I don’t know about you ladies, but if a man were to spend almost $50,000 on a present for me, a pen would not be the first or second thing I’d like to be unwrapping.

But when Kristen Stewart turned 23 this week, boyfriend Robert Pattinson (oh yes, it’s so fully on again!) gifted her with a pen that costs a little more than $46,000.

Really.

A source told London’s Daily Star: “Kristen has always collected pens, and has a variety of stylish ones. Rob decided to go big for her birthday this year and brought her a limited edition white gold Tibaldi Bentley Crewe fountain pen. He had her name specially engraved on it with the year and wording: ‘From R’. There are only 40 of these pens in the world, so it’s a real collector’s item.”

A collector’s item? That would be a nice diamond ring. I’m just sayin Robert…
