other dancers took Maks’ side. But Derek Hough reportedly said the judges are fair and generous with their comments. That apparently did not sit well with Maks.

In an interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America, Chmerkovskiy said, “Derek Hough has been very supportive of his personal career on the show.” Maksim continued, “When you say judges have been generous, with all due respect, if I had Nicole Scherzinger followed by Jennifer Grey followed by Ricki Lake, I probably would not be very upset with the judges either.”

Maksim is currently paired with World Cup goalie Hope Solo. Last season, he was paired with Kirstie Alley and Brandy the season before that.  I guess in Maks’ eyes, his partners do not compare to Derek’s.

“I had a long conversation with my dad and I don’t regret anything,” Maksim said on Good Morning America. “That’s why I think I’m misunderstood in this situation. Everyone is waiting for me to bow my head and plead for forgiveness. I have nothing to apologize for. I’m in the business because I love it. I can’t really lose with remarks like this.”

“One thing I’m not going to embrace is pointing fingers and disrespectful remarks,” Maksim said. Obviously referencing judge Tonioli’s comparison of Chaz Bono to a penguin, Maks asked, “Why are judges allowed to compare us to animals and point their fingers and we can’t say we’re work and show our opinion?”

After he let off some steam on GMA, a more calmed Max told Us Weekly:

“I love the show, and am very lucky to have this second family.”

Maks concluded: “I am looking forward to next week’s dances and focusing on that with Hope at this time. I want to also thank our fans for being loyal and supportive.”

Steven Tyler: My Fall Was Caused By Food Poisoning, Not Alcohol

American Idol judge and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler took a bad fall in a Paraguay hotel room shower earlier this week and ended up with bruises, stitches and two teeth implants. As soon as the news was out about the incident, rumors started to fly that Tyler had fallen off of the sobriety wagon.

Not true, says Tyler who called Matt Lauer of the Today show Thursday to assure his fans that his recent fall did not have anything to do with alcohol use.

“It still bothers me a little,” Tyler said of the rumors, “but it’s something that I have to deal with for the rest of my life.”

Tyler insisted on the call that the fall was the result of food poisoning –“Montezuma’s revenge,” he called it–and not caused by his ongoing recovery from drug and alcohol abuse. “I get that people think that.”
This is what Tyler explained happened, “I was in the shower and I got nauseous and I started to get sick and I just fell on my face. I just passed out and woke up with the water on.” Tyler said the fall caused him to get four stitches above his eye and plastic surgery to get a tooth fixed, all in one swoop.

Despite the injuries, the 63-year old rocker could not be stopped from doing what he loves best: Tyler and Aerosmith took the stage last night in Paraguay. He told Lauer:

“Short of having my legs taken off, people are going to expect me on stage no matter what. It’s all about playing to the people. We rocked out. Not only did I break my face, but we broke a house record, so life is beautiful, Matt.”

Below are live blogging and spoiler results of who is the latest castaway and who won the duel on Redemption Island.

The Redemption Island Duel
Christine has won four duels in a row. In tonight’s duel, each competitor had to arrange planks in the correct order and build a bridge, then take it apart and complete a puzzle. Facing Mikayla, Christine won her fifth duel in a row and eliminated Mikayla from the competition. Christine stays to fight another duel.
The Immunity Challenge
Back at Savaii, Ozzy considers making a game-chaninging move. He decides that if his tribe loses the next challenge, which they do, he would volunteer to go to Redemption Island, beat Christine in a duel, come back to Savaii, reclaim the idol that he found, and make a run for the end.

The reward/immunity challenge involved members of each tribe adorning themselves with war paint and pairing up to compete as twins. One set of twins would act as callers and lead the other blind-folded pairs through a course to collect bags of puzzle pieces to complete a series of masks. The winning tribe would get a sneak peak of the new Adam Sandler movie Jack and Jill.

VIDEO:Josh Krajcik’s Voice Is Paula Abdul’s Favorite Over The Last Decade

During the first live show of the season, ex-burrito slinger Josh Krajcik chose to let his voice do all the talking on The X Factor USA.

And by that, I mean he gave a smoldering a Capella rendition of Bob Dylan’s classic Forever Young.

Simon Cowell said Krajcik’s performance was “probably the best performance we’ve had” so far on the show.
Paula Abdul went even further than that: “Your voice is my favorite voice I’ve heard in the past decade.”

VIDEO: Melanie Amaro Has Nothing But The Chance To Win The X Factor!

There were many amazing performances on the October 25, 2011 episode of The X Factor USA but one of the best of them was by Melanie Amaro.

The song Melanie chose, a Whitney Houston classic, I Have Nothing, prompted L.A. Reid to simply say, “We really did save the best for last because, honey, you were unbelievable.”

Simon Cowell, her mentor who also had eliminated her last week before graveling to get her back on the show, said he now thinks Melanie can win the whole thing.

Nicole Polizzi Says Snooki Is Not A Role Model, But Nicole Can Be!

Don’t confuse Nicole Polizzi with her Jersey Shore alter ego Snooki because one is a role model and the other one is a guidette. Get it? Got it? Good.

The MTV reality star told Today‘s Matt Lauer that she draws a line between her guidette alter ego and the person she actually is. “I think you see more of the party side of me …on [Jersey Shore], but right now, you’re talking to Nicole.” She described the Nicole side of her as “It’s like the soft, calm, business-ready person.”

Nicole went on to explain that the tanning addict, club-going drinker, fun-loving meatball, and makeout-loving queen that we see on the MTV hit show is not a role model. But that Nicole is. Or could be.

“Snooki’s definitely not a role model. Snooki’s just there to have fun in life,” she said. “Nicole, I would say, I can be a role model. I have a strong personality.”

“I’m very strong, independent and I’m loveable, I guess.”

Nicole, who is currently promoting her new book Confessions of a Guidette, explains:

“A Guidette is a girl with a strong personality. She doesn’t let anyone bring her down. She likes tanning. She’s very independent and she loves to be, like, flashy.”
