Mark Wahlberg knows a thing or two about being a famous teen star and is trying to give Justin Bieber some advice. And a break.

Bieber, who has been the center of several headline worthy scandals, got Wahlberg’s attention and now he’s trying to get Justin’s. “Justin, are you listening? Don’t be so naughty, yeah?” Wahlberg said in a Webchat with The Sun UK. “Be a nice boy, pull your trousers up, make your mum proud, yeah? Stop smoking all that weed, you little bastard,” Wahlberg joked.

After joking around, Wahlberg got a bit more serious. “He’s a kid. Let him live his life. I would hope that he would look at it like I wish I looked at it and think, ‘You know what, now is the time to be focused and to be disciplined and to be the best that I can be in this career.”

Wahlberg continued: “He’s a teenager living in a different day and age.” But Wahlberg did mention that Bieber’s career may be “short-lived” so the “nice enough kid” should work as hard as he can while his fame lasts.
